Awful staff at Claire’s trinity. When I asked for their names they hid behind GDPR! pathetical quality of earings. 3 out of 6 packets were damaged. Don’t bother!
Scammers posed as Claire’s
My daughter and I went to the Claire’s inside Westgate Mall in Spartanburg, SC about 2 weeks ago. We purchased 3 necklace/earring/bracelet sets for an upcoming pageant. We weren’t completely satisfied with any of the 3, but pageant date was closing in on me, and I had to have some jewelry. But I intended to continue to search other stores for that “perfect piece” that would complement the dress. The total was $80 and some change. I paid with cash. At the time of purchase, I asked the manager about their return policy due to my continued search. She stated, “ Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase for the exact currency used at checkout.” She also told me that she would have to be the one to complete my return since I paid with cash. Receipt is necessary for all returns. She said to just call the store to ensure her presence if returned. I ended up purchasing the set she wore in pageant at JCP. I live about 25 miles from mall location and it’s not on my daily route or near it. I called the store for 3 days in a row. No one ever answered. OnThursday Feb 2, 2023, at 3:30 pm the manager finally answered when I called to ensure she would be there to make the return. She informed me that she would be leaving at 5pm. She said she remembered the purchase and her having to complete the possible return due to payment method being cash. I rushed around and walked into Claire’s at 4:55pm. I was unwelcomed by the rudest retail associate I have ever dealt with. With attitude fully engaged she exclaimed the manager was not there. “She had to make a “run”. She told me you were coming!” Then she picks up the phone calling the manager and says,” She is here!” Rude lady then proceeds to tell me I’m basically SOL cause they haven’t taken in $80 in cash sales that day. Telling me I will just have to come back another day. I let her know that was not going to work for me since I called in advance and announced my arrival time. I had my receipt, only 1 week after purchase date and all items were unused just as the day of purchase. To make a long poor customer service experience concise; the result was the manager finally returning to the store and putting my refund on one of my debit cards for me. I agreed to this currency form due to the avoidance of even more time and resources being wasted if I had to return to the store another day for my cash refund. It’s Sat Feb 4 and refund is still showing pending in my account. 24hrs is the extent of such transactions posting in the past in that account. I called the store today. You guessed it. No one answered. I will never under any circumstances purchase anything from this company or it’s affiliates. These are the type of people allowed to run and manage their chain of stores. I will not be a supporter of scam artists.

I have never had such bad customer service. A $20 water bottle for my granddaughter at Christmas was cracked and they will not replace it because of their 60 day return policy but they are going by the date I ordered it not received it. Bad bad customer service. Will never buy anything from them again. Awful

Went to ilford Claire’s today for my 2 years little girl ear piercing . The First Lady stuff was very good and helpful. I asked her to make a vedio then I can make a memory. Cos I ve seen so many others peoples making vedio in Claire . But Unfortunately the 2nd senior stuff she stopped me to make vedio . Let me tell u my baby was bit uncomfortable nd crying nd I think it’s as usual normal like others. Now May I know what is the real policy?? I was very unhappy 😞. It could be a better day for us . But their service ok 👍.

The only reason i left 1 star is because a 0 was not an option . My wife asked the employee if they could pierce our daughters ears today to which this unnamed employee replied with a smirk ,pointed at the sign and said nothing .We already read the sign , the reason we asked was it has happened before that the employee was not trained to pierce so we asked and were given a smirk and no response to which my wife replied "your being rude " and explained why she asked . The employees attitude elevated as she finally spoke and told us "its on the sign " by this time my wife was done with the whole scenario and ready to leave ,so we did . I was not at all satisfied with this exchange so I turned around and asked " who is the manager ,I would like to speak with them " her response was "I am " so I asked her name ,and was told "don't worry about it " !!!!!!! Really ? This is what customer service has became in your stores ????? I have an 8 year old daughter who had finally made her decision about getting her ears pierced, and she chose Claire's because she loves your store ,well she did before today . We will never shop at your store again ! This was a pitiful display of blatant attitude and the worst customer experience i and my family have EVER had ! Truly shocked and ashamed . So in conclusion , at 2:50 pm 1/22/2023 in Lancaster SC at Claire's located in WAL-MART this employee who refused to tell me who she was ,representing the Claire's brand is responsible for you losing a family of customers for life ! Not only did she insult my wife and I ,she changed the mind of a child that loved going to Claire's to now as I write this stated " she was so rude and nasty I can't believe they let her work there " .....it's sad ,very sad that a pivotal moment in a young woman's life was marked by one employees terrible attitude toward a customer that simply asked a question ....isn't answering questions part of customer service anymore ? Great follow up to ear piercing
After having my ears pierced and waiting the required time, I wanted to put my own diamond studs in. I couldn’t get them in, so I went back to Claire’s. LouAnn at Colonial Park Mall was so helpful and was able to get my earrings in. Thank you, Lou Ann

Really rude & miserable manager at the Folkestone branch!! After spending a considerable amount of money in store, one item needed returning. She was really rude & sarcastic. Clearly needs more customer service skills. I was tempted to ask for a full refund on everything! It's overpriced in there anyway.
Worst piercer ever
We had a terrible piercer and she pierced my 5 year olds ear very unevenly. I dont even want to talk about anything else.

Back-and-forth emails and 1 month to get my money back into my account for an order cancelled on their end.
I would leave 0 stars if possible and despite the affordable prices, would not recommend shopping there to anyone.
Guaranteed Christmas Eve delivery - delivered 12/30
Ordered items for Christmas, which showed (and I screenshot the guarantee too) "7 of 7 items GUARANTEED DELIVERY BY DEC 24TH" yet I'm just getting my order today. So yeah 'I AM NOT HAPPY' for a number of reasons:
1. I had to purchase some of the gifts elsewhere in order to have the gift for Christmas
2. I have no need nor use for the items now (either Christmas themed, had to purchase elsewhere or had to get a different gift altogether so I had a gift in time for Christmas).
3. I have been out the money this entire time & will be until I am able to return my order, which in turn cost me more money yet to repurchase the items elsewhere so I had gifts for Christmas.
PLUS NOW I HAVE TO EXPOSE MYSELF & MY KIDS HEALTH TO TAKE THE ITEMS BACK NOW (and of course that will cost me even more money just in fuel to return my order).
This is unreal in itself but not a word from customer service whatsoever... Maybe an email with compassion for the inconvenience, maybe as a courtesy to be prepared or so I could appropriately prepare for the missing gifts, maybe any attempt to make it right or lessen the burden this far. NOPE though! I even reached out to their customer service yesterday (kindly but annoyed & frustrated) and the reply I received was "the order is out for delivery today" period, that is all. Not another single word. Today btw is the 30th and I NEVER would have ordered whatsoever had my items not been guaranteed for Christmas!

Absolutely diabolical
Absolutely diabolical. Ordered online through the ‘Irish site’. All of the items had loads in stock.
Placed the order. Easy.
They look my money. Easy.
Got confirmation email. Easy.
Got a dispatched email with tracking. Well, half tracking. Couldn’t get the courier’s tracker… even after trying every day for a three weeks.
No sign of my package. I just thought as it’s December, it’s more than likely really busy. No panic.
Then got an email asking me to rate my purchase. I knew then something wasn’t right.
Tired to call customer service…. On hold for someone to pickup for 45 mins, so I gave up.
Emailed stating my query, got an email back two days later saying my package ‘must be now lost’. They couldn’t trace it.
Ahhhh. It’s my daughter’s birthday in two weeks and I ordered over a month in advance.
They said that I’ll be refunded (I can’t see it being that easy) as they can’t resend orders out again because they’ve moved warehouses ???
Definitely avoid ordering on line.
Horrible Customer Service
I received a set of nose rings and a cuff earring for Christmas last week from a friend. Her first question was if they are not right, can she exchange them? She was told that I could. Neither package was the correct gauge. I went yesterday to exchange them. Neither pack had been opened. The associate in Granite Falls, NC told me I couldn't exchange body jewelry. She told me that maybe a manager in a different location could do something. I called Hickory, NC and was told by a manager no returns on body jewelry. I called the Boone, NC store and was told by a manager I could not exchange them. Today I called their corporate office. The lady told me there was confusion to the return policy. That yes, they can expect returns that are unopened. After being told that I couldn't exchange them, I opened them last night to see if they would work in any piercing I have. The lady with corporate office told me that since I opened them then there was nothing they could do. I responded that I called 3 different stores and I was told I couldn't exchange them. I thought I was stuck with them. Why not open them??? She said I should have called this number that I was talking to her at. Why would I do that after I had called 3 different stores? The reason I called today was to tell them they needed to make sure their associates were giving people the correct information. Being that they could not exchange body jewelry. This was a complete joke. Corporate office all the way down to associates. I will never again do business with Claire's and I will make sure to post this review any where possible. This was ridiculous that no one knows what policy is.

Never order online from Claire's if you are located in EU. They charged you double 21% VAT and stated a much higher invoice value on the parcels.

Delivery, missing & damaged
I recently made an order for half of it to be cancelled even though it was in stock when I ordered, then when my ordered arrived half of it was broken and 1 item missing, can’t get through on the phone, have emailed! So made another order got a ‘dispatched’ email so thought all was ok this time only to receive an email the following day saying half of my order is cancelled again! Absolutely disgusting. My daughter also had a Claire’s party in July and that was the most boring party.. 1 person did face painting while the rest of the kids had to keep there selfs occupied running around the shop! I went to 2 Claire’s parties previously & they were great! Claire’s has definitely lost me as a customer, Which is a shame as my girls love to shop in there. Overpriced & a waste of time!

Made another order here, cause the last one went great :) and this time again a good experience! Took a little longer for it to arrive, but that's probably because of the holidays. Again the packaging could be better, this time nothing was damaged luckily. But they should really improve on packaging. Also tracking doesn't always update properly and it doesn't say when it will arrive.. they could really improve on that too.

Irish online customers being charged customs
Beware shopping online from Claire's in Ireland as you will be charged customs. I went to the shop in Killarney, Ireland and they didn't have what I wanted and told me to order online. I ordered 2 backpacks and it came to €60, I waited for 2 weeks and heard nothing. Today I got an email from the DPD looking for €27 for customs. I won't be buying anything in there again
Took orders for goods not in stock
Tried to order an item from website, upon making payment received a message on screen saying ‘basket empty’ tried two more times then gave up, only to find they had taken payment 3 times. Emaied immediately to cancel and tried to call customer service which is pointless because no-one answers and it rings off after 15 minutes. Then got emailed reply saying goods had been prepared for despatch and too late to cancel. Was advised to reject two of the three when delivery attempted and they would find their way back to Claire’s for refund. This in itself sounds dodgy.
Curiously, later got 3 emails each saying item was out of stock and I would be refunded. In fact the money never actually left my account so no damage done there. They should not be selling goods which are known to be out of stock and they certainly should not send replies which are known to be untrue. First and last time I shall use them, awful service.
