Very upsetting experience. Their customer interface is designed so that it is virtually impossible to talk to a human. They force auto renewals. In my case they made me pay a year in advance and have diabled my login. So I cant even use the product I do not want to use and did not want to pay for. I find this Unethical by Design.

THEY KEEP TRYING TO TAKE $560 FROM MY ACCOUNT

I signed up for a free trial WHICH I CANCELLED TWO YEARS AGO. For the last two years they have randomly and intermittently tried to take the money from my card, even though this is a different card to the one I signed up with! I have now had to think about closing this account ad I cannot afford a scam company to keep taking money from me.

Charged $936 for service I never used - avoid at all costs

WARNING: Jasper AI has billing practices that border on fraudulent. I signed up for their 7-day free trial 2 years ago, attempted to cancel before it ended, but somehow they've been charging me $468 annually ever since. Total damage: $936.

The Problems:
- Continued billing after I believed I had cancelled during trial.
- Zero value received - I barely used their service after the trial period.
- Refused to provide any refund despite clear evidence of no usage.
- Customer service went completely silent after I escalated my case.

Their Response: Initially denied my refund request citing their "7-day policy" even though I never knowingly subscribed. When I asked for escalation to a supervisor, they stopped responding entirely. It's been over 48 hours with no response, violating their own stated response time.

Pattern of Behavior: After researching, I found dozens of similar complaints from customers who thought they cancelled but kept getting billed. This appears to be their business model - trap people who think they've cancelled and hope they don't notice.

My Advice: Avoid Jasper AI entirely. If you must try them, use a prepaid card or virtual card number. Take screenshots of your cancellation process and monitor your credit card statements religiously

Currently pursuing chargeback and filing complaints with BBB and state consumer protection agencies. No company should be able to charge $936 for services never used.

Save your money and use Claude or any of the many free alternatives instead.

Jasper disappeared a document. CS non-responsive

The tools are generally effective when they work.

The UI is very sparse with poor messaging. Its hard to find the controls to utilize various features. It has trouble switch from one area (screen, page) within its own system to another and tends to lose data.

The big problem was that it plain disappeared a document i had been building for 10 hours. The AI threw a couple errors when making an edit and then the doc just vanished.

The AI bot couldn't find it anywhere. I couldn't find it anywhere.

So i contact customer service. There is no voice call. No chat. Only email with multi-hour response times.

The slow response times are compounded by getting replies that are irrelevant and/or that give directions that don't apply to the UI i am seeing.

now after several back-n-forth responses i get a reply saying "our engineering team is already working diligently to resolve the issue. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we have news. "

so, they don't know what went wrong. cannot easily fix it and i am to wait an indefinite amount of time for an undetermined outcome.

this is supposed to be a professional tool for business.

Not Recommended

Not Recommended. The tool does not work properly, there is no trial option, and it charges automatically without notifying the customer. I do not recommend it.

Review based on Customer Service

Edited 5.17.25 I am changing this from my 2 start to a 5 star based on the following information. After posting this review I took a deeper dive into how to reach customer support and found an email address. I received prompt response and had a full refund credited back to me within an hour of my email. I can' task for better than that. I do recommend NOT using their chat feature for help if you don't find quick responsiveness. But I am satisfied that they did understand my situation and were quick to cancel my subscription and refund my money. My rating is based on that customer service interaction. I did not get a full opportunity to deep dive into the tool itself.

I initially subscribed to explore the platform for professional use. However, before I could fully evaluate its capabilities, a significant shift in priorities required me to step away from the exploration. Nine months later—having forgotten about the subscription—I received a renewal charge of $500 for another year of service, despite no longer being with the company or having a need for the product.

I attempted to contact support immediately upon seeing the charge, but found no phone number available—only a chat feature. It has now been over 24 hours with no response. This lack of customer service is disappointing and suggests a low priority on customer experience. When I am ready to invest in a tool like this again, I will be seeking a provider that demonstrates a stronger commitment to supporting its users. Unfortunately, Jasper has not met that standard.

Go with free ChatGPT instead

I signed up for the two week trial with Jasper.
I wanted to cancel before the two weeks was up and was unable to do so.
I contacted support and they did not respond.
Now that they have my money, they are communicating and as of today, are refusing to refund my money.
It was advertised as a monthly fee, and they took the whole year as payment and will not refund what I have not used.

Content is NOT great.
The Brand Voice does NOT carry through, it reverts back to AI speak.

I do not recommend this at all. A free Chat GPT account is more powerful.

UPDATE: They did give me a refund:) I had to be persistent and they did the right thing

High cost, low benefit

The idea of an AI tool that mimics an established brand voice is great, but Jasper does not deliver. I spent a lot of time trying to set it up, attending webinars and watching recordings, and it never gave us anything more than cookie-cutter responses and templates that we could honestly just get for free from other AI tools.

In addition, they engage in fraudulent marketing practices - some of the most useful features that it advertises are secretly behind the top tier of its expensive pricing structure. Our small business paid a lot for advanced features, only to discover that just kidding, you have to pay even *more* to get the good stuff.

Naturally their subscriptions are nonrefundable, even when you point out their deceitful business practices, so here we are.

Cannot login from day one and all messages ignored

I purchased the plan, got an email confirming this. Tried to log in and it only allows me to pay again. The money has left my bank.

Having tried to contact support through email , help, Facebook and insta. Not one has been replied to. I can’t even cancel without being able to log in.
