Ordered a laptop from EasyGoodsUK, a day later I received a message to say the box was damaged and they were legally obliged to tell me it would be delivered in a plain brown box but it was still "brand new sealed", which I could return if I wasn't happy with.
I replied asking how could it be "brand new sealed" if it wasn't in the original packaging. The next day I got a phone call telling me the message was an error and that everything was in order and I got a message to tell me it was on it's way.
The following day I got a message to tell me my order had been refunded. Confused, I asked if it was a mistake and got a reply saying there was "a mix up of SKU and they are refunding everyone". The order status says it was refunded because the box was too damaged.
Waste of time and left me without a laptop for a few days.

I called on a Sunday for a quote and was I was told my job would be classified as "urgent" and would be done on Tuesday, I left it that I would call back to confirm once I checked something. I didn't do that until Monday morning by which time Thursday was the earliest they could do it...ok probably my own fault for not confirming on the same day.
Late on Thursday morning I got a call to say it would be the following week and 'the office' would call to arrange a time. Verbally they said Monday but the email confirmation said Sunday. On Monday I got a call to say they didn't know why the confirmation said Sunday, but that they couldn't do it that day either. So it would be Tuesday.
The job was done on Tuesday, no real issues with the job itself other than finding a panel clip in the car which I assume was missed when putting the door card back together.
So repeated delays and false starts, misinformation in emails and a minor issue with fitting. I only paid my insurance excess but that wasn't massively cheaper than quotes from local suppliers to pay outright.

Review of Autotrader UK
I sold my car on Autotrader. It had been advertised on a free ads website for a few weeks without much interest, I was a bit surprised that it went a week on Autotrader with no calls but then the first person to call bought it. My impression is that people looking on the free ads sites are looking for a steal whereas AutoTrader buyers are a bit more serious. It's not cheap to advertise though, hence 4 stars.

I got their estimate, thought it was good, registered, uploaded photos using the link provided...then never heard anything.
I did get to a page that said "Thanks, we have received your photos...We need to confirm your details before we put your car for sale" Whilst it didn't say I had to call, I did anyway, twice, and on both occasions I got an answering machine that said they were closed despite being within their stated opening hours. Once on a Saturday afternoon, 2nd time on a Monday, granted bank hol in England. I gave up and sold my car elsewhere, a complete waste of time.

I have been trying to withdraw my money since June 2019...19 months and counting. I get a trickle back as loans are closed out but at this rate it will be several years before I get my money back. An alarming amount of my loans are in default and the annualised return rate being displayed on my account home page is nowhere near what was in their literature when I signed up. I would not recommend to anyone.
Why don't funding circle ask investors for reviews??? All of the verified reviews (which have been solicited) are from borrowers.

I decided to withdraw all of my money in June 2019, 14 months later I'm still trying to get my money back. I can't think of any less liquid investment. Take note that virtually all positive reviews are from borrowers.
I had a fairly significant amount invested. Currently says £11k interest with £9k defaults and £1k fees. Would not recommend to anyone.

Good price, reliable service and glad to be using greener energy. But..
The billing seems to be gone to pot - no deductions for about 6 months and then a massive take. I suppose it isn't a bad thing to have my account sitting at several £100's in credit.
Website functionality is going the wrong way (I used to be able to see daily usage on easy to follow graphs), I queried this on the website form, the response came weeks later, was addressed to someone else and didn't answer my question properly.
Direct debit went up when I switched to a cheaper tariff.

Virtually all positive reviews are from borrowers who have been prompted to review and virtually all bad reviews are from investors who haven't been asked to review but have been so disappointed with their experience that they've felt compelled to find somewhere to warn others.
I'm quite sure they have more investors than lenders, so their scoring can't be representative of most customers' experience.
Personally I have been waiting almost 9 months and counting to get my money back. In that time I've only got about £4k of the £16k I lent. Much of what I have lent has been categorised as bad debt. It seems I am not the only one. Yet they have a 4.5 star "excellent" rating...you don't have to be a genius to work out why.
This website would do well to challenge FundingCircle on how they ask "customers" for reviews. I would suggest it's abuse of the platform.

Wish I hadn't. Poor returns. Trying to get my money out for almost 6 months. I wasn't naive and did appreciate there was risk but did expect to do better given the amount I invested (averaging out defaults) and the info about stress testing the loan book etc on the site.
All the positive reviews seem to be from borrowers saying how easy it was to get money (which tells a story) rather than investors who have loaned money.

<<1Mbps when I'm supposed to be getting 35, speaking to numpties in call centres who talk you through procedures you know won't work. 2 hours plus on the phone, they had me disconnecting face plates, told me they would monitor for 48hrs and get back to me...they didn't.
I called again after 4 days, they told me "we are sure splitting the ssid will fix it", it didn't. I called again, more running through checklists, then a lengthy hold and they tell me there is a problem with the infrastructure from OpenReach that will take 3-4 weeks to fix. I don't believe them. Incompetent support. Should have stuck with my old provider.
++++Update++++
4 weeks later ("the problem may take 3-4 weeks to fix") and the speed is still continually pathetic; <5MB for "Superfast" broadband. I didn't mention it before but it's intriguing how when the problem arose they "confirmed" the problem was with the network when about an hour previous they had "confirmed" that there was no problem with the speed to my house so the problem was with the router.
They said someone would be in touch to discuss compensation - they haven't.
Whilst the social media team's disappointment is touching I don't use facebook or twitter so it's no good to me and I suspect they are about as useful as their colleagues on the end of the phone.
I would advise any potential customers reading this to take your business elsewhere. I was sucked in by the chance of having CityFibre FTTP in the near future, I wish I hadn't. The worst phone/broadband/utility/TV company I have ever dealt with.

After over an hour on hold, waiting to get through to their customer care line (online chat said no advisers are available, several times) I gave up and lodged a formal complaint on their website.
Vodafone auto reply: "One of our advisers in the Customer Relations team will be working on your complaint and will respond to you within 48 hours."
5 days later I have had no response whatsoever!

7 days since I made a formal complaint and received the meaningless auto acknowledgement -
No one has responded to my complaint ("One of our advisers in the Customer Relations team will be working on your complaint and will respond to you within 48 hours.")
My complaint has not been resolved ("We'll complete a full investigation and aim to resolve your issue within 5 working days")
In that time they were able to tell me my bill was due both by email and SMS.
According to a speed test I just ran my 35Mbps "Superfast" broadband is currently giving me 0.28Mbps

After almost 3 weeks (48 hours promised - dealing with a lot of cases apparently - I'm not surprised!) someone did call me. To their credit they did refund me all of my bills and allow me to leave at without paying an early cancellation fee.
