Absolute joke of a company. Ment assist with a third party claim on behalf of my insurance company. Heard nothing for nearly 1 ½ years and it turns out the claim was closed over a year ago.. trying to find out the outcome bit they wont tell you. So I'm paying a premium for insurance because this crowd won't tell me the outcome. If the other admitted it was their fault

My parents had to cancel their holiday the night before they were due to travel because of a medical issue.
Initially, the system seems difficult to use, however although it is just a webpage, it does save the information each time you log out.
The call centre staff were very helpful, came back on our emails fast and were informative. What the policy doesn’t tell you: If you have booked a holiday as a couple, and can not travel, you get charged the excess twice.

I’m extremely disappointed with how my bicycle theft claim was handled. My two bikes (insured for a total of £3,400) were stolen from a secure gated area at my residence, where they were locked with approved ABUS Bordo locks to a fixed object — exactly as required by the policy.
I immediately filed a police report, submitted photos showing forced entry and broken locks, and provided all requested documents, including proof of purchase and serial numbers. Despite following every condition in the policy and even confirming storage arrangements over the phone with their agent when I took out the policy, my claim was unfairly rejected.
To make matters worse, the rejection letter didn’t cite any policy clause or give a coherent reason for denial — just a blanket refusal. This is completely unacceptable, especially given the FCA’s “Treating Customers Fairly” principles, which require insurers to act transparently and reasonably.
In my experience, Ripe/Aviva’s behaviour has been opaque, dismissive, and inconsistent with the policy wording and their own representations.
If you value peace of mind, avoid this insurer. Their policies seem solid until you actually need them — then they’ll find a way not to pay out.

Two Months of Silence — Causing Real Harm
My friend’s theft claim, has been unnecessarily delayed for almost 2 months!!!
She has submitted all requested documents multiple times, yet receives only automated responses. The stress has caused her to break down in tears more than once — I’m not willing to see that continue.
Please assign a real person to this case and provide a proper written update within 3 working days. If not, I will escalate this to your complaints team and the Financial Ombudsman on her behalf!!

Prior to making contact with Kat, the whole process had been extremely frustrating.
I was managing the claim on behalf of an extremely sick friend and the lack of empathy and poor communication in the first stages of the claim was very disappointing .
Once we engaged with Kat, she carried us through the process to conclusion. She has been an absolute star. Her professionalism, kindness and efficiency has been exemplary.

My wife & myself recently returned from our holiday,unfortunetly I was taken ill at the airport in Tenerife on our return flight ,the insurance company Staysure were absolutely awful in communication,but thankfully Davies took over our claim when we arrived back home and a wonderful person who dealt with our claim was so helpful & showed far more concern we would like to give him a mention Gary Braiden I believe his name was,if all the staff were as helpful as he was.the company should be highly reconnended.Thank You.
