I placed an order over a week ago as a gift and was emailed it will take 3-5 working days. But it’s been over a week and I approached the MAC team via WhatsApp who have been so unhelpful and don’t know what the status of the order is. After being a customer of MAC for over 10 years I won’t be purchasing from them ever again. There’s plenty of other quality make up brands out there which do offer great service and quality

Their pigment in shade melon is amazing such beautiful colour. The smarty pants palette was my first palette by this brand and I was not disappointed. I have three lipsticks yash whirl and velvet teddy and all colours are so pigmented and so beautiful for a day to day makeup look I would definitely buy again.
Straightforward experience and good products .
I ordered quite a few items and got a 10% discount and a free lipstick . Delivery was in reasonable time , arrived well packed with free samples included.
Judging by some other reviews , my experience has been very good.
Item missing, no refund given
Placed an order online on the 31/05/20. When it arrived one of my items was missing. I've emailed Mac twice requesting refunds and both times have been lied to and told it's being processed and will take up to 2 weeks. Still no refund given after over a month. I got the generic response of them having a 50% reduction in staff due to Covid which is slowing things down. When I queried what staff reduction in a distribution centre has to do with a PayPal refund I obviously got no response. Had to open a case through PayPal to get my money back. I've bought from Mac a lot over the years but this incident and the lack of customer service has completely put me off.
Go to foundation
Purchased the studio fix fluid spf 15 foundation and have not been left disappointed. What an amazing product! Great coverage, lovely smooth texture, and a perfect match to my skin tone. Smells wonderful too. Beautiful edition to my makeup collection. This foundation has very quickly become my 'go to'. Totally in love. Thank you, Mac

Mascara with not product
Mascara with not product. Will not require the product to be sent back but wants a photo of product by email. Email provided to me, gave automated response to say they will not be check or responded to. Now I most waste more of my time waiting for a customer service advisor to answer the phone. I’m very disappointed in my first experience shopping with Mac. Likely to be my last time.
Wrong items!!!
I’ve made two orders now and in both orders I’ve received the incorrect item. I’ve been sat waiting on live chat for a total of 5 hours across 2 days and I’ve still had one response. Customer service is shocking.
What a horrible experience
What a horrible experience. I was asked by a relative to order a gift from this site. I tried registering but did not plan on buying anything else from them, so I opted out of future marketing. MAC would not let me register without agreeing to marketing, which I am sure is illegal.
Eventually I registered with marketing. Immediately, I received a spammy newsletter from them, but no password, so I could still not log in. It was not in my spam folder either. One option was to log in through my Facebook account but to do that, they wanted access to my photos etc, which they clearly do not need and I did not want them sending out adverts to everyone on my friends list. How desperate must these people be to want to send out spam so much?
Eventually, after the password never came through, I found out that you could purchase as a guest. I tried that, but because I could not sign in, I had to forfeit my 10% welcome discount.
When I attempted to place the order, I then had further issues with it not recognising my address despite the post code and house number being correct. It only gave me the option to send to houses across the road.
After finally getting it through using trial or error, I paid without the discount, and was then greeted with a page telling me that next time, I should register and get a 10% discount!
Hopefully there wont ever be a next time. I shouldn't need to waste 45 minutes trying to give someone my business.

Didn’t receive free lipstick
No complaint with their products. However, I am not happy with my Black Friday purchase online. It was exactly on a Black Friday when I bought my items and I am supposed to receive a free lipstick. I didn’t complain since it’s a free item but they need to make sure they add the free item next time, after all, I was tempted to buy because of that.

Just awful!
I made rather a large, expensive order on Monday and my items still haven’t been dispatched even though payment has been taken. I’m really angry because when I asked customer service in a online chat yesterday they said it would be dispatched yesterday but it wasn’t! So I rang this morning and now they are saying it will be dispatched tonight! Terrible service! Quick to take your money but not fast in delivering your products!

Dreadful customer service. Been waiting for a refund for 3 months now. Daily checks to bank to find I’m disappointed it’s not there. Another email to Mac only to be told wait 7 days.....

IRRITATING , FAKE, INCOMPETENT customer service advisors !!!!
I placed an order online through paypal on the 18th June 2018 (status pending) I called mac customer services online and they asked for my details such as address, transaction id and invoice id all which I had given and I was told that someone would email me within two working days. I received an email the next day asking me to provide the same details. I replied back (to a different customer service representative) stating that I have already sent a screen shot to of my order id and my transaction id. Another different customer service member told me to provide the details of the order I used via paypal again! It is a joke ..! Rubbish as if to say that they are dealing with me for the first time! They act really nice in the emails, but they are taking the mickey and keep repeating the same things and at the end of the emails put things such as "have a nice day" " kind regards" etc. I am really annoyed.. don't be fooled by the customer service members SILLY NAMES AND INCOMPETENCE.

While the products are great the customer service is absolutely appalling. I've a PRO account and have been locked out for over a week now; countless calls and emails to customer support and they keep coming back with the same thing. Eventually today they've said it will take 7 working days to figure out why I can't log in. Emails go unanswered and web chat are useless. The website is glitchy as hell and keeps getting stuck in a loop and despite sending screen shots of the issue, you get no help and simply told to try and log in again. Honestly, stick to buying in store because their website is truly awful I won't be using it again.
The most gorgeous lipsticks + best customer service
It's a bit pricey, but they do have the best lipsticks and the best customer service ever! I've ordered a super different colour in mid-November - it was a dark grey, matte - and as it arrived, I've tried it on and hated it. Couldn't have gone worse with my skin and style. Even though I thought I wouldn't be able to return it, I called them and explained the situation - to which the customer support lady said they have a "love it or return it" policy, even when you've tried it. She sent me the return label (free) and it all worked out perfectly. And that is (the second reason) why I love M.A.C.!!!
