I had trouble with my chain rubbing against the derailleur at the weekend and wandered into the Fulham store hoping the mechanic would just be able to tweak the settings. It turned out that my diagnosis was wide of the mark and a plastic bit of the derailleur had broken off. I then had visions of having to leave my bike there for a couple of days! Luckily the spare part was in stock and he fixed it there and then. It took 10 minutes tops - super efficient!

Good items to purchase in store, customer service not great at all. Wanted to replace the tape on my handlebars, so worker at the store told me to email and they’ll order them in and I can pop in to get them fitted. Simple enough. So I email and they say it’s fine about the tape and to bring my bike in on the Wednesday morning. I bring it in, and nothing in the system about me coming in and no tape. So have to rebook for the Saturday, and go back home. Waste of a journey and time. This time I ordered the tape in store as apparently you can’t do it via email. I get them to confirm they’ll be able to do it on the Saturday, and they say yes. Come in on the saturday and they say the bike will be ready on monday or tuesday. It’s a small job that should take 30 minutes at max? Why do they need 3/4 days? Honestly ridiculous, just full of excuses on why they can’t do it. They then say oh come in the following Saturday we should be able to do it then. Key word should. No guarantee they’ll do it, I would probably come in for the third time and they’ll say oh yeah sorry we’re all busy it will take a few days to get to it. Why take bookings when you can’t stick to the time? If I book my car in for an MOT or service they do it the same day, they don’t say to me oh come back in 3/4 days for it. Avoid this shop. Maybe other branches are better. Just come for accessories but not a service.
Solid work, was a bit expensive this time… changed out a few things they changed out last time I think, which is always a bit sus. But they’re good guys, timely and the quality of work is solid.

He asked for brake service plus new brakes back and front ... price a bit more than expected and we only go fix front brake.
I’ve had friends purchase from balfes, it’s close to me in Fulham so thought I’d give it ago. I was super impressed with Luke and Cormac, so thank you for sharing your knowledge, making the purchasing of the bike straight forward and getting everything setup super quickly.
I took the TCR for a test ride and said to myself nah I don’t need di2’s, next minute i said I’ll take the bike. The front disk brakes have been squeaky and I mentioned this to the workshop, they took a look complimentary (which was a nice gesture) but they are still squeaky under braking so will bring back for another check.
One point of feedback if we are being pedantic is someone whose never used electric gears before; I had left the store with the bike then realised I have no idea there is an app, how to check battery… etc Something super minor but maybe just note that in your user setup/handover.
Overall very impressed and look forward to them looking after the bike with years to come.

I recently purchased a Trek Domane SL6 from the Balfes Bikes Fulham store and had a very positive experience overall. There were a couple of issues with scratches on the frame when I came to collect the bike, but the team were very helpful in resolving this quickly and professionally, which I really appreciated.
Oscar, in particular, was outstanding throughout the whole process. He supported me with a test ride, explained all of my options clearly, set the bike up tubeless, and made sure everything was tailored to my needs. His knowledge and guidance made the decision much easier, and I always felt like my questions and requirements were taken seriously.
Darren from the customer services team was also really helpful in ironing out the issues, keeping me updated and ensuring everything was handled smoothly.
The store can be very busy, so there may be a bit of a wait before being seen, but when you do speak to someone you get excellent, knowledgeable service that really makes a difference.
Overall, I’m very happy with my experience and would definitely recommend Balfes Bikes to anyone looking for expert advice and great customer service when buying a bike.

A pleasure dealing with the guys in the Fulham store. My beloved Brompton was returned to me, after her annual service, looking like new. She runs as sweetly as new. As good as Brompton Junction Covent Garden who serviced her last year, lower cost, and no waiting list. Really happy and will return.
