Really great communication and tape
Really great communication with Danielle from the beginning and the tape was super quick to arrive and we are really happy with the outcome. Efficient all round. Would definitely recommend for any businesses :)
Just really disappointed and upset after being a customer for a few years
Just really disappointed and was left feeling upset and asked them not to respond to me anymore because of how horrible I was being made feel.
I have used these guys for a few years and I made a complaint as customers of mine have been complaining that the tape is not working right, not too many only a few rolls. I raised a complaint but did not follow it through as I am a mum with a child and one on the way and trying to run a business, I absorbed the costs of these for a few months and I am not selling as much due to this at the moment compared to when I was working full time.
I then had a long term customer complain and also a tape I used not work. The tape doesn't unwind it just all sticks together.
I brought it to them and yes it was 15 months since the order of tapes so fair enough I wasn't asking for compensation but I got an immediate blame that it was my fault. No response suggesting ok we can sort this out and maybe offer a small credit note on future orders or maybe reprint some of the tapes considering I have already paid a plate charge or something but no just blame on me for not storing them right (which I have done) and also a suggestion that I wasn't placing enough orders for it to really matter. I told them I would have to look elsewhere as I was not happy and this was the reply
'That’s fine if you feel that way and you would like to look elsewhere, from our records you make an order a couple of times a year.'
I am sorry but that is suggesting I only make a couple of orders a year so it does not bother them to try and look after me. I may only make a few orders but these orders have been about £600 each.
Also I have 6 designs I print with them, not one design has ever done what these particular rolls of tape have been doing so that very strongly implied it was a fault maybe in a few rolls. They are stored correctly and so why was the blame placed on me.
I hate leaving anyone bad reviews but I just found this awful. I have a big company I use for frames and anytime a set of frames has been faulty they resend me them no questions asked with my next order. I was on maternity leave and had placed an order nearly 2 years before and found faulty frames and they replaced. Their argument with me was no company would offer compensation after 15months, yes fair enough maybe some don't but I have first hand experience of one doing it (rink it trade account). I wasn't asking a whole new set of 200+ rolls to be sent, I was asking for help and a decent conversation but what I got was the opposite. Below was the response about that..
'We cannot compensate you for this in any way due to the timescale of keeping the products.
Any consumer buying from a company big or small would know that companies wouldn’t compensate any faulty products 15 months from ordering.'
Sad about this and sorry for the negativity but this is what happened.
Fantastic Company
We have used Custom Tape Ltd a couple of times now and both times have been a great experience. The customer service is fantastic. We were unsure which tape best suited our company and the help we received was fantastic. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The tape is great quality and excellent value for money. It would be nice to be able to order and design on the website but with the high level of customer service it isn't the end of the world.
Great quality products, website needs an overhaul
Have been using for a while now for our branded packing tape. Great quality and very helpful staff. Really could do with improving website though to make it easier to order online, design online and repeat order with online payments rather than bank transfers. Having to email or call then set up bank transfers takes quite a bit of extra time.
Amazing Company Experience!
We've had a great experience with Custom Tape! I want to say a very big thank you as well to Lynn, she made the whole experience easy and helped us out with an urgent order with no problems at all. Our custom tape turned up earlier than expected and it looks great! We will definitely be a returning customer.

Great Tape, Great Service!
I've been working with Custom Tape on a few projects and they have been really great to work with! A really helpful chap, Adrian was very attentive in helping me throughout the whole process, especially with the artwork as that can sometimes be a bit complicated, he guided me the whole way! Would definitely recommend Custom Tape, plus their kraft paper tape has great eco-credentials, which was really important for me!
Dealing with this company was a breeze
Dealing with this company was a breeze. They are very professional. I was unsure about the colours and the artwork and they guided me each step of the way. When I received the goods, I was so pleased with the quality of the print! Absolutely impeccable! The design required circles to be cut in half at both edges and they delivered PERFECTLY. The colours are vibrant and the quality of the tape is very good. I dealt with Toni and with Adrian and they've always been very professional and helpful.
I am in the process of finalising my next order.
Others are better.. and cheaper!
Other companies are better.. and cheaper. Premier Limpet, Contact Packaging and Kilby’s are all just as good and you get what you actually ask for... in some cases at a cheaper price too.
In addition to this, the customer service departments of the companies above are open to listening to issues if they arise and set about resolving them where appropriate.
The tone of the emails I received from Customtape are best described as bullish and I still feel unheard 2 weeks later and have given up.
This frustrating experience has cost £400 without so much as a sorry from Customtape. They have repeatedly told me that the product they sent is much better than the one I ordered. They are not even acknowledging the fact that it is not what I ordered, and not what was specified.
I see from other reviews that this does seem to be an issue. I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered.

Shocking experience with custom tape
Our experience with customtape.co.uk was really really bad. I was left feeling a bit shocked that a company would behave in this manner.
We first emailed them to request a sample of their printed tape which they kindly sent.
The tape was good quality so we placed an order for a few hundred pounds of the same tape, but with our logo. We were quoted a lead time of a week, but three weeks later the tape hadn't arrived and our company had run out of our old tape as we hadn't ordered more after expecting customtape to deliver by this time.
When the tape arrived it was a different colour from the sample, a different size and a different adhesive type. Every single aspect of the tape was different.
I wrote to the sales rep and told her and she requested that I send 1 roll of the tape back, along with the sample to show her the difference. We sent the box back via signed and tracked delivery to the address she provided and despite the package arriving and being signed for with a geo location tracking, she said that nobody had received it.
After asking for a refund or a replacement, customtape simply stopped answering my emails. For us, the total loss is a few hundred pounds which isn't a big deal, but the whole experience with the company did leave us feeling a bit let down.
I definitely would not recommend this company. We switched back to Transpack and Kite who have delivered great quality tape to us for the past few years. The price is a little bit more, but at least you get what you paid for.
