This hosting is now a joke

It was once great, and after the take over this hosting service has became a joke. Load speed is non existent and it will kill your site's SERP. Literally don't host your sites here you will bring on SO MUCH PAIN. The support will not acknowledge this when the truth is literally on any speed test sites. They will simply say: "try this new shining server we updated", or "everyhting loading fine from our end can you show us what you mean"? Really this is to save you grief. I don't usually review like this but I don't want anyone else going through the struggle I had with them. If you are reading reviews for this service, make sure you consider any review from late April 2024 onwards, supposedly a Dallas storm wreak havoc to their data centers... Everything should've been securely backed up right? Oh did I mention that there were multiple occasions where malwares were detected on MULTIPLE servers from them?

I would gave them a negative star if…

I would gave them a negative star if possible. Stay far away. They have been down for over 5 days now and all they say is "we are working on it". Thousands and thousands of dollars lost. They were good before they were bought out now they are the worst.

NOW TRULY RUBBISH!

I rented servers from this company for over 6 years and they were awesome. Then they sold out to World Host Group, who are a complete nightmare. If you are still hosting here, PLEASE PLEASE move as quickly as you can.

This outfit looks like another EIG. They buy out successful smaller hosting companies, and the service immediately starts to suffer.

After the buy out, the first time I put in a support ticket it took them 8 hours to reply, then a further 9 hours to respond to a follow-on question.

This morning the server went down for a total of 9 hours 50 minutes, came back up for 30 mins and now MYSQL is failing so all the sites are down again and have been for another 5 hours. Fortunately we had already migrated all our clients to another server ready for a switch as I could see the decline in service coming. We are just going to have to do that ahead of schedule.

Same old story, a big corporate buys up great smaller companies, then starts making cuts to please their shareholders, increase profit margin and the service goes from excellent to appalling very quickly.

There is a list of all the hosts they acquired, on their site worldhost.group. If you're with any of those, do yourself a favor and move before you have a big issue and lose clients.

*******UPDATE******
Now about 18 hours later and we still cannot access our WHM and the servers are still down they came back online for about an hour but were as slow as hell.

The original excuse was a power outage, here was me thinking all data centers had backup power. Now they claim there are hardware issues. This really is farcical.

Webhostpython isn't what it used to be

I've had a reseller account with Webhostpython for over three years and they were outstanding when they were a FL based private firm, but since they were acquired by World Host Group (parent company is Hostforweb with holdings in England, Wales, Germany and elsewhere) a few months ago they've really gone downhill. As with most companies their "customer service" is outsourced now and they're likely not based in the US because they have trouble with English phrasings, and they couldn't even understand what I was asking. They were being evasive and actually lying to me in a recent exchange. The old company would respond and help with tech things fast, even late at night, but now they're saying they "can't" do this or that, which I know they can.. they just don't want to. I'm greatly disappointed that they were sold because they were the best hosting company I'd ever had.. so now I'm going to resume my search for honesty and integrity in an American Company, not some worldwide conglomerate that doesn't know what customer service is, and doesn't really care.

User friendly and great support

The entire WebHostPython system is user-friendly. Quick response from the help page. I accidentally deleted some critical items. Ivan.T of WHP recovered it and everything is running smoothly again.
