Thank you Eclipse

A big thank you to the Eclipse Team for helping us create our "Dream Bedroom", we are well pleased with the finished project.
Good quality units supplied at a fair price and expertly fitted.
A few minor glitches along the way,something that can happen on any installation but quickly resolved by Debbie in customer services with no fuss or drama.
Special thanks to the Surveyor Tom for resolving a small problem on a pevious Eclipse installed kitchen even though it was installed over 4 years ago and also to Installer Ian who worked with us and went above and beyond what was expected of him.
This is now our 3rd installation carried out by Eclipse (1 kitchen and 2 bedrooms) and we are pleased with both quality and the services provided by Eclipse.

From Planning the Bedroom with Phil who was not pushy and very informative with some great ideas to the delivery driver Barry who couldn’t help enough to finally Ian who is a fitter who did a fantastic job we are so pleased with the bedroom I would not hesitate to recommend eclipse in future ….. well done to all

Quality kitchen, poor customer relations

First up the quality of the kitchen units and fitting is fantastic and have held there quality for years since our initial installation, we wanted extra units fitting and these were of equally high standard. The main issue is the customer service/payments. We would like to think we are honest people who can be trusted and having worked and paid on time previously we would hope that as existing customers this would have been understood. However this time the office were absolutely relentless in chasing payment this was on the day we gave birth to our first child after having eclipse change the original day of fitting at short notice, we was still in the hospital yet was getting call after call every couple of hours for payment as if we was about to leave the country. As previous customers we were expecting a gracious approach from eclipse, this was not the case, it seemed desperate and at a time when we was busy to say the least, the bombardment was unnecessary and undignified, to stop the calls I paid over the phone whilst still in the hospital room. I expected a lot better

Hi Mr. Taylor, firstly congratulations on the birth of your baby wishing you all the best

When the agreed start date was arranged with yourselves and Debbie, it was mentioned you was coming up to or on your due date for the baby which we then offered to push back the start of your project just incase which you was confident that you wanted us to start on this agreed date.

As per our contracts we always have the payment on delivery , when we rang there was no answer and as you can appreciate if we have a fitter ready to go and a driver on site waiting to deliver on a day and time previously agreed its important for us to make sure payment is in so we can deliver the goods. in normal circumstances we would have returned the goods back to our factory and then passed on any additional charges for fitters to come back etc but as a valued and existing customer we decided to let the fitter start and deliver the goods.

i have gone back to our phone records and it shows we rang you 3 times on the day of delivery - 8:43am with no answer (assuming this is when the driver arrived) - 8:47am with no answer which then the decision was made to start - and then finally at 11:40am which we then we found out you was at the hospital and just asked if you could call us when you had the chance.

im sorry you felt that you was 'chased' but this was certainly not the case and i feel this review is unjustified considering we gave you the option of moving the start date and then we had no way of knowing your partner was in labour and we was following the terms of the contract and only rang 3 times and didn't ring again once we knew the situation and waiting until you could ring us.

Kitchen Makeover

Kitchen is now nice and tidy with your makeover new worktops, sink, oven, hob and extractor fan. New electrical consumer unit was also fitted bring home up to date with current legislation.

Fantastic team, fantastic kitchen

The whole experience with Eclipse Kitchens and bedrooms was excellent from the planning, preparation and installation. Such a great quality kitchen made in their own factory with pride. This is my second kitchen from Eclipse and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone thinking about a new kitchen or bedroom. Barry and the team are all great to deal with and the trade people from plasterer, kitchen fitter’s and electrician are superb. Thank you Eclipse team you’ve all been fantastic 😊 Mr and Mrs Dix

We are very happy with our wardrobes…

We are very happy with our wardrobes and had a great experience from start to finish with Eclipse.
Jay in the showroom was incredibly helpful and knowledgable. Debbie in customer service was equally great at every stage. The fitter (Ian) has done an amazing job and we could not be happier. All round great company, really friendly and professional staff and highly recommended.

After previously posting my review of…

After previously posting my review of this kitchen manufacturer whom refused to recognise that a dish washer door was faulty due to water ingress the faults have been repaired, not by Eclipse however.

Whilst this has been done it was also found the kick panels under the cupboards had been cut down and the exposed cut parts left resting on the tiles. This means when mopping the tiles water is being absorbed on the panels causing swelling. The panels should be cut and the exposed edges faced upwards and sealed with varnish.
If you have a kitchen fitted by Exlipse ensure they install the panel correctly as our kitchen has now had several swollen faces with finish lifting.

Excellent service

Even though this was a relativly small job Eclipse provided excellent service from start to finish. They provided exactly what wanted with the minimum fuss and at a reasonable price; the fitter was very professional and cleaned up after himself. I will definitly use Eclipse again.

New home new kitchen

We moved into our new home knowing a new kitchen was high on our agenda.It was old and definitely in need of modernisation!!!! Jay Brown was our design consultant .Jay came to discuss our wish list and to design our kitchen .He utilised the space so well and even incorpe rated a discreet,modern serving hatch as we wanted to keep the existing practical quirky feature.

Jay managed to get us a quick start date and the installation works and schedule went to plan.Any queries were dealt with promptly.

We are so pleased with transformation,as are our friends and family.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend both Jay and Eclipse Kitchens .Brilliant job.!!!

KITCHEN

We had our kitchen revamped in october/november 2023 by changing the work surfaces to quartz. And adding a few new cupboard doors. We dealt with Jay at Eclipse. He is a professional and will guide you through the process and make your ideas come to life. Very efficient service throughout. We are very pleased with it. The original kitchen was purchased by Eclipse a few years ago and as it hadn't dated at all we added extra cupboards and worktops. The quality of their product is excellent. I would return to them time and time again. They also do bedrooms and media walls

Utility/en-suite renovation

We chose Eclipse to undertake a utilty room and en-suite renovation in 2023.
Our initial meeting with Jay, the designer, reassured us that we had chosen the right company. He was knowledgeable /professional and guided us through the whole process from the initial survey to manufacture and fitting. Eclipse offered a wide range of quality products, this was matched by the skill and expertise of the installers who ensured a perfect finish to our projects. We are more than delighted with the result and would highly reccomend Eclipse to anyone.

I purchased a £ 10k kitchen in high…

I purchased a £ 10k kitchen in high gloss grey from Eclispe in 2020 which was then fitted by their approved fitters. Two years after fitting one of the bin drawer fronts cracked on the RH corner, the paint finish opening up. We claimed on Eclipse warranty only to be told we had dropped something on it and had caused the damage ourselves. This is simply not true. We decided to drop this warranty claim but now four years later the same door has the identical damage on the LH corner. In addition, the dishwasher door has started to swell along the leading edge where obviously vapour has got in the joint under the paint work. On this same door the infills are also swelling along with the kick boards under the dish washer. Having taken a further look at these kick boards it seems they have been cut and trimmed down, the underlying wood which is MDF has then been left exposed to moisture.

Eclispe have just confirmed all this damage is our fault, not accepting any claim under warranty at all. To say we are very disappointed in Eclipse is an under statement. I wonder if they get repeat business when they treat customers so poorly and infer that the fault of their supplied kitchen is through something we have done wrong !

My advice therefore is not to purchase a kitchen from this company as they plainly have no intention to honour the warranty that they were so keen to advise was a safe guard when we purchased this kitchen.

Thanks for your further input. We are indeed in receipt of your comments by e mail which we are 100% in total disagreement with. Yopu have simply pre-decided not to honour any warranty with your cupborad doors and infills and fitters work manship and to reply on this review site that we have misued the doors.

How can it be possible to mis use the door infils and kick boards that your fitters fitted ?
Why did they not seal the cut edges that are now exposed to moisture ?
Why did they not fit a vapour barrier to the dish washer door ?
Why have you not in your reply below stated all the reasons in your full formal reply to my warranty claim ? In your reply you state our mis use is opening the dishwasher door ? Really ? Apart from this dishwasher door opens automatically how else do you expect us to empty a dish washer ?
In your formal reply you have stated kettle vapour can also damage your kitchen doors ? We have not even made a claim for any door due to kettle vapour.
The dish washer door is therefore not fit for purpose.
You finally then state if we give Eclipse another 9 k you will supply us doors FOC but we have to pay for the fitting ?
Eclipse kitchens have no intention to support the customer with after care only to lay blame for so called misuse.
Appalling support and I will be voicing my dissatisfaction on other social media sites.
Your order reference is PS4816 dated 10th February 2020 which I am including because it seems you have requested this from trust pilot in an effort to have my review removed.

Leanne here from Eclipse.
I have no clue about what's happened with your project but if you want to give me a call I would be more than happy to look into it and personally come and visit the damages.
We have been going over 30 years and we pride ourselves on our high quality furniture and great customer service and this shows in our recommendations and repeat customers that we do our job right.
We do offer a 12 month guarantee on our FITTING which we clearly shows on our contracts on sign up, but we always make sure we conduct a site visit on the few issues we do get to determine if there is a manufacturing fault. it does sound like we have been out to access and have concluded that the damages was down to 'misuse' rather than an issue with the product or the fitting and this does seem like it was accepted by yourselves, and now its happened in the same place might confirm our initial report -not to mention your issue was raised OUT of the warranty period , but we still came out to access anyway
Nerveless, please give me a call if you want me to conduct another site visit to investigate the cause of your problems and we can see what we can do.
Even if we do find that it was down to misuse we always work with the customer to work out a solution we never and will never leave a customer without any options.
I sincerely hope you do give me a call as I would personally like to come and see the damages.

I am still at the office and would be more than happy to come and visit whatever time suits you if you want to give me a call to arrange

UPDATE: Hi Mark , to confirm I have looked at your issues and yes, they are down to misuse of your kitchen. its determined that you are opening your dishwasher door when its not finished and steam is causing condensation and running down the door- we KNOW this because there are water drop stains on the bottom of your door.
I have sent you an email which I explained fully about why this has happened and why this ISNT a warranty or manufacturing issue but down to customer misuse. I have offered you a replacement at a COST price but because you are also in discussions with the sales team on your bedroom furniture I offered I will replace FOC if you go ahead as a gesture of good will.

I dont see there is much more I can do and while your in discussions with our sales team on more furniture I believe this review is quite unjustified.

From the design team to completion of our kitchen, Eclipse were fantastic. Everyone involved was professional and friendly. Our new kitchen is absolutely FABULOUS, and we love it.

Great service from Eclipse

Great service from Eclipse start to finish, Jay planned the office and bedroom to meet what I wanted and not what was easiest and we managed to tweek the plans to meet my budget. They are not the cheapest on the market but I believe you get what you pay for and having used them before for our main bedroom I knew the product quality was worth it. The fitters were brilliant and Chris kept me updated everyday, they cracked on from the minute they arrived until leaving and they left the rooms clean and tidy each evening. I would have no hesitation in using them again.

Dissapointing service

Sales Process - Sales guy wasnt to pushy. Not the cheapest quote we had (middle to higher price) but nice showroom with good examples of work made me feel confident we had chosen the correct supplier.

Installation - The installation of a simple L shaped wardrobe dressing table and bed side draws should of taken 2 days. It was eventually signed off 15 days later. Missing and damged wardrobe doors, incorrectly alligned wardrobe doors, half of the units siloconed half not, damage to the freshly decorated room. left full of saw dust not cleaned down after installation messy engineer leaving tools around the house where my 9 and 4 year old where playing.

Snagging - To be fair eclipse sent a different engineer who put things right and we are happy with the end result. We just found it very painful getting there.

hi Adam, Leanne here - I came out to see you after you raised some concerns on the project. thank you for you feedback we take on board all of your comments and work to improve going forward.
although I know its not a terrible review its a happy medium I do think its right to note though that due to a fitter hurting his back on a job before yours caused us to either (a) push back your job or (b) send in someone to do the job as and when - you opted for us to send in someone to keep your date which we did and with this one of our fitters Mark kindly offered to fit your project in the evenings AFTER he has already done a days work fitting someone else's project - so yes in hindsight we should have pushed back your job until a fitter could commit his full days to you but we did this thinking this was the right thing to do at the time for you which you agreed. as you can appreciate when fitting a project there are tools laying around and at 8pm in the evening i know its difficult to keep young children away from the area but it is a workplace when fitters are there - he cant keeping taking his tools in and out of the property as this would have taken a lot longer! i must also add that when i came to visit your property it was in the same week that Mark had finished and Ian had already been back to tweak for you so the job was complete - what took the time was i ordered you a replacement mirror because you ordered a grey mirror but once fitted you wanted a silver mirror which i kindly offered as a gesture of good will to re order FREE for you for the inconvenience of Mark coming in the evenings. so the mirror lead time is what took your project to 15 days later (the lead time on mirror is 10-14 days)

Bedroom fitting by Eclipse

Excellent service from Eclipse. This the 2nd time we have had worked carried out by them, and we highly recommend them.
We had a bedroom wardrobe fitted a few years ago and have recently had some doors replaced in both spare bedrooms.
The fitters are very professional. Would definitely use them again
