Check Your Receipt!! They cheat!
Used to be the only store I shopped at for Big & Tall, but their pricing has become so dishonest, I can't trust them anymore. They offer merchandise at sale price, but at checkout discount disappears. You insert coupon code and the "regular" price inflates, so even with the coupon the cost goes up further. Same in store: I bought a bag of Jelly beans at checkout that were marked 50% off - but no price. Looking at receipt I see I was charged $25 for the bag (receipt said reg price was $75!!!)

Although their products are okay with reasonable prices, I had a negative experience with online shopping and call customer service.
Don't go to JCPenny
I went shopping at JCPenny at Ashland, KY, for the first time and after I was done, a clerk at the registry told me she can save me %16 if I sign for REWARDS CARD. I agreed , but I missed the red flag - when she requested my SSN. She lied to me and it turned out it is very common problem at JCPenny. At the end, she handed me a temporary CREDIT CAD. I was shocked and asked what the yearly fee is. She said she does not know. Really?? I plan to file a complain at BBB

Ordered a chair from them a month ago. Not delivered, o delivery date. I use the chat feature and they tell me to call. When I call they submit an escalation but provide no update. No clue when or if I will receive what I ordered. Very sketchy company, don’t know what happened to them

Heads up when ordering online through their website. If you need to make any changes, you have to call within 30 minutes—after that, they won’t modify or cancel your order, which honestly seems crazy nowadays.
I ran into an issue because my old address showed up in the email confirmation. At checkout, it didn’t appear, and when I used Apple Pay, all my info popped in automatically. I assumed it would grab my current address. When I tested the checkout, it said to choose ship to home or store (normally an address would pop up), and on the next page, I realized you have to click “edit” to see and confirm all address details. That part was on me for missing it, but the process felt odd and confusing.
Customer service told me I need to wait for the tracking number, create a UPS My Choice account (there’s a fee), and try to change it there—with no guarantee it would work. Last option: Filing a dispute, but I was hoping to avoid that. I was frustrated, but now I understand how their system works and their policies—never again.

So I’ve had account with this company for a long time I paid my entire balance before it was due meaning there is not balance I received an alert letting me know that even though my card has a zero balance they wanted to charge me am interested charge on a zero balance they didn’t care they I have been a credit card holder for over 5 years I cancelled my card customer service representative didn’t even try to keep me as a customer what a piece of crap company stay away from them they are a scam worse credit card company ever zero stats I world not recommend at all

They are not correct. I had a very bad experience with them. They added me two late fees in one month plus interest. I finally realized that their system is purely compared to a scam and I immediately stopped and canceled their card. I advise you to either use other cards or pay cash at JCPenney than to be exploited by the individuals hidden behind the so-called system. Take other paths guys!!!

Placed an order and after the order was placed I received a coupon on the same pair of jeans that I could have saved $9.99. Customer service would not apply the coupon or even give me a store credit. Makes me want to shop elsewhere. Very unsatisfied with company and customer service.

I was a major Macy's shopper in NYC, until I moved to Delaware. There I fell in love with the Christiana mall and JC Penney! The jewelry is great and the prices are great, especially the sales. Moved to NC and woopy, a JC Penney, right in town at the local mall! I am a very satisfied customer!

Terrible customer service on line. Why has JCP started making so many Credit Card charges. Especially a paper statement charge. As a Senior Citizen, we do not do all bills and banking online. Not convenient, too costly. Apparently time to cancel card after 20+ years.

Customer NO Support
Evidently my old address from 5 years ago was still listed as a delivery address. My fault. I am a long time JCP customer. Once I realized my error, I called JCP for the other package that was in transit since UPS told me JCP had to call to make a delivery address change. JCP said they wouldn't contact them. I explained I also worked in customer service for a global company and customers make mistakes, we fix them. All they said was that they shipped it to the address that they were told to. I get that. I was asking for help and I know full well this change can be made.
