High cost for little result

I started out quite optimistic. However, after more than 12 months of correspondence with the respondent over financial matters, I basically got nowhere and paid over £15,000 for what was essentially just sending loads of emails back and forth. I was told that we needed to show -through correspondence - that we are trying to settle things before heading to court. Court arrived, and I was suddenly told the judge wouldn't want to see endless correspondence. !!!! And it turned out the judge didn't care much anyway. It was literally a waste of time and money. I got very little out of it for the money I spent. There was also a huge lapse in communication when it turned out my case was never actually filed with the court. It was only because I kept questioning why a hearing date hadn't been set that the mistake had been discovered. They deny the error was their fault. The court says otherwise. So, off to the ombudsman I go.
I was also shuffled across several different solicitors so that didn't help. Although two were quite knowledgeable and kind. But bottom line is that this firm does it's best to keep drawing things out and you'll just get a giant bill for sending hundreds of emails with no proper resolution. So beware.

AVOID. Especially if you're on Legal Aid.

Dreadful. Avoid, particularly if you are on Legal Aid. Not one qualified solicitor looked at my case in the two years I was a client. Instead, I had various interns and a paralegal oversee my case. Constant mistakes, slow responses, no care whatsoever about your personal circumstances. Everytime I expressed concern about something, I was brushed aside. £10,000 paid to FLG and over two later and I'm still fighting my ex. Thankfully, I have an EXCELLENT solicitor now who clearly knows what she is doing. She has also agreed with me on the poor and vague advice given to me by FLG, now that she has seen my whole file. Her exact quote: "I don't understand how this has cost you £10,000 and you've gotten nothing for it except a Decree Absolut." Indeed. Next stop: Legal Ombudsman. And a call to the Legal Aid agency. They shouldn't be treating Legal Aid clients like third-class citizens.

Review of Vinted UK

Hideous. Avoid. Vinted doesn't care about customers getting scammed by sellers

Hideous. I bought a jacket which was advertised as leather. Got it and it was plastic. Tried to return it via Inpost, which was the only option given to me via the Vinted platform. But for days there were no Inpost lockers free to drop off the parcel. So I paid for my own postage, notifying the seller, Sofia Fielder, and provided the tracking number. Seller happily picked it up. And Vinted released the money to the seller! No refund! Even though it was impossible for me to use their method in the return window they have me. Here is the worst part: Vinted didnt go after the seller for falsely advertising the jacket. And the hideous seller kept my money, and has ignored all polite messages to refund my £25! Sofia Fielder only responded after I left negative feedback. Gave some sob story that Vinted never gave her the payment. However, 3 days later, I got confirmation from Vinted that she was transferred the money to her Vinted account. She is a scammer. The Vinted "Buyer protection fee" is a scam. I, as a buyer, was not protected in any way. I'm out of pocket by over £30. Vinted says they can't intervene, and let's this scam seller continue to sell her fake goods and keep the money. How's that for a business model?!
