The Family Law Group acted for my…

The Family Law Group acted for my husband during our divorce. I had already endured 30 years of mental and physical abuse, but their involvement made things far worse. On their advice, my husband was told to record me 24/7 on his phone. This led to constant gaslighting, which pushed me into a serious mental health crisis.

I was even told I couldn’t have alcohol in my own home without the police being called, because of guidance given by their solicitor. Alongside the continued mental abuse, I was threatened with legal costs of over £3,000.

Thankfully, the judge saw through this behaviour, found in my favour, and ordered my husband to pay. But the damage caused in the process was significant.

No more to say the family law group is would definitely recommend. The mediators was very straight towards understand and supportive. I personally would say 10/10 service I did not had much time to find anyone my divorce case was complex. I had very fast booked appointment and in next day issued the Miam meeting.

I used Kim Tate for a child arrangements matter and a very complex non molisation matter which has fierce opposition from the local authority.

Kim reassured me by keeping me updated at all times, was available via phone in between hearings and made sure I had the right barristers in court.

Very dedicated solicitor and not afraid to do her research.

I would recommend anyone to Kim who is in private proceedings

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Child was put in danger because the solicitors would not read the case notes the family provided and were clearly being manipulated by the court and social services into doing a bad job. This firm should be shut down for the sake of all children. DO NOT USE OR TRUST.

Harriet Hudson of Family Law Group…

Harriet Hudson of Family Law Group assisted my ex partner in committing perjury and perverting the course of justice. She also brought criminal allegations to the Family court and saw me subjected to a secret criminal trial ignoring the Human Rights Act.
She then conspired with the judge to prevent me from being granted parental responsibility.
Absolute criminals.
Steer clear of any solicitors when dealing with family matters.

Totally unethical

My ex wife who i haven't spoken to in 5 years used this firm to contact me demanding more in payment from me, a lot more and threatened to restrict my access to our 3 children and told me should i try to contact my children the police will be informed. On passing this letter to an actual solicitor it transpired that this was not legal as my rights as a father and the previous court case had already granted me access. This was simply greed from my ex wife and a solicitor who perpetuates this kind of nonsense for a cash payment are not only immoral but acting unethically in the name of profit. On a lighter note, the letter was riddled with typos and grammatical errors, so I'm pretty sure they're not exactly the A team of family law solicitors to begin with. Letter went into the bin and i continued my access and generous maintenance i already pay to look after them.

AVOID. Especially if you're on Legal Aid.

Dreadful. Avoid, particularly if you are on Legal Aid. Not one qualified solicitor looked at my case in the two years I was a client. Instead, I had various interns and a paralegal oversee my case. Constant mistakes, slow responses, no care whatsoever about your personal circumstances. Everytime I expressed concern about something, I was brushed aside. £10,000 paid to FLG and over two later and I'm still fighting my ex. Thankfully, I have an EXCELLENT solicitor now who clearly knows what she is doing. She has also agreed with me on the poor and vague advice given to me by FLG, now that she has seen my whole file. Her exact quote: "I don't understand how this has cost you £10,000 and you've gotten nothing for it except a Decree Absolut." Indeed. Next stop: Legal Ombudsman. And a call to the Legal Aid agency. They shouldn't be treating Legal Aid clients like third-class citizens.

Exceptional Support with Genuine and Thoughtful Understanding

I contacted Family Law Group after my case was severely compromised by a McKenzie friend.
At the time, I was extremely frustrated, as my case seemed irreparably damaged and unlikely to be recovered.
Fortunately, I found Alexandra, who, with her incredible calm, patience, and, above all, understanding of my distress, transformed my case from inevitable failure to a path toward better results.
Whereas the McKenzie friend promoted anger and conflict, solely aiming to extract as much money as possible from my pocket, Alexandra instead fostered peace and agreement. These qualities are paramount in court proceedings, especially concerning the well-being of children. Alexandra's approach was a guiding force during an already stressful and life-changing moment.
Furthermore, I found Family Law Group's fees to be competitive and worth every penny.
I am immensely grateful to Alexandra and the entire Family Law Group team for their hard work, understanding, and kindness throughout this challenging process. Thank you!

Absolutely appalling experience with…

Absolutely appalling experience with this company. No communication at all for months from Natalie Symons and not even a reply to a letter in which she was asked if she did not want to represent us, please advise. I doubt whether any work at all was carried out on the case concerned.Frankly, i have never experienced anything like this. Disgraceful.

5 stars for Julia Amson at The Family Law Group

Julia Amson is an absolute superstar solicitor! After feeling disheartened when my first two solicitors left the company at the beginning of my divorce journey, Julia took over my case with professionalism and expertise. Despite facing a difficult divorce, Julia navigated every challenge with absolute perfection, securing an outcome for me and my children which was even better than I had hoped for. Her knowledge and dedication were evident throughout the entire process. I truly felt like I won the lottery when Julia took on my case. She very cleverly managed all the curveballs my ex-husband threw at us with finesse, ensuring that my rights were protected and my children's well-being was prioritised. I wholeheartedly recommend Julia to anyone facing a similar situation. Her support extended beyond just legal advice; she became a trusted confidante during a challenging time and I will always look back on that period of my life and appreciate how well I was supported. Julia is the solicitor you want by your side when facing such significant life challenges. I can't thank her enough for all she's done for me and my family.

Terrible company

Terrible company. Wish I could give no stars. My partner is going through a divorce. All this company want is money money money. Been going on for nearly two years and still not sorted but nearly £40000 down the drain. Send emails and they don’t respond except when the next bill is due even though he is in credit. Has to send stuff and when he asks for stuff gets nothing.

Tillie Shannon, disgusting behaviour.

Tillie Shannon instructed my manipulative and abusive ex-wife to cut my access to my children, even though a judge had already assessed it as appropriate. After sending over 90 pictures, a social services report showing the abuse my ex partner has done to our children and myself over the last 12 years they have decided not to answer me about this in over a week. She managed to answer me quick enough when an abuser wanted it. I will be putting in a C100 myself to get full custody of my children and make sure my ex sticks to this, the 3rd cout order i have had to pay for. Have fun giving the wrong advice because I am going to the ombudsman, the papers and my MP about your despicable 2 bit law practice. I thought that you helped the abused not the abuser (Well according to your website anyway) and if your a family law firm you should have the familys interests at heart, especially the children otherwise you are just a scummy defence solicitor that will back the dregs of society for money. I'm sure my children an many others are very pleased with you allowing there abusive parent more rights than one trying to safeguard them.

Worst ever family law solicitors. Awful Family Law Group.

Worst ever family law solicitors and barrister.

They do not deserve even a start, but if not Trustpilot won't let me to write this review.

Family Law Group were the other party solicitors and barristers. They are not even part of Resolution scheme code of practice, so do not expect any amicable outcome with this people. Avoid at any costs. If you were in some decent good terms with your ex- expect a lot of conflict and wrong advice from then.

They take legal aid cases and will feed on it like vultures, so expect a long and conflictive battle with this so unethical and unprofessional firm.

Communication and share of documentation was always maliciously late and on the very last minute from them, we had always had to chase after them.

They played all the dirty tricks. Tried to mislead the judges, the social services, police and all professional bodies involved in the case. Luckily I had a very veteran Level 2 judge and would not have any of it.

I cannot emphasize it enough. Avoid at any cost, but if you have them as the other party representation expect the worst of the worst from this despicable, malicious/evil firm. I can't go into the specifics, as it would be and endless review, but please avoid. And good luck if against them.
