Hermes and haemorrhoids …

Day 4 where Hermes have allegedly attempted to deliver my next day delivery item. Amazon states delivery on hold due to external factors!!! Why do Hermes lie? Where’s the calling card if they were at my door? Fuming with them. So much aggravation and frustration trying to get in touch and you go around in circles. Wasting my time and energy. Robots r us. Machinery like “Holly” does not compute and blocks any attempt to ask a question. If it’s not on the list of the inbuilt programming, you’re flogging a dead horse. 6200572167728610 ID. Company should be renamed haemorrhoids.

Shameful service

Standing at my window looking out for my parcel; receive an email, 'parcel delivered securely' to my address! No delivery van, no driver, no delivery to an easy to find address. Shameful.

Very disappointing

Hermes have been an incredible disappointment.

I've used their advertised "Guaranteed 2-3 Working Day" delivery from the UK to Germany which was picked up from my home on the 13th of January.

The ordering and pickup process were actually fine. Two stars for that.

However everything that came after the initial sale and pickup of their service was an unparalleled disappointment. It took Hermes more than 15 days to update the status of the parcel, whilst waiting for them to do so, their customer service was not offering any support because the parcel in question is an "International Delivery" which was handled by Hermes International. All that would be fine, were it not for the fact that there is absolutely no customer support available other than via Chat, which is not easy to find, not easy to get to, and very hardly working as far as end-customer support goes.

The customer service agents were unable to provide me with any information about my parcel, telling me that it would arrive in Germany "around the 5th of Feb". Because their website front end said so. Incredible. I ordered this service because the contents aren't meant to be left out in cold warehouse conditions / weather for too long as the items contained within are delicate. None of the items were perishable, still delicate and expensive either way.

After waiting for an extended period of time and more attempts at contacting customer service, who would tell me that "the parcel is now marked as lost". Just great.

They then asked for details about the parcel, its contents, value, packaging and further information that I'd already provided as part of my detailed ordering process which required me to enter the exact Tariff codes for all items contained within the parcel.

As I was guaranteed feedback about the supposedly lost parcel within 24h, I waited for 30h and made an attempt at contacting them again; no one knew about my inquiry and the "lost parcel". Shortly after I received an update, not from Hermes UK, nor Hermes International, but instead from a third party application about the status of the Parcel.

Hermes International customer service told me that the company was unprepared for the current exit from the EU trade agreements as part of "Brexit" and that many customers are experiencing delays due to Hermes not being able to handle the customs forms appropriately. Astounding.

21 days later my family member has contacted me about a notification of the parcel being delivered by DPD. Not Hermes, DPD. Because of how the gift was valued, as it was made using costly materials and had a lot of work put into it. They now had to pay DPD an additional 30% of the parcels' value for "Taxes, customs, and administrative fees". There is nothing that can be done about those costs but there are many things that Hermes could improve on their end to make this experience less cumbersome, less worrying for me as the sender of the parcel, and cohesive as a whole.

I will sadly not entrust Hermes with my services again. They've lost me as a customer and I cannot recommend them to anyone privately, nor any of the businesses I work with professionally.

Their entire service is built around Sellers and Buyers. You are treated as if you were a business customer, when the service you're using is "sending a gift to a family member".

If you are calling the UK customer service division they are unable to help you due to your delivery being made internationally. The receiving countries Hermes division are unable to handle this request because Hermes will source the end-delivery to another carrier. Despite DPD handling delivery and offering tracking that is accessible by my family member, Hermes UK, Hermes International, and Hermes World are unable to provide further tracking.

If I try to access tracking on Hermes' UK website, the website will not display any tracking information, I have to "debug" their site to get access to the detailed information in order to receive a proper Reference number. The one given to me by pick-up was insufficient for either Hermes customer service.

Hermes UK and Hermes International were ill prepared for the withdrawal of the UK from the EU and the Customs Union, and they still are hardly able to manage the circumstances.

Worse Courier Companies

I have no idea why they have so many different company names, Hermes, MyHermes, HermesWorld, but they are all the same company. I would advise against using any. They lose parcels and then refuse to pay the senders compensation. They need shutting down. They are thieves, aviod them!

WORST delivery company of all time

I want to speak to a human assistant about my experience with Hermes! This delivery company is the worst delivery company of all time!! Your drivers are so rude and unprofessional! Leaving my parcels at the so-called "agreed" safe place which I never agreed!!! My parcels have gone missing and will continue to go missing if they don't bring it up to my flat! I even have a box outside my flat to leave the parcel. It's always the same delivery man who shouted at me over the door bell to say "NO! I WILL NOT COME UP, YOU COME AND GET IT!"
He just buzzed without saying anything and leave my parcels with a pile of recycling paper. This happened more than five times! They don't listen to the client -- There is NO safe place on the ground floor!

Awful service

Awful service, said they have attempted delivery twice which is a lie as this is my work address which is a showroom so always someone here, 7am - 5.30pm
No way of contacting these people

I called six times with the German…

I called six times with the German Branch because they said they could not deliver a package. They say nobody is home, but the receiver is in covid isolation, so home for the last two weeks.They make promises they never keep, they lie in the track and trace log and can't even deliver at a pick up point.

Oh, and nobody in Germany seems to speak any english, they only speak german and 3 out of 6 are just rude on the telephone to people who are trying to speak their stupid language.

NEVER USE THIS DELIVERY SERVICE!!!

Ridiculous

Ridiculous. The sooner retailers stop employing your services the better. My time sensitive has been in your possession for a week. Lost, found. Doesn't even matter because it hasn't moved any further down the line to me. No way to complain or contact. Can't believe it

Courier broke into locked letter box

Courier prised open my locked letter box to leave package inside. Shoved the package in and we could barely get it out. Damaged lock and bent facade. Was sent from hermes uk chat to hermes International to hermes world and still haven't been able to speak to a person or find an email address to complain

Scammers?

Just..... terrible.....
Delivery was "Attempted", while I was home working. Noone rang the doorbell, noone knocked. Still havent received my parcel after the attempted delivery 2 weeks ago. I have no idea where it is. No communication with Hermesworld, shipper doesnt have any answers either.
Where the f is my package.

This has got to be the worst delivery service ever!

This has got to be the worst delivery service I have ever experienced. I have been waiting for a package from the UK for month constantly tracking it and so on and today I just notice that it has been "returned to client" although I haven't received any call/email and there would be no way I could miss it as I am home all day due to lockdown.
Horrible service! Never ordering from a website that uses them as a carrier again!!

This is a nightmare company.i can't…

This is a nightmare company.i can't believe that this model of delivery company was allowed in the first place.
Nobody to talk to, really fully running on scam.
Lost my parcel in delivery and won't pay any compensation. I wish I had read reviews before using this scam company.

utterly poo company

utterly poo company , i would not trust them with a bag of poo, drivers are all on the steal , no real person to person contact, send your parcel ect via pigeon as you have better chance of receiving it , you would be a fool to trust this company , had to say poo but really mean s##t

fxxk you hermes

The package was left unattended for a week and handed over to DHL with Twitter replies and emails ignored.
It's too stupid to take a week just to get it to DHL.
Any company that has made such a fool of its customers should go out of business.

One star is too much

One star is too much. Sick to death of getting those stupid no-one was available to receive the parcel notifications. You didn’t even attempt to deliver it as it’s an office manned by 10 plus people. Waste of space.
