Fast, efficient and all round excellent

I've been using Sendico for a few years now and I've never had any issues. Not only is their service fast and efficient, they contact you if they find cheaper shipping options. I couldn't praise Sendico more.

Trade Me support is non-existent

I recently came home to NZ after living overseas for near on a decade. Naturally I needed a Trade Me account for job and property hunting, so I set one up only to be told I had been banned. After 3 weeks of getting no response from support, I finally got the issue resolved, the issue had to do with confusion over where I was located.

Once the account was activated, I received another message from support saying they had closed and transferred debt from my “other” accounts. I have never used Trade Me before, as I have never had a need for it in the UK. I’ve been trying to get answers from their support team but they do not respond. It has been two weeks and every email has gone unanswered.

Trade Me support is non-existent and they don’t care about their users. I wish there were good alternatives to Trade Me.

Low quality ingredients

I love the concept of HelloFresh and the meals are good. But the ingredients supplied are often poor quality and expire within the week of receiving them, we have had to discard a number of meals due to the main ingredient expiring early.

The service has been good in these situations, but they require a lot of information that they could just collect directly from my account.

We're sorry to hear about the disappointment with the shelf life and quality of our ingredients!

As our ingredients do not contain any preservatives, they do have a shorter shelf life than those you may find in supermarkets. For this reason, the vegetables may last up to 7 days, while the items in the cool bag may last up to 3 days, unless you decide to freeze them to use at a later date.

We try to ensure the highest quality by working with trusted small Suppliers and by keeping the protein and dairy products wrapped in ice packs during transit and storing ingredients in our temperature-controlled facility before sending them out.

When it comes to the interactions with our agents, they are obliged by GDPR regulations to verify the account with the person they are speaking with, as we are not allowed to make any changes on an account without the account holder's authorisation. The verification process usually consists of 3-4 points of identification.

It's important that any quality issues you've experienced are reported and rectified, so we've now sent you a direct message on here to acquire some more details, and are looking forward to hearing from you! Try to deliver closer to the release day

I pre-ordered a comic book due to be released a week from the time of ordering. The delivery cost £1, with no other delivery options. I expected them to dispatch ahead of the release date for delivery on or close to the release date.

Forbidden Planet dispatched it on the day of release with second class service, it arrived three days after its release. I can understand the pandemic may disrupting their service but they haven't indicated that and if they don't intend to aim for delivery on or close to release day, don't charge for delivery.

Bought a soundbar that was cheaper than most other sellers, also offered quick, cheap delivery. The only issue I have with Boots Kitchen Appliances is the incessant phone calls trying to sell me insurance post-delivery, I have blocked the number.

Benuta was really helpful when I had a last-minute change of heart and decided I wanted a different rug after placing an order.

By the time I contacted them the morning after to express my change of heart, they had already dispatched my order (credit to them for very fast dispatch times). Their customer support suggested I reject the delivery of the rug I had ordered and they will process a refund upon return. Pretty standard stuff, so I did that and ordered the rug I wanted.

All went smoothly and I had the rug within a week of this exchange. Really pleased with the quality of the rug. If I were to ever buy another rug, Benuta would be my first choice.

So so bad

Please get a call centre in the UK, we can't understand the people who answer your phones and we're pretty certain they don't understand us. No slight on them, they're just doing their job but when it comes to energy, we want to be confident that everything said is understood by both parties.

Review of BJS Home Delivery

If this were a review for how well BJS could block pathways…

We ordered a sofa from Made.com and BJS delivered it.

Having had a terrible experience with Furdeco, my standards were pretty low for BJS.

As if competing for the "who delivered it worst" award, BJS found a way to slide beneath that standard (which I swear was an inch from the ground).

When the delivery men turned up, they were unable to find a space to park so stopped in the middle of the road, leaving no space for cars to get past. Now, I am willing to take some blame for this as I was not able to reserve space immediately outside my building and did not inform them beforehand, however, had they driven 20 metres down the road, they would have found ample space.

The sofa was packaged in two boxes. They carried the first box to my flat door but couldn't fit the box through the door and wary of their road blockage, left it there to retrieve the second box. When they returned with the second box, they placed it next to the first, blocking both our flat door and our neighbour's flat door.

They were, of course, in a hurry to get back to their truck, and just as fast as they appeared, they were gone.

Left with two oversized boxes and no solutions from the BJS men, we had no choice but to rip apart the boxes and litter cardboard confetti throughout our communal hallway until we could finagle the sofa through the doorway and free ourselves and the neighbours, which, as it turns out, was surprisingly easy. Shame the people who were paid to do it weren't around to see our mad skills.

Oh well.

We have a nice sofa and a mountain of packaging material occupying half our living room like some piece of modern art.

I would have given them two stars for bringing the boxes to our door, which is more than Furdeco could manage, but there was an awful lot of foul language being spoken in the process so one star for BJS.

Simply useless

TL;DR: Furdeco didn't deliver to our floor, instead, left our sofa outside the front of our building. Delivered the wrong piece of furniture, did not collect the incorrect pieces when they delivered the correct pieces and refused to take the packaging. All despite confirming these details on the phone before coming the day of delivery/collection.

Full story: We ordered an L-shape sofa for our new flat. When the sofa was delivered, we received two chaise lounges instead of one chaise lounge and the sofa part. While this is likely the fault of the furniture company, Furdeco did not check this before or after delivering it. On this occasion, they left it outside our building and refused to deliver it to our flat as they had "not been told" our flat was on the first floor, despite "FIRST FLOOR" being written in our address.

Once my partner and I carried the boxes up to our flat, unpacked them and realised we had two of the same pieces, we contacted the furniture company who arranged for another sofa to be delivered and the incorrect parts to be collected at the same time. Furdeco contacted us to confirm the delivery and collection and on that call, we double-checked that they would be delivering to and collecting from our first floor flat. The day came but instead of getting a visit from our friends at Furdeco, we received a text saying the delivery would not be happening that day due to a "picking error" (whatever that means). A week goes by and after contacting the furniture company again to get them to chase Furdeco, we finally get a delivery date. This time, they deliver the correct pieces to our flat but refuse to collect the two incorrect pieces because, once again, "no one told them" they were collecting. Additionally, they did not take the packaging. After this visit, we were left with four pieces of sofa and more packaging material than Amazon's distribution centre.

In addition to this terrible delivery experience, we were dissatisfied with the quality of the sofa (look out for that review) so we called the furniture company to request it ALL be sent back in exchange for a full refund. Two weeks later and Furdeco is contacting us to confirm the collection. Worried they'd turn up with an unwanted armoire and a "no one told us…" I double, nay, triple confirmed they knew what they were doing on this visit.

Finally, the day comes and I can say the collection was mostly a success (which is at a very low standard at this point). Furdeco managed to take the four pieces of sofa but, in the process, removed significant chunks of plaster from the hallway and, of course: "NO ONE TOLD THEM" TO TAKE THE PACKAGING! At least this company is consistent.

The only reason I gave them one star is because we never have to deal with this company again and there's no way to give them 0 stars.

I don't know who will read this review as most customers don't choose the delivery company when buying furniture, but if you're a business, looking for a delivery company to partner with, choose ANY other delivery company.

Ordered a coffee table, the estimated delivery date was about 3 months out but we anticipated that due to the pandemic. However, our order arrived much earlier than expected. Really pleased with the table, easy enough to put together although the colour is a little darker than expected.

Just joined Virgin Media

Just joined Virgin Media. We went with the quick start option because we’d been told our new place was fibre ready. When the kit arrived, the cable did not connect to any wall port. We contact Virgin Media and they sent out a technician 2 days later who arrived 2 hours after their appointment window. He changed the cable but told us to wait until the following day to connect, the following day came and it still did not work so we contacted Virgin again and they came back and finally connected us. Two days later and we’re back to being disconnected, we won’t have a technician here until Monday afternoon.

Because of this, I cannot connect to the internet to perform my job and have had to cancel important meetings.

I regret choosing Virginmedia and would advise anyone considering them to steer clear, it’s just not worth it.
