I ordered some goods from SmashInn and…

I ordered some goods from SmashInn and for some reason they haven't managed to sort the delivery process out. On this occasion, they used Spring. My goods sat in their sorting office for 5 days without moving. Not what I call an efficient and effective delivery system. You are only as good as your weakest link, and for SmashInn, it's Spring Courier services

We had a couple of issues with one pan…

We had a couple of issues with one pan and one pot and the process of getting them replaced was excellent. Well done in providing a great service. A little worried that the pot scratched so easily but we trust that this was a blip in the process

We got there in the end

It was an exhausting process that took considerably more time and effort that I thought possible for such a task, but they got there in the end and Mr Solanki did his best to try and get things resolved. The system glitch didn’t help and my frustration stemmed from the inability to manage simple processes and no real plan B if the system failed.

Size issues and poor return policy

I ordered a number of shirts form the company, all the same size, but fitted very differently. They were sent to Singapore, and so I tried to find a cost effect return, but DHL and Fedex both quoted over USD150 to return the items. I asked Blakely if I could make the return when I returned to Europe and they said that it would be fine as long as I posted it within 14 days of arrival. This wasn't going to be possible, and so I found a service that cost me USD60 and was then told that they arrived outside the 14 day date, and so they would only provide me with a voucher. I would strongly recommend against buying from this company as I had a legitimate issue, and they didn't give a damn. So in short, shirts were different size fits despite being the same size and a terrible return policy..

Executive Club Call Centre

Executive Club Call Centre. Not fit for purpose. All I wanted to do was change my flight and the total process took no less than 50 mins because their payment system does not accommodate internet calls, calls where a speaker or headphones are being used. They hung up on me twice and the third time promised to call me back. No one did. The website is archaic and god forbid you want to change your ticket at the last minute. So, a sub optimal call centre and software from the 80’s

I stupidly decided to fly Lufthansa…

I stupidly decided to fly Lufthansa from Singapore to Geneva. Don’t do it. They seem autopsied that that 30 year old 747 doesn’t work properly. An hour delay in taking off. A missed connection in Frankfurt and a 4 hours wait in Frankfurt. This is the first time I’ve flown long haul Lufthansa and it will be the last. Whatever happened to German efficiency!!

I ordered the glasses online and then…

I ordered the glasses online and then received that dreaded email that since the glasses were not in stock, they would need to be ordered. I explained that I needed them by a certain date and was assured that the said date was doable. Lo and behold, I received a mail this morning saying that there were delays from the receiver, that they have made a complaint to the supplier, blah blah. To cancel will cost me 10% of the product cost! Not the standard I would have expected

They claim they want to get back to…

They claim they want to get back to being a first class airline! They’ve got a long way to go. I’ve been unfortunate enough to fly with them four times in the last week. On one occasion they couldn’t even print me a valid ticket that allowed me through security and couldn’t be bothered to sort it out until I’d been turned back three times. And then for my Business Class flight to Houston, they bus us out to a carpark and make us wait on an overheated bus for 15 minutes as the plane isn’t ready to load and then when we do get on board, the general standard of their business class was tired, woeful and certainly not a modern business class. We then waited for 45 minutes before leaving our parking slot. Never again. And certainly not worth the £6k ticket price

I have worn diesel jeans for 20 years…

I have worn diesel jeans for 20 years and was in London last week and bought a new pair. When I got them home, I realised they were too big, but I left the UK the next day and travelled to Asia before returning home to Geneva. I asked Diesel if I could exchange the jeans in Geneva (receipts and labels are all available), and it seems that it is not allowed, and I have to return to the UK in order to exchange them! So you have a global brand with global shops, but the only way I can change the jeans is to go back to the UK. Brilliant from a sustainability side! Having worn Diesel for 20 years, I will not not be wearing them again. Not impressed at all, Diesel!!

And this is their email response

The product is fine but the reality is…

The product is fine but the reality is that it is beard dye and one can only use it once, according to your instructions, which makes it very expensive and far too much product. I would recommend finding a way to allow users to use the product more than one.

I purchased the wireless snow tooth…

I purchased the wireless snow tooth whitening kit through Amazon and initially the app worked and the failed. When I asked why, I was told that it was only a Beta system and was not yet fully functional.

Then last week it failed completely and when I provided the serial number, I was told that since I did not buy the unit directly from them, their warranty was not valid!!!

Waited too long for them to deliver the wrong glasses

On the 24th April I bought some Prada glasses and paid a whopping US$54 to get them express delivered to me in Singapore. Six days later I was told by Cool Frames that they had jus processed the order and had to order the glasses in which would take 1-4 business days. They would then send them express to me in Singapore. On the 11th May, I received the glasses, but instead of my Prada, they sent me some Raybans, which, not disrespect to Rayban, are not great looking.

I advised Coolframe of their mistake and they advised me to send them back, for which they would pay up to US$12.00 of the fee and then only when they received the glasses back, would they send mine out.

After my somewhat angry response to this pathetic offer, they agreed to pay the cost of the return but would only send my glasses when they had received the Raybans back.

If it was me managing the business, I would have apologised, advised my client that the correct glasses would be sent immediately and the full cost of the return courier paid upon receipt of the invoice.

Never again!

I know it happens

I know it happens, but the shoes I received were torn and scuffed and when one lives in Singapore and you decide to use a courier service that partners with Singpost, then this is a recipe for disaster as they are not fit for purpose. Three days to get from UK to Singapore, a distance of 6,000 miles and then 8 days to travel the last 15 miles form their depot to my house. Plus, they don't track it so there is no way to know where it is. My son left for a basketball competition in London and no shoes. Not at all impressed

I am very sorry to hear that you have had some issues with your order - I have looked into this and can see that your order was shipped to you via the standard delivery service as chosen at checkout. This service was tracked via Royal Mail and was passed on to Singpost when it arrived in Singapore.

Due to the unfortunate damage to the shoes I can confirm that your order was refunded on 18/03/2019 and that the funds should clear back to the Visa used within the next 10 working days if they have not done so already.
