Don't apply for a job here.
I just tried to apply for a job at great bear using a job site and who ever is in charge of putting the job advert up did such a poor job that the job was actually not able to apply for it
A question asked about criminal convictions so I checked the box to say "none". It then had an optional section to give details of any convictions you need to write down. I couldn't continue without writing in this so called " optional box ". It then came to my addr as line 2 which again had a box as optional, it was not optional again. What? Do the people writing these ads know what optional means? So I had to put a . In the box to continue. I then get to apply and nope can't apply unless I give the company the permission to hold my details for 2 years. I don't need you to hold my details for 2 years, I just need you to give me a job or not.

Maybe it's time to get some other staff working on the job hiring because the current staff haven't got a clue what they're doing.

I would give a zero rating if I could. Family member started working there today, after being made redundant a few months ago. He is a good worker. But as it was his first day, they've sent him home early because he wasn't quick enough and they weren't telling him what to do properly. One person called him a prick because he didn't move a pallet. Told him off for dropping a couple of things, but a supervisor dropped half a pallet and no one batted an eyelid. Also made him do more work than anyone else did in the few hours he was there, but still said he wasn't quick enough.

Disgusting attitude from a company.

Wish I could give 0 stars, worked there years ago and if I knew what I know today definitely would take them to court for harassment!
Disgusting place and also disgusting people in there , disgusting attitude towards staff and just worried about numbers.

I was sat in a pub garden and noticed a man in great bear uniform smoking weed - great representation.

He looked young and mixed race with big beard. Must be from the snapewood great bear as it was a pub close by to it.

Head over to YouTube.... A cameraman was filming on PUBLIC land, filming private land FROM the public land, which IS COMPLETELY LEGAL..... This company however don't obey the law, the manager and a security officer with no id on display assault the cameraman, that's a criminal offence.........

Forklift and aislemaster drivers are pushed to abandon Health and Safety standards to achieve required KPI's. Very toxic environment. I hated every day I had to go to work. H&S needs to be a priority. We were warned about a safety inspection in advance. Everyone was on their best behavior. Beforehand and afterwards, everyone was pushing to meet KPI's.

Just watched an appalling assault on a member of public on social media, your member of staff attacked a gentleman who was in public for no reason, this is disgraceful and I hope you have sacked him

Please read all the Vile reviews , this company are horrific we have dash cam footage we’re reporting of incident today 11.22 am heading towards Merry Hill lorry REG PJ23 **** driving dangerous down the M6 very close behind sounding his horn in traffic queues with my 80 year old mother as passenger , I advise others also to report incidents and get these vile scum of the roads !!!!!

This is a company to stay clear off as the management hasn't a clue what they are doing , if things ain't done the way the transport manager and the warhouse manger at heywood depot they will shout and swear at his staff umiliatimg them in front of everyone which I have witnessed on my visits here they are very rude and a bully's and seems the company allows them to get away with this as they still work there , the warehouse when you arrive to collect a load if you early get shouted at and told to wait to me it's not a Company I would work for its like a kindergarden for adults , the drivers also seem to be angry and rude,the canteen smells like a grease factory just mot a pleasant place to collect from.

I was horrified to watch a you tube event if staff treating a man with a camera in the way they did. It was pure hostility.. bullying, offensive and threatening behaviour.. Is this how you treat the public ?

I was shocked.. and the gent PJ Audits makes so interesting viewing and while not everyone gets his point I can’t believe he was treated in the way he was. Abused by staff

How to not do great customer service

Cannot be bothered to answer complaint about their chosen courier partner Evri. Parcel containing coffee From Tassimo was left at end of half kilometer drive. Great Bear's silence and choice of delivery partner speaks volumes

thugs and criminals try to intimidate members of the public and assault them they should be shut down its totally unacceptable

Unbelievable behaviour from a professional organisation in 2022. We would be delighted to see bullying in the work place stopped, but this organisation have take that to a whole new level. I have just seen a video published by YouTube channel 'PJ Audits' which clearly shows the photographer standing on a public footpath outside their building and was physically assaulted by Great Bear staff. Somebody needs firing there, and if they don't, then be aware that this is the kind of business you are supporting when you use Great Bear.

I ordered a product distributed by Great Bear more than two weeks ago. Sadly, they chose to use a delivery company called DPD which, of course, has failed to do its job. DPD doesn't have a call centre or any other support for customers, just a bogus on-line form which generates an email that says that they will look into your concern and get back to you. They don't. Great Bear is similarly hard to get hold of and don't respond to customer emails either. All of which means that I have no idea when or if the product I've already been charged for will ever be delivered and no obvious way of querying this failure. Having had no response to my queries, I've reported both business to Trading Standards and am now considering other options. There are so many other things I could be doing with my time. I don't know why any company would use DPD. Their Trust Pilot rating should be a sufficient red flag.

I AM SHOCKED WITH THE GREAT BEAR LORRY'S AT 2AM ON THE 21ST OF SEPTEMBER 2016 DOWN NEW CHESTER ROAD IN BROMBOROUGH ,WHEN 2 OF THOSE LORRY'S RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER WAS RACING AT INCREDIBLE SPEEDS ,THEY DID NOT SEE ME AND ALMOST KILLED ME, I HAD TO DRIVE DOWN A OFF ROAD THAT PUSHED ME INTO A DITCH OTHERWISE I WOULD OF BEEN SQUASHED LIKE TIN OF SARDINES ,I AM HORRIFIED EVEN TO THIS DAY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME AND MY CAR,DID THEY STOP TO SEE IF I WAS OKAY ,NO!!!!,THEY CARRIED ON RACING ,WHO ARE THESE MURDERERS DRIVERS THAT ALMOST KILLED ME.I HAVE BEEN IN SHOCK FOR THE LAST FEW WEEKS AND ONLY NOW COME OUT OF THE SHOCK.

LUCKILY I HAVE THE WHOLE THING ON MY CAR CAMERA RECORDER.
