Non existent customer service

Bought a handful of things. My kids decided that most of it they didn’t want. After checking the app to check if I could cancel some of the items, I called customer service. Had to wait over 30 minutes to speak to someone. Finally I got the call back when the lady informed me that she would have to transfer the call to a different department as she couldn’t cancel any of the items. After over an hour and being passed to 4 different people I hung up absolutely furious. In the meantime, items were leaving the warehouse. I emailed the complaint department to tell them to cancel everything and not to deliver any of the items. All I got were emails stating that I can reject the delivery or return to the store. This I obviously know but why can’t you cancel the items that haven’t left the warehouse? It doesn’t make sense to deliver and waste money when the item is rejected? Or I need to waste time and money to bring all the items back to a store. Not once did the people who respond to my emails actually deal with the biggest issue which was that the first person I spoke to could have just told me that nothing can be cancelled (bar the mirror) and that the other items can be rejected upon delivery or be brought back to the store. Plus I was also lied to. I was told in an email that I have 1 hour to cancel an item after placing an order. This is absolute rubbish as I’ve tried many times over the years. Worst customer service. All the people I dealt with were literal airheads. Now I know!
