Have been using Sainsburys for over a year as I could never get a delivery slot with Tesco. However, over the last couple of months I have noticed a significant slide in quality of the groceries delivered. This has involved careless packing where tins of tomatoes have been thrown on top of salad stuff, 2 litre bottles of milk or pepsi likewise dumped on top of salad, fruit and bread but the latest trend by them seems to be to try and offload product that is virtually on its sell by/use by date. Yesterday we returned 2 packs of minced beef with only a day left on them, a pack of bacon with only 2 days left on them and almost all of the salad order that was 'elderly' and wrinkled or crushed. Beginning to think that home delivery is not what it was!
