Review of interactive investor

Have used for years, will keep using, but these aspects are really annoying!

I have been using ii for a number of years. I will stick with them as overall I am happy with their fees, security and reputation, but there are a couple of areas I find frustrating or sub standard. Firstly I often would like to log in at the weekend as I am very busy during the week, but ii.co.uk is often down for maintenance at the weekend. This is way worse than any other electronic application I use (bar none) in terms of noticeable downtime. I get it, they need to do maintenance, but surely there are more sophisticated ways to work offline on test servers etc to minimise downtime. Everyone else seems to manage a lot better. Also another area ii.co.uk is poor is in its research / news area. It just feels old, 'database(y)', dull and lacking depth. I need to supplement with Yahoo finance, Seeking Alpha etc. Maybe I am expecting too much, but I believe other brokerages like Interactive Brokers do a much better job as far as I am aware.
