I wish I had read these reviews before ordering, recently there seem to be many negative ones. I ordered and they don't make it obvious what is a legal plate and what isn't, I was pulled over by the police and given a warning. When you go to the website it picks show plate by default and then allows other options but there is no warning to say you are ordering an illegal plate. The company refuse to send a replacement that is legal.

Can’t recommend enough! Still in shock at how quickly they came after ordering....was the next day. The plates themselves are absolutely perfect....great quality, & look brill! Will definitely be recommending to friends/family and will 100% use again if I need anymore plates doing. Website is fool proof & so easy to use. Best show plates company out there.

I received a plate for my motorbike very quickly but it had a slight flaw in it. Within minutes of me emailing them about it, they got back in touch with me. They then reported the problem to their manufacturing dept who produced a new plate immediately for me and sent it out straight away with no additional cost or fuss. Great Company to deal with!

Appalling company - low quality plates with grey rather than black print. Like the website and it’s ease of use. Pity they could not have backed it up with a quality product. Failed to respond to email, left to contact PayPal. Wish I had read Trust Pilot first!

Absolutely rubbish, plates are very low quality, they can't even centre the text/border properly.

Customer service is despicable.

Don't waste your money buy elsewhere.

BEWARE, I ordered from their road legal drop down list and was sent an illegal plate. When confronting the issue they firstly ignored my email, then declared that 9x7 was the legal size I required, not the 6x4 they sold me from within the Road Legal selection. CON ARTIST. Although they did correct website when I pointed it out. Plenty of honest companies to choose from, just research DVLA laws before ordering.

Trustpilot score at time of writing is 8.8, but they're still showing 9.7-Excellent on the website.

Ordered before the cut-off time for same day despatch, two days later, still not despatched. No response to emails.

Go elsewhere, not to be trusted.

Rear plate was poor quality. Sent a replacement, which was worse than the orginal. Failed to respond to emails. Reported problem to Paypal then seller responded. Sent yet another replacement, yes, you guessed it, poor quality. Gave up and got a refund, over 2weeks wasted!!

Ordered a rear motorcycle number plate with 48-hour delivery. Order did not turn up. Contacted Showplates Direct twice via email and received no response.

Contacted Hermes and they refused to share information and told me to contact the seller.

Ordered plate on 19th May 18 and as of 4th June 18 still no plate.

AVOID USING THIS COMPANY AS THEY HAVE NOT SENT ME MY PLATE AND DO NOT REPLY TO EMAILS!

I needed road legal number plate. i've chosen LEGAL PLATE BUILDER and within this builder i've selected one of available sizes. But this crappy plate builder built NON LEGAL PLATE NUMBER. Absolutely no information its not legal when top of the page shows its road legal.
when I requested refund as I received non legal plate number I was totally ignored. absolutely no support after sale.
I would say avoid unless you want a crappy number plate which can be used during shows only.
better go to Halfords and get one done in 5 minutes, same price and better quality

Awful rubbish plates. No refund available and they don’t care

After seeing the negative reviews I thought I would share my experience as fortunately I have nothing to complain about. Ordered a pair of plates on a bank holiday, were presumably made and dispatched the next working day as I received them the day after that. Plates were well packaged and seem of equal quality to plates I've ordered elsewhere. I didn't have to submit any docs or photos of docs, which I did have to do elsewhere (after I had placed the order). So nothing but positive experience from me!

I ordered one motorcycle plate and one rear car plate. They arrived reasonably quickly and the quality was good but they put a totally different car plate in the packaging. Emailed them twice about their error and still no return email nearly three weeks later. They are happy to take your order but customer service is none existant.

My new motorbike plates arrived in two working days and look very good quality. Would recommend!

Check out their facebook page for actual reviews. Send out the wrong stuff and ignore emails and complaints etc.

I am happy with the products quality and the customer service was very professional.
