Why don’t you assemble?

Absolutely love the chairs but manufacturers need to be assembling the whole chair bar the legs. To assemble it completely is just pure laziness from the manufacturer and puts me off from buying more

Thank you for your review, i am sorry to read about your disappointment in having to assemble the chairs.
You did purchase about the only chair we sell, which does need full assembly.
It is clearly stated on the listing that the chairs require assembly. The reason it arrives disassembled is so that it can fit in a smaller box, which saves on shipping cost, so that we can retail the chair at such a low price.

I will sue to get my money back

They charged me a lot of money (which I don’t have as I’m a single parent) to then tell me they can’t find the person I was looking for. They assumed things as it was a person from a dating site and therefore just didn’t bother to look for them properly. Not everyone is a catfish or a scammer on these sites. I will find that person myself and then sue them. I have sued a well known American jewellery store and will sue this investigative agency as well. I will get the proof that will show how little effort they put into it. They also don’t know the law. Any vet can confirm if they have/ haven’t treated a dog, but are not allowed to disclose information about the owner. The agency told me something different which is false. They just took the money and did the absolute minimum. They didn’t even bother to look in Canary Wharf for a billing accountant. Don’t bother hiring them as they will let you down

UPDATE: in response to their response, here is information from the dating website: ‘photo verified means that a user has proven they are a real person and their profile photos are accurate’. There are 10k Croatians in the whole of the UK so finding 1 should be doable in a postcode.

From the outset, we explained that the individual you were speaking to online may not be genuine. Sadly, false details and fake profiles are very common on dating sites.

To say we “didn’t bother to look” is simply not true. We produced a full 16-page report for you, setting out every search carried out, the methodology used, and the reasons for each finding. This shows step-by-step the level of work and analysis that went into the case.

The information you provided was limited to screenshots from a dating profile, a first name, an age, and a location. With that, we:
• Searched every individual with that name within a three-year age range.
• When no match was found, expanded the search to the whole of London.
• Reviewed hundreds of names and ruled them out through visual confirmation.

The reason this person cannot be found is because the details were false. The sudden stop in contact is consistent with dating platforms closing scam accounts without warning.

We also want to be clear that contacting vets for information is not a legitimate or lawful method of investigation. That was your suggestion, not something we agreed to or carried out.

We went above and beyond on this case. The outcome is not due to a lack of effort on our part, but because the person you were speaking to was not who they claimed to be.

Rubbish packaging

I bought 3 filters and it was a miracle that I actually received 3 as the box was open. They only put duck tape on one side of the box which is ridiculous. Duck tape should be on all sides as the delivery drivers treat the boxes like rubbish, so they need to be well packed.

AVOID NEXT AT ALL COST

Returned 5 items to my local store. Received an email a few days later stating that 3 of them were in the process of being refunded. No mention of the other 2 items. I now have to send dozens of emails to customer service, desperately trying to get the rest of my money back. I’ve literally never seen this before.

Follow up: I have emailed Next a copy of my bank statement clearly showing that only 3 out of the 5 refunds came through. I also emailed them the email confirmation that I returned 5 items. Plus I emailed them the email confirmation from NeXT that shows that 3 refunds have been actioned and not 5. I cannot possibly show them any more proof that I’m missing 2 refunds. They have stupidly told me that I can track the refunds with the ARN number, but they have emailed me the numbers of the 3 refunds I received. Funny how they don’t mention the ARN numbers of the 2 refunds I didn’t get. Will get Lloyds Bank and the Consumer Protection Bureau involved if by next Wednesday I don’t have my refunds.

Lloyds bank app is ridiculous

Universal credit are wanting 4 months worth of bank statements from my savings account. As they’re closing so many branches (including my local one) you would think you could chose the statement dates and upload as you would with your classic account. NO YOU CANNOT. How hard is it to make it so that you can upload any statement you want in pdf? Absolutely ridiculous!!!

Very tasty. The flavour I chose (chicken) didn’t have any nasty ingredients in it so that’s good as the other flavours did have them. A bit too expensive unfortunately so might not buy again (will have to think about it).

First off there’s the quality of our product, all U.K. grown and produced and the crisps are very high quality hand cooked. But we also have additional costs for our packaging. Apart from the home compostable sachets, our home compostable crisp bags are more than 10 times the price to manufacture compared to a plastic crisp bag that will be on earth for the next 100 years.

Unfortunately right now doing good for the planet is an expensive business and as soon as more companies adopt these new materials, the prices will come down and we’ll be able to pass the savings on to our customers. Don’t forget we’re a small company, we try our best to make sure that our quality matches our pricing!

I emailed to cancel the order which…

I emailed to cancel the order which they didn’t do. Had to get Royal Mail to collect the item again. Now they’re dragging their feet to refund me. They got the item back in their warehouse last Thursday, today is Tuesday and they still haven’t refunded me. Will never order from them again.

As per their response, they refunded me yesterday? That’s not true as I’ve just checked my account and the money isn’t there.

Good Afternoon I am sorry to read your review I have looked into this and can see that you emailed in on Saturday 03.01.25 asking to cancel. As per our automated email reply our response time can be upto 48 working hours from our return to the office which in this case was a Monday. In the meantime our warehouse had dispatched your order as normal before we had reached your email.
Your return was processed on the 16th January by our warehouse and refunded to your account on the 21st of January inthe time frame as quoted on our terms and conditions.
I hope that my explanation above would be enough to give you the confidence to shop with us again in the future.

Dreams didn’t make it crystal clear…

Follow up: have been called by dreams yesterday and have accepted a good will gesture.

Dreams didn’t make it crystal clear that the customer needs to disassemble old furniture. Pathetic as I paid to have the new assembled so why not do both. Plus, the mattresses lie on a flush piece of MDF rather than being inset so they constantly move around. Terrible design

Non existent customer service

Bought a handful of things. My kids decided that most of it they didn’t want. After checking the app to check if I could cancel some of the items, I called customer service. Had to wait over 30 minutes to speak to someone. Finally I got the call back when the lady informed me that she would have to transfer the call to a different department as she couldn’t cancel any of the items. After over an hour and being passed to 4 different people I hung up absolutely furious. In the meantime, items were leaving the warehouse. I emailed the complaint department to tell them to cancel everything and not to deliver any of the items. All I got were emails stating that I can reject the delivery or return to the store. This I obviously know but why can’t you cancel the items that haven’t left the warehouse? It doesn’t make sense to deliver and waste money when the item is rejected? Or I need to waste time and money to bring all the items back to a store. Not once did the people who respond to my emails actually deal with the biggest issue which was that the first person I spoke to could have just told me that nothing can be cancelled (bar the mirror) and that the other items can be rejected upon delivery or be brought back to the store. Plus I was also lied to. I was told in an email that I have 1 hour to cancel an item after placing an order. This is absolute rubbish as I’ve tried many times over the years. Worst customer service. All the people I dealt with were literal airheads. Now I know!

Was sent a mill when I ordered scales

Was sent a mill when I ordered scales. No telephone number on their website, which is unacceptable. Was sent the scales and was told to keep the mill. The actual scales aren’t great. They don’t deal well with small amounts which for the price isn’t good. The values change very quickly even when I’m not actually pouring anything which isn’t normal. Won’t buy from Salter again
