Poor deals offered to existing customers!!! Profit over loyalty for Shell.
I was an existing customer and was moving address, Shell Broadband offered me a new contract for superfast broadband (in Sept). I took the offer as at the time I felt it seemed like a reasonable deal, less than 5 months later on a third party website Shell Energy was offering the same contract 47% cheaper for new customers. I contacted their customer service to complain about this and indicate I was unhappy about their pricing for existing customers and the feedback I got was that if I didnt like it I shouldnt have taken the offer. Insult to injury the early termination fee, is pretty much just the value of the remaining contract, so i am locked in.
Well done Shell. One unhappy customer here. I will leave you ASAP.
