Review of Royal Mail
Posted my parcel at a Royal Mail locker - never to be seen again.
Royal Mail has completely gone to pot. It used to be a reliable service you could trust but it is now a shambles in every way and completely unreliable.
I posted a parcel at one of their lockers on 2 January and it has not been seen since. I put in a claim but nobody wants to take responsibility. The locker opened, I put in my parcel and then the machine asked me if I wanted an email receipt to which I responded yes, and typed in my email address. Guess what? of course no receipt ever arrived via email, the lockers are obviously fault and do not work properly and nobody wants to investigate even though I have provided full details of the locker address - my parcel is probably still sitting in there!
Advice: DO NOT USE THE LOCKERS - ALWAYS TAKE TO POST OFFICE AND GET A RECEIPT (even though you will probably have to wait a couple of hours in queue due to lack of staff).
That's just one complaint of Royal Mail, don't get me started on frequency of delivery of mail to my home, or the fact that stuff that is signed for is often just left sitting on my doorstep in full view asking to be stolen.
My advice is use a different delivery company if possible.
Review of The Vet
If you want your insurance claim dealt with promptly don’t take your pet to The Vet - they take weeks to process claims and as you have to pay their fees up front it probably is not priority for them.
So not only do you pay high monthly insurance premiums, especially if you have an older pet - you also have to pay up front for treatment and wait weeks to have your claim processed.

Absolutely awful experience ordering online with Boots. At checkout put down my nominated store pick-up - when the order went through I saw it was going to another store miles away. Then got a message to say there had been an error with my order and it had not gone through - the money had gone from my bank though. Called customer service and finally got through to someone - after a lot of aggro (their opening hours are wrong on their recorded message) only to be told there was nothing could be done. Would have to leave if at the store until it was sent back to warehouse then I would receive a refund (about three weeks). Absolutely outrageous- I don’t have the money to buy it again - it’s my daughter’s Xmas present- PULL YOUR SOCKS UP BOOTS - I will never order online with you again and anyone reading this beware - you were warned!

Have been telephoning for two days constantly now. Nobody answers the telephone in the service department. I have tried the sales line and someone said they would ask the service team to call me back but to no avail.
Sales also informed me that there is a month long wait to book your car in for a warranty problem and told me it would probably be better to take my car to another VW dealer miles away.
Not sure what is going on here, but the place seems like an absolute shambles and if I was you I would avoid if you want any form of after sales service for your VW.

Review of Animal Friends Insurance
First claim I had made having been with this insurance company for ten years. They placed price caps on certain items of treatment that were not clearly stated anywhere in my policy. I questioned this and was told the caps constantly change, which is why they are not set out. This is misleading and when researching further I found out that any caps should be clearly stated in the policy wording - this was not the case. On taking it further they waived the caps - but I have formed a negative opinion of this company.
Thank you for your response - my point is that any caps on items should be transparent and made clear in my policy documents - which they are not - the customer should be able to see any caps when they purchase the policy. The Financial Ombudsman makes it clear that any capped fees should be clearly stated. It is not right that you only find out about these when you make a claim and it is not right - as I was told by one of these agents that these caps change frequently.

Absolute shambles of a company - however many times you complain they just ignore you. I have told them not to leave unattended packages on my doorstep and they insist on doing it. Today they sent a picture of the outside of my house - no parcel in it and said my parcel had been delivered - and of course there is no parcel.
So again I have to go back to the sender - how many times do I have to go through this.
Senders - If you have any sense and want your parcels delivered securely - DO NOT USE HERMES

5 stars - exceptional service- other retailers should take a leaf from Dyson’s book!

I have posted a review about Hermes before - but am here again as they have asked for feedback after delivery of another parcel. The service has unfortunately still not improved - despite numerous requests they still leave parcels on my doorstep or in my bin - whether I am in or out - they think by taking a photo of it outside your property is adequate proof of delivery. I really could not recommend them to anyone who wants to receive or deliver a parcel safely.

As requested by the customer services team of Hermes in response to my earlier review I emailed them with the tracking details but as yet I have not had the courtesy of any response. This evening I have just had an email to say that my items which were left on my doorstep last week - (over £100 worth of goods for anyone to help themselves to) have been delivered tonight and I have signed for them. This company is an absolute joke and I would reiterate my point which is if you want your goods to arrive safely and securely avoid Hermes.

Despite making numerous complaints and continued requests not to do so my local Hermes courier continues to leave packages on my doorstep when I am not in, in full view making them easy pickings for thieves and alerting burglars to the fact nobody is in. I really would avoid using this company for delivery of parcels, they really do not care whether the customer receives it safely or not.

My daughter received a White company silver plated trinket box for Her 18th birthday From her uncle. After a few weeks it became severely tarnished although we had followed the cleaning instructions. II contacted the white company Customer service who have been extremely unhelpful - Even though I’ve given them the purchaser’s name and address and approx date of purchase, they refuse to do anything unless they can speak to the purchaser. I am reluctant to go back to her uncle and complain about the present, it just seems very ungrateful and he’s also a very busy man. The white company during my communications with them have constantly pushed the goalposts to avoid replacing this faulty item. I will be telling all my friends and family who are white company customers to avoid them now I am just so disappointed - I don’t often write reviews but after the shoddy service I have received felt compelled to do so. Avoid the silver plated items - they are not worth the money and look awful after a few weeks.
