Terrible timeline delivery!

Terrible online services, the website is disappoint it and don’t work properly, but the worst is the delivery time. How on earth in the UK where post office is next day delivery and Amazon is same day delivery one company can take more then 3 days just to have the order leave the warehouse and after 3 days the order remains at the warehouse 😂 Let’s not say that we are talking about a world renowned company what makes unacceptable to take about week or longer to have something delivered in the UK or even in Europe for that matter.
First and last time to buy Mac online and if they don’t change will be me to change brand all together!

MAC Makeup Masterclass and…

I attended the MAC Makeup Masterclass and was extremely disappointed. For £25, I expected an interactive session where we could learn hands-on techniques, receive personalized tips, or at least get to try products ourselves. Instead, it was just one hour of watching a makeup artist apply makeup on a model while about eight of us sat and observed.

There was no engagement, no opportunity to practice, and nothing that made it worth the price—something similar could easily be watched on YouTube for free. I stayed only out of politeness, but I left feeling like my time and money were wasted.

I hope MAC rethinks the format of these events, as this was far below expectations.

I noticed that the makeup artists were told not to talk about other brands, which is something I’ve heard is common in the beauty industry. While I understand brands want to promote their own products, it felt restrictive and made the experience less genuine. As a customer, I appreciate honest advice and knowing about all my options, even if that includes products from other brands. This policy made the interaction feel more like a sales pitch than a personalized consultation.

AMI from Morleys Brixton Mac counter is a sweetheart!!! Very friendly & knowledgeable about Mac products and her craft. Ended up spending more on extra products as she spent time to explain & show me how the products I was interested in, worked for me. Fantastic customer service, really appreciated her tips, advice & patience! Walked away we more confidence with regards to using make-up. THANKS AMI. appreciate you! 😊

Fantastic friendly service

I went to the Cambridge John Lewis store and the service I received from Libby was first class.I was there for a 60 minute makeover for a nice summery look and Libby perfectly matched the eyeshadow with my t-shirt and the blusher was just WOW. A totally unhurried and professional service and a perfect end result. I can honestly recommend this store for fantastic service and look forward to a return visit soon.

Disappointed Long-Time Customer – What Happened, MAC

I’ve been a loyal MAC customer for years, but I’m officially done. The new MAC Pro Brow Definer is absolutely terrible. I use a brow pencil every single day, and this one didn’t even last me a week. For the price, it’s completely not worth it. The pencil lead is weak, snaps far too easily, and feels like it was designed to break.

I prefer the original version before they replaced it with this inferior product. Why fix something that wasn’t broken?

On top of that, MAC has discontinued the Studio Fix Concealer, another go-to makeup item I relied on. It’s like they’re phasing out everything that made them great in the first place.

What used to be my favourite makeup brand has now become one I actively avoid. Sad to say it, but MAC is no longer worth my time or money.

WHY?!

MAC discontinue so many great products and colours it’s so disappointing. The recent relaunch of Studio Fix Powder Plus is the final straw for me. 20 plus years I have been using this product and they new version is sub standard in comparison. I wish MAC would listen to their customers and not give in to new launch ideas. I’ve switched so many times to other products now with their changes I literally only use 2 of their products… I used to use 9!

I visited the MAC shop in Brighton on Sunday with my niece. Cara gave her a great make up lesson and the overall experience was brilliant. We’ve never done anything like that before so would recommend to others.

You have lost me as a customer of over thirty years with this disgusting stunt clearly done to appease the fact gen z are obsessed with matte lipsticks. They literally killed off the best lipstick shade ever. No heads up so those of us that have only ever used that shade for our entire lives didn’t even get a heads up from Mac to be able to bulk buy before they stopped stocking it 🤦🏼‍♀️ sack whichever person you hired who made this horrific decision because you CLEARLY didn’t consult the customers who pay your wages and buy the product. Disgusted.

Chosen day Delivery and disgusting customer service

Took the money and paid for the chosen day delivery but nothing. Despite endless amount of call got an email from customer care after 2 weeks to say the order has been cancelled and they will issue a refund. Refund received but the order was £180 and a birthday present for the partner. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Brilliant Experience in Covent Garden branch

Natalia, in the Covent Garden MAC branch delivered amazing customer service! She took the time to understand my skin, recommended me the right foundation formula and shade, and then redone my makeup really beautifully. She is an asset to the MAC team!

Horrible experience at Mac Cosmetics, London Bridge.

Yesterday I popped into the Mac shop in London Bridge located in the tube station. I live in the Cotswolds and was in London to do a spot of Christmas shopping. So I thought I would stock up on some old favourites and some new things too.

However, my plans for a blissful afternoon of retail therapy was derailed by a surly, miserable woman of indian race in her 30's. It seemed to me, that she thought that I looked a bit too happy for her liking.
So she wasted no time being as nasty as possible to me, almost immediately. Her attitude let me know that she really disliked her job, because a person who enjoyed their job would never have behaved the way she did.

My attitude was "Well, that's HER problem!" And I ignored her and continued to browse the products on offer. When she was in proximity again. I showed her a mac lipstick that I had brought with me, and asked if she had that colour in a lipgloss format.

She reached out to take the lipstick from me, but I didn't allow her to touch it as I don't allow strangers to touch my personal toiletries. She frowned, and then said in a vicious tone of voice "I can't see the colour!"

Even though I had swatched the colour on my hand, vibrantly enough so she could very clearly see the colour. She just continued to give me bad attitude, and finally I had enough. So when she returned with the lipgloss, and again began to address me with nastiness.

I calmly said to her "I don't like your attitude, and I'm gone!" And with that I walked right out of the shop, and took my custom to Space NK instead.
And I was so glad that I did! As I had a lovely afternoon treating myself to all sorts of lovely skincare and makeup. The best part? Not having to deal with with any sour faced assistants trying to spoil my day.
The staff at Space NK were absolutely lovely! And it's one of the reasons why I love going there so much.
Mac cosmetics, take note on how the best retailers, do customer service.

So basically I will never step foot in a Mac shop again, I have heard the stories of how SOME of the staff treat customers. But I thought it was a thing of the past. How sad to see that the tale is true, and is still very much alive and well in 2023 almost 2024.

Space NK and all the other retailers, who value their customers, and show it in their outstanding customer service, will be the only retailers who will have my money.
I let my 3.5 million followers on social media know that customers must ALWAYS vote with their wallets, whenever they encounter bad service. As it sends a strong message and a reminder to the offending business..that without us the consumers, you are NOTHING!

Absolute horrid customer service

Absolute terrible customer service,
I placed an order and needed to cancel due to incorrect shipping address.
Called customer service and was told to call back in 45 mins 3 times due to order not yet on the system. On the 4th time is was still not on the system and the advisor said she’ll keep an eye out and cancel it and that id get a cancellation email. The next day after still no cancellation email I tried the WhatsApp customer service route and 2 days later I’m still waiting for an advisor to get in touch.
However i received a email saying my order had been shipped.
So looks like I won’t get my product or my money back.

Horrible customer serve from mac!

Doubled in Price - Time to Change

I love MAC. I have used their products for over 20 years. I was shocked when I went to order my usual eyebrow styler and in a matter of six months, it has gone from £9.25 to £20.00!! £20.00 for an eyebrow pencil!! I cannot believe it has over DOUBLED in price in six months along with other products. What a shame..... regrettably time to change to another brand.

Amazing customer service

I ordered some essentials for my friend's birthday and had a really smooth shopping experience.

Dispatch was very quick (1 day) and their free/standard delivery service option is fully tracked.

Unfortunately, I had some issues with the delivery and had to get in touch with their support. My experience with their customer service (Live Chat) was fantastic, they were apologetic and understanding. They made a difficult experience into a good one and I will be using them again in the future :)

Shocking cancellation and returns policy

I normally absolutely love Mac and have been a loyal customer for years ams until recently I have never had to go through the experience of returning anything I’ve purchased. Unfortunately this is where Mac really has let themselves down in my opinion. What a hassle it is to return anything!
I will hold my hands up and say the reason I had to return items was due to my fault of ordering the wrong shades however I realised this straight away and contacted Mac to try amend or cancel my order. They told me that due to confidentiality agreements they can no longer amend or cancel an order after it is made. They advised me to reorder the correct shades then return the incorrect items FREE of charge once I received them. Once my parcel arrived I realised they do not include a receipt, returns form or even a returns label in their parcels so after googling for to return items I’m shocked to see that I need to download and print their returns form, head to my nearest yodel shop and pay for the return.
1) I do not understand why I was not able to cancel my order “due to confidentiality reasons” when their website states you can cancel an order.
2) since when has it got so complicated to return an item to a well known retail business?
3) why tell customers returning items is “easy, straight forward and free of charge” when we need to download and print our own label and returns form then charge us?
