I was charged twice for the same charging instance for 2 different amounts even though they say their price is a flat 79p. You cannot phone them to make a query, the phone number provided is only automated responses. I emailed them as suggested on 3 occasions with no response.

After a terrible experience on nearby Shell chargers (three out of four ultra rapids not working) and in desperate need of a charge because of road closures and diversions I managed to locate some of your Osprey rapids a few miles away Just off the A1 at The Eaton Oak pub in St Neots. They were contactless payment and worked flawlessly and at good speed. This is how it should be done. Shell UK please learn something from this.

WHY do I have to register via the app (that doesn't even recognise my perfectly normal email address and *doesn't* use the autofill facility on my iPhone, FCOL!!!) rather than on my desktop PC?
Why do all these *STUPID* companies insist that you have to live your life peering through a bloody letterbox!!!!

2 bays with 6 spaces at Team Valley. I forgot to charge at home so I was happy to pop to a coffee shop and wait an hour to charge. However one car was plugged in each bay already, and little did I know you can only have one car fast charging per bay. The 22kw option was available so planned to charge here though it would make me late. However maybe because a car was already using the fast charging, I was only getting 6kw. I planned on leaving it for a while and popping out later hoping the other car would be gone. Next, I found out the chaDemo charger I needed was faulty and wouldn't connect. I tried to reconnect the slow charge but I'd used the ID by card too many times and the system blocked me out! Wasted 2 hours and left with 5% more battery than I came with. :(

I took delivery of an electric car last month.
I had to use public chargers as my home charger hasn't been fitted yet.
My nearest charger is a pair of Osprey ones.
Half the time I couldn't use the charger as it seemed to have trouble reading my card.
Last night I had to charge my car, I used the Osprey charger and was charged twice to charge my car.
Phoning Osprey wasn't very helpful.
This, plus the very high price to use Osprey chargers means I will not be using an Osprey charger again.
I will be looking for a different charger to use until my home charger is fitted.

After initially connecting charging stopped After a few minutes.
Tried twice then charging connector failed to release, phone call to Customer service to release from unit.
Shall not be using Osprey again!!!!
The only good point was the lady at Customer service who tried her best.
Took 3 days to get the standing charges back.

I was recently sent a parking fine for not getting a parking ticket at the Osprey charging site at the Wynstay hotel in Wrexham. I was charging my Nissan leaf to enable me to get back to Wiltshire. I contacted Osprey customer service to obtain proof of charging as I did not carry out the process using their app. The customer care specialist obtained the details from me giving her card info used to pay. She the offered to contact the parking company to try and cancel the fine. Within two days she came back to me to say that they had agreed to drop the fine.
She is a superb advert for good customer service.

KNOWN DAMAGES TO MITSUBISHI CARS! On 18/08/2024, after charging my Mitsubishi Outlander at an Osprey Charging station in John O' Groats, Scotland, my dashboard displayed the message "EV System service required," and the vehicle entered a limited functionality mode.
I immediately informed Osprey about the issue, and they requested that I send them the relevant documentation after having the car inspected by a mechanic.
Upon returning from my road trip, I took my car to a Mitsubishi garage for investigation. The garage indicated that the fault might have been caused by a power-related issue from the charging station. They charged me £192 to test the vehicle and stated that an additional £192 would be needed for further diagnostics.
I subsequently contacted Osprey, requesting a refund for the initial testing fee and authorization for the additional investigation.
To my surprise, Osprey responded that they are aware of this being a known issue with Mitsubishi vehicles and their charging stations! However, they argued that this is a "car manufacturer issue" and refused to reimburse the costs I incurred. Even more concerning, Osprey stated that they do not feel it necessary to post any disclaimers at their charging stations regarding this known issue with Mitsubishi vehicles.
As a result, I am now left with a car that is not operating at full performance due to damages to the EV system, and Osprey is avoiding responsibility.
I have used charging stations across the UK and Europe without ever encountering such issues. It may be time for Osprey Charging to consider replacing their stations with reliable alternatives and take accountability for the issues they are causing to me and, it appears, many other Mitsubishi owners.

Hi , What’s the point of having 6 EV charging points at Blue Anchor pub in Crowborough but none of them works for type 2 plug ! That’s why there are always available as not many people using it 😡😡🤷♂️🤦♂️

I used an Osprey EV Charger for the first time last week. I really resent the £45 taken from my account before I was able to charge my car and the slow time it takes for my ‘change’ to be refunded. I have used other chargers such as Tesla and Instavolt and been charged just for the electricity purchased. There is no excuse for this policy. Osprey are profiting by holding on to customers money in their account which is dishonest and should be illegal. I will avoid Osprey in future and advise my friends to do likewise!

Yesterday was my first time using Osprey. I called the helpline at 7am with a query trying to use a charger, not really expecting an answer - but the call was taken (apols as I don’t have a name) and they were extremely awake and helpful. I also had a query today retrieving a receipt and Amy in customer services dealt with it very promptly. So nice to see a mainly online service at Osprey so well supported in a very pleasant manner, very rare these days. Greatly appreciated 👍

I had 2 experiences with Osprey on the same day at the same charger using the same card. First experience was 5* the second was 0* but 1* has to be given.
I connected. Chose payment card not working. Selected app. Not connected. Tried to release cable couldn't. Phoned help line. After 20 mins lost the call
After another 80 minutes with no answer, 'if you want immediate help hold on to the line. Have up. Ordered and aye a meal. Still no reply. Found machine had given up and released the cable. Went back for a final comfort break. Wife tripped and fell spent next 8 hours in a&e.
Not an experience I would recommend to anyone, not any part of it.
Don't use unless you are prepared for trouble.

Wincanton Osprey- EV owner for 4 years - followed instructions, tapped card, charge started then immediately stopped "Error" -£25 on my card - repeated very carefully, taped card - "Error - £25 on my card. One of the £25 refunded, other still pending, as bad as it could possibly be, though the chargers are very efficient at taking the money 5 stars for that- Other drivers, some getting a charge some not = confusion - went to nearby Instatvolt neither working, just as well as they charge 85p and doc £45 I only use as a last resort., made it to Amesbury Gridserv - Perfect and only 63p discounted with app.

Avoid using osprey charging ports at stratford international car park or any paid car park in this case. Everytime you will enter and use them will be issued with pcn despite there is camera and free parking for charging ev sign for every charging bay. It may not be Osprey fault, but dissorganisation between car park and osprey is terrible. Now. I have to deal with 20 pcns, find invoices and prove I was there to charge. Tarrif is 0.79p/kw which is super high and I recommend finding other services.

Well hat can I say my contact Jessica Brown – Customer Care Specialist was so polite, I asked a few questios as I am new to EV charging and to be honest find them mighty frustrating due to the fact I am 62 and things do not come easy to a man who learned Math on an abacus (joking of course) however, this review is just to say thank you first and formost for her kind service and attention to detail and for sorting my enquiry out so very quickley and she went over and above to explain things to me. Sometimes we are all to often focused on giving rubbish reveiews and forget we are all at work to make money to put a roof over our heads so when you get first rate service it shoud be recognised. I for one feel Osprey must have a robust training programme to deliver such first class customer service so well done to them and a super well done and thank you to Jessica.
