Simply useless
TL;DR: Furdeco didn't deliver to our floor, instead, left our sofa outside the front of our building. Delivered the wrong piece of furniture, did not collect the incorrect pieces when they delivered the correct pieces and refused to take the packaging. All despite confirming these details on the phone before coming the day of delivery/collection.
Full story: We ordered an L-shape sofa for our new flat. When the sofa was delivered, we received two chaise lounges instead of one chaise lounge and the sofa part. While this is likely the fault of the furniture company, Furdeco did not check this before or after delivering it. On this occasion, they left it outside our building and refused to deliver it to our flat as they had "not been told" our flat was on the first floor, despite "FIRST FLOOR" being written in our address.
Once my partner and I carried the boxes up to our flat, unpacked them and realised we had two of the same pieces, we contacted the furniture company who arranged for another sofa to be delivered and the incorrect parts to be collected at the same time. Furdeco contacted us to confirm the delivery and collection and on that call, we double-checked that they would be delivering to and collecting from our first floor flat. The day came but instead of getting a visit from our friends at Furdeco, we received a text saying the delivery would not be happening that day due to a "picking error" (whatever that means). A week goes by and after contacting the furniture company again to get them to chase Furdeco, we finally get a delivery date. This time, they deliver the correct pieces to our flat but refuse to collect the two incorrect pieces because, once again, "no one told them" they were collecting. Additionally, they did not take the packaging. After this visit, we were left with four pieces of sofa and more packaging material than Amazon's distribution centre.
In addition to this terrible delivery experience, we were dissatisfied with the quality of the sofa (look out for that review) so we called the furniture company to request it ALL be sent back in exchange for a full refund. Two weeks later and Furdeco is contacting us to confirm the collection. Worried they'd turn up with an unwanted armoire and a "no one told us…" I double, nay, triple confirmed they knew what they were doing on this visit.
Finally, the day comes and I can say the collection was mostly a success (which is at a very low standard at this point). Furdeco managed to take the four pieces of sofa but, in the process, removed significant chunks of plaster from the hallway and, of course: "NO ONE TOLD THEM" TO TAKE THE PACKAGING! At least this company is consistent.
The only reason I gave them one star is because we never have to deal with this company again and there's no way to give them 0 stars.
I don't know who will read this review as most customers don't choose the delivery company when buying furniture, but if you're a business, looking for a delivery company to partner with, choose ANY other delivery company.
