Review of Wiser

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Utter waste of money and time

I can’t understand why anyone would waste their money on this.

Recently moved into a home with Wiser thermostats installed on every radiator. So I have to manually connect around 15 radiators to a system. And they all require batteries. They refuse to connect - I have no control over whether they are on or off and have to sleep with the windows open as I can’t turn off the heating - this is so energy inefficient it is unreal. Why anyone would want this over complicated system which patently doesn’t work is beyond me. Don’t waste your money

Refreshingly helpful

I’ve just moved house so had quite a lot of furniture delivered recently but this delivery stood out as the guys were so helpful, careful, and had a can-do attitude. I pointed out a corner that I thought would be hard to navigate, and the guy instantly found a solution. Makes a change from the usual grumbling you get from delivery drivers.

Never again

I usually avoid long distance buses like the plague, but this seemed to be the only option for getting from Ljubljana to Italy so I decided to go as far as Trieste and get the train onward. It was only billed as a 1h20 journey. What’s the worst that could happen, I asked myself. Well what happens is you get stopped at the Italian border for over an hour, the police storm the bus and take your passports, with no indication of when you’ll see the passports again. Zero communication from the bus staff who just used it as a smoking break, meanwhile I miss my onward train and waste a day. So much for Schengen. If they know about these border delays why do they not warn about it anywhere on their website or in emails. They’ve been spamming me telling me that USB sockets and toilets are out of order, but not the way more important thing that I might never get to my destination. While the drivers don’t have control over the overzealous border force they do have control over communication. This is NOT a 1 h 20 journey. Do NOT use this to get from Slovenia to Italy. You will never reach your destination.

Review of BT

BT treats its customers with contempt

BT treats its customers with contempt. The level of incompetence never ceases to amaze me. Their systems aren’t joined up, nobody speaks to each other, it is impossible to get any sense out of them. They constantly pass the buck to Openreach, but do absolutely zero to fix problems. Due to BT’s zero f***s given attitude, I have been without broadband for four days with no indication of when it will be fixed. They sent an engineer this morning. They were supposed to be sending someone from Openreach, but instead they sent someone from BT to check there was genuinely a fault. It blows my mind - nobody would put themselves through the hell of trying to speak to BT unless there was a fault. So now I’m waiting to hear when an Openreach engineer will come. Meanwhile sure to BT’s inefficiency, I’m struggling to work from home hotspotting from my mobile which is costing me a fortune. When I asked about compensation I was told that if I was lucky I might get an automated pro rata refund for the days I’ve been without internet. So about £7.80 then. That’s how much BT value my custom. Unbelievable. And yet also so believable.
