So after months of phone calls and…
So after months of phone calls and emails I have finally been refunded the money I had to pay in cash to have my furniture delivered because of scs mistake and negligence. I have requested a phone call from senior management but have not had one which is very disappointing as I would like to know why a company like scs insist you pay delivery drivers cash and that driver cannot give you a receipt. It seems very dodgy to me but I wanted my furniture so had no option but to pay it. Won't be in this situation again as I will never do business with scs again.

After over a year trying to get a refund on our damaged sofa we visited the Farnborough showroom on Friday August 29th and spoke to the manager Dardan who confirmed we would get a full refund which was confirmed in an email on Sat 30th where he said he would contact us to arrange for the sofa to be collected, guess what it's now Weds 17th Sept and we haven't heard squat, even used the customer services form online and still nothing. Looks like I have no choice but to go down the legal route. Once they've got your money the after care service is shite. I will never ever recommend them to anyone.

This company DEFINITELY cannot be trusted
There is no zero stars, so I have had to give one star! Having posted a scathin review on August 1st, I received a response on August 4th promising that my situation would be looked into. It is now September 15th and I have heard nothing!
This company mis-sold us two sofas at a cost of £3255. It further mis-sold an insurance policy which they refuse to honour. I will now have to refer the case to the Ombudsman, a service which they claim to subscribe to. We shall see!

This company cannot be trusted to fulfil its promises, to honour its guarantee or to deliver the same quality as is seen in the showroom. Unfortunately, there is no facility on Trustpilot to give a zero or negative star rating. We purchased 2 sofas at a cost of £3000 for onward shipment to our home in France. This was clearly stated when the order was placed. They agreed to deliver to our shipping agent and we were shown examples of their packaging methods to allay our fears about in-transit damage. We were assured that the insurance policy which they sold us was valid throughout Europe, including France, where the group has many outlets. In the event, the quality of the sofas was not acceptable and the faulty workmanship (puckering of the upholstery after two weeks of light use) was acknowledged by the store manager when we provided him with photographs. The complaints procedure on line does not work. We finally spoke to someone by telephone who passed us back to the store. The store manager could not resolve our issue and passed the problem back to head office. After two months, nothing is happening with neither the store nor the head office answering emails. Complaints we were told are now handled at their stores but there is no phone number to ring and they don't answer emails!

Delivery team
The delivery team let me know when they were an hour away. When they arrived they were very friendly and efficient. They put my furniture together and cleared up all the packaging after. I couldn’t have asked for a better service. Thank you.
Terrible Experience. Buy at your peril…
Wow! What a terrible experience we have had.
We purchased a new Savazza sofa and a Orton armchair - both in White Peony and paid extra so that deliveries could be made individually, instead of waiting for both to be ready at once.
The sofa came and the delivery guys were really excellent with the unwrapping - mindful this is a pure white couch, washing their hands in between every layer of wrapping. Once fully unwrapped, we discovered that the sofa was absolutely filthy. Covered in marks, pink stains and even blood!!!
The delivery team reported this, as did we and SCS sent out an inspector. The inspector agreed with our findings and we got approval from SCS that the original order, with chair, would be cancelled, and we were to go in and choose a replacement couch.
We did this and waited and waited - nothing. Upon chasing we were advised we owed them another £600+
This was not the case. Our new choices cost less than our original order. After much tooing and froing - they hadn’t cancelled the chair. Eventually this was done, we thought it was now settled, only to chase again for an order update, to be told we still owe them money. Transpires, despite the fact we have receipts for our deposit, they think we paid a different deposit amount.
The whole situation is utterly ridiculous and frankly, the staff dealing with this are entirely inadequate. Received a phone call from the store advising ‘very senior people in head office are looking at this’. This was 3 weeks ago and still nothing.
I have written to their executive customer service team on the 12th August, this was tracked and delivered on the 13th, still nothing.
I have advised them that I now have chosen to cancel the entire order and we want all of our paid monies returned because yes, despite having a grubby couch and no chair, I am paying finance for both!!!
My next step will be the small claims court.
I will never purchase from SCS again. I am sure like every big ‘for gain’ company, they are great if all goes well, but the minute something doesn’t, it’s an absolute sh!t show.
If you can, steer clear!!!
Update: 11th September 2025. Surprise! Still no contact from SCS. So much for - we will be in touch!

BEWARE of SCS Farnborough
BEWARE. Bought lovely sofas for 4k - but got TERRIBLE SERVICE. I cleared the balance on Friday and this store said delivery definitely will be Monday - 100% Sir. I removed the old sofas Sunday and got nothing on Monday. On the phone they said delivery was pulled on Friday and the store was emailed and told to inform me. After I paid in full - nobody at SCS bothered to tell me they pulled my delivery - or even called to arrange a new delivery. I chased it all up myself. What a nonsense from SCS. Finally got my sofas on Friday - the delivery vendor was perfect - far better than SCS staff. I recommend to look elsewhere first, but do buy from SCS if they have the best sofa for you - but expect TERRIBLE SERVICE from this store!! BEWARE...

AVOID THIS DREADFUL COMPANY - GO TO BETTER COMPANIES LIKE DFS!
I bought a leather suite from ScS Furniture in Farnborough and dealt with a salesman named David in January 2025.
Despite the numbers for the purchase and the extended warranty adding up, it subsequently turned out that the extended 5-year warranty was NOT included.
Luckily I purchased the suite through V12 Retail Finance and have lodged a formal complaint via them, as ScS Furniture is utterly useless/appalling and as they NEVER answer their phones at Head Office.
Their attitude is disgusting as now they've had a sale, they don't care and despite me having a written note from ScS Farnborough initially giving me contact details (where nobody answers the phones), it does read "Why was the Cavil/Warranty removed?" - meaning that it should have been included......
I feel they have been thoroughly dishonest and have read dreadful online reviews of ScS and the Farnborough showroom - despite the suite being good quality, their customer service, experience and their attitude let's it all down! I would never go back again.
Lastly, they always seem to reply to negative reviews by saying "Sorry to read (YEAH, RIGHT!) and please contact the store to resolve the issue...." and have spent too many hours trying this already and won't waste any more time - so you can print your response, roll it up tightly and stick it where the sun doesn't shine! 🤔
I am taking up my complaint via V12 Retail Finance as this falls under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
I am also looking to take this matter to Court and I wonder if they'll be so cocky when I produce various emails and a copy of this written note from ScS Farnborough to a Magistrate at Court?
I also intend to give this matter maximum negative publicity via various social media forums and have already contacted the Consumer Affairs Department at the Daily Mail.
Unfortunately this review doesn't allow negative scores as 1 out of 5 stars is too high for these dirty rotten scoundrels!

Despite reading numerous negative reports I had no issues. Sofa and chair was arranged to be delivered within the +\- 4 weeks. I had to cancel original delivery date due to being out of the country, so had it delivered two weeks later. The guys who delivered were great, I ordered a power recliner sofa and chair. They were sectional so all boxed up and then unpacked out side and brought inside for assembly. It was quickly put together, moved to where I wanted it. I was asked to fully test it all to make sure I was happy. I am very happy with my purchase, find it very comfortable and easy to nod off while stretched out!

We had to pay a deposit of £505 which was taken but also went back a week later to do finance as we are still waiting for our insurance
This us where the problems started
Over a month later we still have not received our money the delivery done by the scs shop has been cancelled even though we had a firm date for delivery
In our really sensitive situation this is so out of order that we are being treated like this
I’ve given David 2 stars for his service scs as a whole zero

Worst company ever. Said I could change the colour of the sofa and I couldn’t. Got the wrong colour sofa with no options. Totally in SCS favour. Scumbag company!
Received no email confirmation at all no paperwork. Had to go into store to be told I can’t do anything.
Honestly they do not care one bit. Trying to speak to anyone of any authority is very difficult.

An excellent experience with Darden, super helpful and very knowledgeable and made us feel very confident about the purchase of our first sofa! He offered fantastic advice and was very hospitable, we travelled back specifically to the Farnborough store to make our purchase and are very excited to receive our new sofa!
Good product, good price, great range of options but let down by head office customer service. Lovely staff in-store but they’re limited by the service and information provided by head office.
We spent a long time looking at all the recliner sofas on the market before settling on two (a 2-seater and the smuggler) from the SCS Borghi range. They were which extremely comfortable, well-priced, exactly the right size and we were able to choose a fabric that fitted in perfectly with our living room colour scheme. Great attention from salesman Lynton in the Farnborough store.
No major delay on delivery but the order tracking system leaves a lot to be desired. One big issue was that - despite endless checking and reassurances - the backs of the sofas can’t be detached so delivery almost had to be abandoned. Well done delivery guys for getting the furniture in somehow, but not without some minor damage to doors.
One remaining small niggle - the four very lovely but pricey scatter cushions we ordered turned out to be so large they won’t even fit on the sofas. SCS head office trued to brush me off but eventually told me to talk to the manager in-branch. He agreed to replace them but 6 weeks have passed without confirmation or action.
