Persistent contact when you decide to leave at the end of your policy

It is now January 13th and I am still getting reminders about renewing my policy. Now they are going straight to my junk inbox. They are probably still sending texts but as I have blocked them I no longer see them.
So I have deleted my long review because I appreciate it was probably too long and that would mean the message I am trying to present is lost.
So only buy a policy if you are prepared to keep getting reminders months after you decided to buy a cheaper policy with another company. Make sure if you do not renew with them to cancel your direct debit as soon as possible because it seems each reminder is sent because a failed attempt has been made by 24/7 to take payment.
They are now taking the piss! I will never consider using them again because they do not seem to understand that people shop around and buy cheaper when they can especially considering there is no difference in cover.
They have no intention of looking at this practise because they are still sending the reminders.
My initial review was 3 stars because when I was covered by them I had no issues.
Avoid avoid avoid!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good customer support

I purchased an MS Office 2021 key because my previous version of office (key bought elsewhere) had stopped working after a Windows 11 update (24H2). It had worked since 2020 but with the issue created I decided to buy a newer version than I had.
The purchase went smoothly and I received my key very quickly. However I discovered the issue created by the Windows update was not rectified by a newer product but customer support guided me through how to sort the issue in very quick time. It seems the issue created by Windows is highlighted on microsoft's support pages. I had to edit regedit and I was guided to how to do this by customer support. So I now have a working key/product which so far I am happy with.

Cashback not being honoured by HMV

The products purchased were fine and I had no issues. This was as expected.

The reason for 3 stars is I used topcashback and even though the transaction was remembered on topcashbacks website I had to raise an issue when it was not logged. When the issue was raised and sent to HMV today I was told the transaction was not recognised as me using topcashback. As mentioned the day and time of the transaction were stored when I raised the issue so to say this calls into question that HMV at the moment may be looking at excuses not to pay cashback. So when the prices of what I purchased are pretty much the same across all retailers be weary if getting cashback is your deciding factor. This is the first time this has happened and although this amounts to £1.08 it is a point of principle I am raising this. Disappointing because what I ordered was good and so was the delivery time.

In response to HMV response, I did take this up with topcashback before posting my review and they placed the issue on yourselves. Also when responding to reviews please check the name of who you are responding to. I have no idea who Scott is and this lack of attention to detail highlights excecptionally poor customer service so I have amended my score to 2.

Missing disc issues dealt with well.

Sometimes it is better to leave a review when things do not go to plan. I ordered 2 movies part of the 2 for £16 offer and only one arrived. I bought this to the attention of customer services and I was asked too wait a little longer and then contact again if still nothing turned up. I waited and there was still no sign of the missing movie. Upon recontacting customer services a replacement was sent out 24 hours later.
My review is positive because I liked the way my issue was dealt with. The issue appeared to be created by the courier losing the movie in the first instance. Things do get lost in the post and that being considered I was happy to be listened to with appropriate action taken to resolve the issue. Like a few others have mentioned delivery times could be a little quicker but I suppose that is a way of keeping costs down and passing those savings to customers. The 2 for £16 offer is a very good one in my opinion.

Had to get refund through paypal after WOB ignored me

I have no idea what has happened to WOB. I have placed many orders in the past and had no issues. The process of ordering was good and the items always sent quickly. Then there was my latest order!

I ordered three DVD's making use of the offer of three items and getting a 30% discount. All items were supposedly in stock and I received an order confirmation shortly after placing my order. Usually within a day or two the items are on their way but this time something was different. On the second day I sent a polite email because I had just received another order and I wanted to make sure that this order had not messed up their systems by confusing my second order. To confirm the orders contained different items. I was told shortly after 'good news my latest order was on its way'. This put my mind at rest. However when I got confirmation of what was being sent only one of the DVD's was included. I thought nothing of this because the other two I assumed would be sent later. A few days went by and I still had heard nothing about the other two so I chased the status politely of the missing DVD's and this is when WOB have gone silent. So after my polite email was ignored I sent a follow up wanting to know the status of the order or a resolution (in case the DVD's were not in stock). I also said in that email should I get no outcome I would start to leave reviews to highlight the issue I had encountered. I got no response so here I am writing this review. For verification purposes I have kept a copy of these emails which highlighy everything I have stated here. To summarise I ordered three DVD's and only received one and WOB seem disinterested in sending me the other two. They did take my money however for all three.

I did check the stock status of my order and one of the DVD's is no longer listed but the other movie has more than 20. I suspect this is what caused the problem but because WOB have ignored my attempts to find out what is happening I cannot be sure. Still I fail to understand if they have multiple copies of one of the DVD's why this has not been sent to me?

Like many people when you are ignored this leads to frustration. I used paypal to pay for my order so I have had to raise a claim with them to get a refund on the items not received. I have informed WOB about this and also that I have now ordered the DVD's elsewhere. I would strongly recommend anyone buying from WOB use paypal so they too can raise a refund should they encounter a similar issue. Personally the way I have been ignored by WOB means I will not be placing another order which is a shame because like I said in my opening paragraph, I have used WOB multiple times in the past with no problems.

My additional comments are in light of the copy and paste response by WOB. My review details my experience therefore it goes to show that the response shows no evidence my review has been read. I have better things to do with my time to keep sending emails about an issue WOB ignored when I tried this. I was clear in my messages before leaving my review here and I also stated I would not appreciate a lame excuse and I class a copy and paste response in this category. I gave WOB ample opportunity to resolve my issue (all evidenced in email) and it seems you thought ignoring these would make me go away.

Buying a used car was made to feel simple and trouble free. Matthew made himself available to answer any queries and guided me through the cay buying process. I was also not given the hard sell on the optional add ons (which I did not want or get). When I arrived to pick up the car, the meet and greet lady (sorry I did not get her name) made me feel very welcome.
The car was outside ready and waiting when I arrived so this meant the transaction went by quickly and smoothly.
It is still early days as I only bought the car on the 15th June but so far so good so I can only base this review on that. Hopefully things continue well and my experience remains positive. I am the sort of person who likes to give more time before posting something, so if my experience does change I would look to either amend this review or leave another more reflective review based on a future experience with my purchase.

Good experience today

Had two tyres fitted and was pleased of the explanation regarding how the tyres to be replaced were not strictly necessary. This was refreshing in that it showed a much more customer focussed approach which is nice to see.
Prices are always locally competitive.

Excellent Promotion

Bought a P3 SSD 1tb drive during a promotion making the price very appealing. Not only this but the support pages directing me to the Acronis cloning software meant I had increased the speed of my PC in less than 30 minutes. I was happy how simple this was because I am no expert.

Same bad experiences as many others
Placed on order and based on estimated delivery times was confident it would arrive by the time I needed it.
After waiting until the day before the last estimated delivery date I chased my order because I had heard nothing.
As the order was a gift with my email contact I stated that had the order not been sent for the order to be cancelled and my money refunded.
Conveniently I was told my order was on its way and shortly after the order status changed. I had ordered two movies however and only one had apparently been sent.
In doing so Dodax ignored my request to cancel before the shipment had been posted and only have seemingly posted half the order.
As I type I am still waiting for a delivery of anything. I needed the products by yesterday at the latest (and the estimated delivery latest was May 4th). Effectively because both movies were a birthday gift I have had to buy a gift I should not have had to and still not received anything.
When nothing arrived Saturday I have sent another email explaining how poor the service is and have requested yet another refund because I have not received any goods. The second movie with regards order status is still only in progress and I have been told by Doda it is on its way separately. This would indicate the IT systems are either faulty or the movie has not been posted?
I find when you have to chase a company that is not good. I also appreciate that things sometimes do not go to plan. It is at that point a good customer service team keep you informed and give you other options, they should not offer excuses. Ordering online a lot I also find it good practise that a company should only take your payment when they despatch the product you have ordered. It seems that although Dodax are slow to send things they are very quick to take your money.
Also be a little wary, they also sell on Amazon. I should have learned my lesson after placing an order through Amazon with Dodax. That movie did arrive but my did it take an awfully long time to come.
This is a real shame because if they got their act together they have some decent products on their web site, its just a pity the battle is seems to be to actually receive them!

Beware your promo code may not be…

Beware your promo code may not be honoured.
For those thinking you may have been lucky enough to receive a promo code beware for a number of reasons.
On my last order I attempted to use a 50% off code and when I tried to use it is said it had been applied. The actual amount of my order had not changed however. As I was worried before completing my transaction I checked the online support pages by uber eats. When you read the payment section the advice on offer is to wait for your order to arrive before bringing this to uber eats attention. To me this meant that perhaps the price remaining the same and the applied discount would be applied at that point.
To make sure I applied the promo code again and it refused because I had already applied the code. This re-assured me the code had been accepted on my first attempt.
Therefore I placed my order thinking the system would amend itself later and the promo would be applied.
Then I checked my paypal account and notifications. The amounts taken from this account were for the full amount with no promo applied.
At this point I contacted uber eats support (I do this online to create a paper trail) and pointed out the promo code I had only been sent the day before had not worked. I was hoping this would be sorted but instead the explanation was the restaurant did not accept the promo code. At no point during the transaction did the uber eats site say the promo was invalid (apart from the second attempt which stated it had already been applied).
When you consider that you do not get a warning the code does not apply and uber eats own automated advice infers that the amounts can vary from transaction to delivery be very careful.
I found myself expecting a cheap meal last night and a response today from uber eats support which quite frankly was patronising. This was followed by yet another email with yet another promo code!
I have deleted my account and attempted to unsubscribe from uber eats emails.
My advice is order direct from the restaurant. You may not get a promo code which may or may not work but you will avoid the fee you pay uber eats and be guaranteed to save money on every transaction by doing that.
