Very happy with my shutters

Very happy with my shutters. I did find the measuring guides a bit tricky (due to lots of options and different types of windows - not a failing from the Shutter Store). The blinds fit perfectly and look great.

Signed up for 500mbps contract - got <100mbps

Signed up for 500mbps contract. Got less than 100mbps (upload/download). Ethernet wired test. Lit Fibre were not able to improve the speed. Not impressed.

Terrible service quality

Terrible service quality. Delivering a £5 light bulb. Wouldn't leave it at the property. Wouldn't allow for arranging redelivery after failed delivery. As advertised I attempt to arrange redelivery on the website after the first miss and I got a message 'not eligible'. Service desk unhelpful 'computer says no' 'not us we just deliver on APCs behalf' and no we will not do another delivery. Need to do better.

Illegible tracking number (again)

Once again, I am unable to rearrange delivery for my parcel because the tracking number on the delivery note is illegible. Parcelforce left two delivery tickets (as they did last time), and neither tracking number is readable. This isn’t the first time this has happened. Are they doing this intentionally to avoid redelivery? This issue relates to the Aberdeen, UK branch.

Rented a car from Aberdeen Airport in…

Rented a car from Aberdeen Airport in July. When I returned the car I forgot I had left my residental parking permit stuck on the windscreen. I called up the next morning (less than 12 hours afterwards) and Enterprise advised that it was not in the car. I asked if they could speak to the person who serviced it in case they threw it out. The lady i spoke to had little interest in following up and said she couldnt do anything about this. I raised a complaint and was informed a manager would call me... major suprise, no-one called. Clearly it was my fault leaving the permit in the car, but please treat your clients better than that.

Review of Plumber Heat

No-show from plumber. Booked well in advance.

Scheduled a plumber to come visit to do several jobs (c. £400 estimate, i.e. not a tiny job). Provided a full brief of the job and agreed time for visit. I made plans to be in the house at the agreed time. Plumber was a no show. On calling up, I was informed they had been busy. I am not impressed as they didn't take the time to call me to reschedule. Not very professional.

Excellent buying experience overall. 2nd time buying with Aberdein Considine, so i knew what to expect. The Solicitor was brilliant during the offer stage, keeping me informed as the process progressed. Also the financial adviser and paralegal team were also excellent.

I selected a specific date for delivery…

I selected a specific date for delivery on the website during ordering. Shortsshoes.com ignored this and sent out the shoes straight away while i was on holiday. Shoes where then returned to sender. Still trying to resolve this with Shortsshoes.com.

Poor deals offered to existing customers!!! Profit over loyalty for Shell.

I was an existing customer and was moving address, Shell Broadband offered me a new contract for superfast broadband (in Sept). I took the offer as at the time I felt it seemed like a reasonable deal, less than 5 months later on a third party website Shell Energy was offering the same contract 47% cheaper for new customers. I contacted their customer service to complain about this and indicate I was unhappy about their pricing for existing customers and the feedback I got was that if I didnt like it I shouldnt have taken the offer. Insult to injury the early termination fee, is pretty much just the value of the remaining contract, so i am locked in.

Well done Shell. One unhappy customer here. I will leave you ASAP.

You would think they have worked out…

You would think they have worked out the bugs by now. In the shopping cart, it collates cards to a single address, regardless of the fact they are for different people and you are trying to set different dates. Also in the shopping cart, it wont save my delivery dates and keeps resetting to posting now. Sort this out Moonpig!!!!

Moonpig chat on the website were too slow. They say it is less than 3mins, but it is not, I gave up waiting after 15mins. I moved to Funky Pigeon and ordered my cards there. I have been a Moonpig customer for ages (>10yrs), no longer. My (small amount of business) is gone.

Have used for years, will keep using, but these aspects are really annoying!

I have been using ii for a number of years. I will stick with them as overall I am happy with their fees, security and reputation, but there are a couple of areas I find frustrating or sub standard. Firstly I often would like to log in at the weekend as I am very busy during the week, but ii.co.uk is often down for maintenance at the weekend. This is way worse than any other electronic application I use (bar none) in terms of noticeable downtime. I get it, they need to do maintenance, but surely there are more sophisticated ways to work offline on test servers etc to minimise downtime. Everyone else seems to manage a lot better. Also another area ii.co.uk is poor is in its research / news area. It just feels old, 'database(y)', dull and lacking depth. I need to supplement with Yahoo finance, Seeking Alpha etc. Maybe I am expecting too much, but I believe other brokerages like Interactive Brokers do a much better job as far as I am aware.
