I had an extremely disturbing and…

I had an extremely disturbing and annoying experience. The furniture company I bought arranged a collection with Wincarton for a return. I was giving a time slot beforehand as 11:00AM - 01:00 PM. On the day of collection, it changed to 01:30 PM to 03:30 PM. At the time of writing this review, I am still waiting for the driver to arrive. I cannot find the number to talk to customer service but only whatsapp chat. They are really unhelpful. They even told me that they are not late and it is still their time slot. I advised them to do some maths. I was then told that it is just an estimate. What is the point of giving two hours slot if you could not execute it? I thought that it is to help and manage our time better. We all have works to do and cannot adjust our works around their incorrect time slot. Usually it is really annoying that delivery company can get away with all the complaints because some companies still use them as their partners by ignoring the customer feedback. This is a pure logistic mismanagement. If you gave the driver with only realistic number of routes per day, this would not be happened. I can understand unforseen situation but not this much. This is ridiculous. I do hope that Wincarton considers customer feedback and satisfaction over their profit margins with overscheduled routes or may all the companies reconsider their ties with Wincarton.

Delivery duo were fine with contact a few minutes before arrival and they placed the boxes where asked to. I’m only dropping two stars because it is nigh on impossible for someone of my age to open the boxes, move the furniture let alone dispose of the boxes. Please, please, please could you consider offering an assembly and packaging removal Service? I’d willingly pay for this. It might mean fewer drops per day for your crew but I’m convinced you would gain from people paying for a higher Service.

Significant water Damage in Transit

The driver said they left the sofas in the van overnight before delivery. The sofas were then damaged by rusty water inside the van, so they cancelled delivery and provided inadequate pictures for sofa.com. The communication was terrible. Why would any 'premium service' leave valuable goods in van overnight without protection?

Incredible service from the delivery drivers

The two delivery drivers I had went above and beyond to ensure I got my sofa on the day promised. I had stated that I had a tight street and would need a smaller delivery vehicle however for some reason this was not arranged. In spite of this, the drivers went out of their way to ensure I got the sofa managing a tight street expertly and carrying the sofa a long way from the larger vehicle. Then someone parked in front of my gate which they managed no issues at all. Although initially frustrated, I am leaving five stars for the drivers who are an asset to their company and really went above to ensure everything was sorted for me, amazing guys and couldn’t recommend them more!
