Ordinarily, where connection problems occur with online lessons, we tend to find that these are impacted by localised settings issues.
For example, if you're using a VPN or if your internet connection is poor, these factors will impact the ability to connect to the meeting. We generally recommend that you may wish to use alternative formats, such as Zoom or Teams, if you're more comfortable with that.
Regarding your other point, we are only able to transfer a tutor's balance to their account via Paypal, which is why the option to enter your bank details for a transfer was not available.

Be careful!
I was after a language tutor about a year ago.
Before you can send a request you have to pay £39 which I did.
I accidentally subscribed for monthly student pass which I had no idea as I thought this is a one time payment, it really was not clear.
I am very careful what I buy online and from where, I did not notice at all that this was a monthly payment, I also did not receive a conformation email whatsoever or a receipt of any kind.
Unfortunately I paid the first payment trough my credit card which I normally never use and now nearly a year later I noticed that the payments has gone every month!
I have never used their services, I never got a tutor.
I contacted couple but it never worked out (on their end), so I have literally paid for nothing nearly £1000.
I have requested a full refund but I have not heard anything back.
however they had time to reply to this review which they clearly did not read.
There is no phone number to call.
If you are a legit company and not a scam, please reply to my emails.

Had to pay £39 which I thought was for a lesson with a specific tutor. Turns out it's for a subscription that lets you contact tutors, this was in no way clear. You have to pay £39 a month just to talk to tutors before you pay for lessons. Absolute charlatans. I've been trying to get a refund as I have absolutely no interest in this and in the terms and conditions it says if there is no tutor suitable for you you can have a refund. Well, none of them are suitable as I was only interested in one particular tutor who isn't available. I've tried 3 times to get in contact and have had no reply. Literally just trying to rip people off. Avoid at all cost!

Scam - waiting for a refund
We signed up for Superprof to contact a specific local teacher and were told "you will only be charged £39 for the Student Pass if a tutor accepts your lesson request". There was no way to submit the request without entering payment details. When this teacher said she was no longer available we deleted our account after a day. Despite this, we were charged £39 for a month. There are better sites for finding tutors with no charge or transparent pricing - avoid this one.

Not much luck since signing up..
Signed up and paid the fee with no luck at all. No response from any teachers despite lots of availability shown on site. Tutors who state they can do a home visit are now requesting my child be dropped off to their home??? (like I’m going to drop my 8 year old to someone I don’t know but obviously at home, we’re here to keep an eye on her). No luck finding anyone and now some tutors who state they can visit now want online which is what we don’t prefer. I’d honestly look around at other tutor websites first.

Cool user-friendly platform
As a tutor on Superprof, I find the platform very user-friendly. The booking system is a standout feature, intelligently sending reminders and clearly tracking how many hours are left in a student's package. This makes scheduling and administration much easier for both the teacher and the student.
The only area for improvement is the initial contact process. If a student hasn't fully set up their details, tutors can only send one initial message and must wait to be accepted before a proper conversation can begin. This can create a slight friction in converting potential leads.
Overall, it's a cool and effective platform that genuinely supports its tutors.

Site is a scam. They force you into a £39 recurring monthly subscription. This doesn't cover the cost of any lessons. They allege you only pay if you find a tutor, but that isn't accurate. If a tutor 'accepts' your initial message they accept. However if it turns out the tutor isn't available to actually schedule a lesson Superprof still charges.
