This printer has never worked properly and I have never been able print wirelessly. I have tried everything to rectify this to no avail. I also have not been able to find any customer support numbers and this printer MA2000w does not even come up on any list of printers on their website. If I could rate it zero, I would. Complete garbage.

Good hardware, bad bad bad software

I bought a Kyocera Ecosys M5521cdw in the hope that this will be an economic solution to our household printing needs, after disappointments with larger printer vendors. Sure enough, the printing was OK, toner prices reasonable. There was one memory corruption problem with which I got help from support.

Then, after some time (and printer no longer in support) the printer stopped responding to remote LAN print requests. I am network engineer for 25 years, so I know a bit about protocols and how to install stuff to solve things DIY. But this one is also one of those things that is made just not to work no matter what. Firmware cannot be reset to factory default. USB stick firmware reinstall won't work. NOWHERE in menu to do a factory reset. The printer is pingable, but it won't do anything remotely, so we're confined to using it by USB stick PDF prints and that's it.
Kyocera is now added to my terrible disappointment lists.

Can I go less than 1 star for their drivers

Can I go less than 1 star. For real their drivers suck. We are constantly clearing errored print jobs and no amount of driver updates keep them working right in our 6 system office. The printer it's self is fine but the drivers are hot garbage running on our windows 11 systems.

Worst printer company I've dealt with in my decades of experience

I've worked in IT for a little over 20 years, and I've come to just try and help by warning people away from a product that the company does not support, maintain, or have reliable documentation for.

Let me give you an example of what it is like:
- product webpage (printer IP) does not work because they didn't keep up with updates
- Calling them for help, will yield nothing because support does not have training to help
- If it happens to be something they can help with, they'll likely fail due to my first point (product updates) so they will then laugh on the phone with you and go, yeah we've been having a lot of peoplems.

Essentially their product doesn't work (I'm speaking of printers) because they don't update the software which means even their own support people can't help because when things break, it's just a compatibility issue. It would be like having an app where the company never updates it.

Kyocera warrenty will not be honored

I bought my 2nd kyocera phone Feb, 2024. It began heating up almost immediately after purchase but it resolved quickly and was infrequent so I didnt think about it much. In the last two months It began heating up more frequently until it acutally started burning my ear and hand. I took this to the vendor that sold it to me and they contacted kyocera regarding the problem and provided proof of my purchase and the two year warrenty.
The agent Maurio, acted as if honoring the warrenty came out of his own pocket. Finally they decided to send me a new backplate for the phone, but it did not come with a battery. The vendor looked at the original battery and thought it looked swollen. that battery was installed in the new back plate and the phone was put back together and my info transferred. I took the phone and went to my place of business, set the phone down and within minutes it was hot again. It was not charging. It was sitting on a cool counter. I took it to the vendor who verified this and spoke to Kyocera agent. This agent once again was very obstructive . I sent the original back plate back Friday August 23. August 28 Mauio called and apologised for the problem and stated that the company would be sending me a new phone I was to send the TWO back plates back. I questioned this because I had sent the first original backplate back, had the replacement on my phone and couldnt send it until I had my replacement phone. He seemed very confused by this and kept insisting that I send both back. Kyocera had already recieved the first original backplate. I did not have a shipping bag for the replacement nor did I have a working phone sent to me. As of today i have recieved another backplate, No battery which they say is an accessory, and Would not recommed a kyocera phone to anyone.

Equipment is junk.

I have been teaching for 18 years and have used many brands of copiers. However, since taking a job with a new school 6 years ago, I have had to use Kyocera copiers, and I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed with their equipment. There is one clear fact-- our kyrocera copiers are always down, and I'm not exaggerating. To make matters worse, when we have an issue they rarely come right away, and teachers are left fending for themselves to scramble getting copies made. Their equipment always breaks, and their service is horrible. If you're in administration, and shopping for copiers, DO NOT make the mistake of choosing Kyocera.

Unfortunately...

Unfortunately, Kyoceras attempt to rectify a bad situation has failed. They sent me a replacement phone after a software update was forced upon me and the phone went bananas. Now, after yet another forced software update, my phone is unstable and will crash. The camera is not accessible anymore, either.
I hear Apple makes some glitch free phones. I will look into that.

Waste of money

The printer never worked properly, and the customer service never managed to fix the repeated issues we've had. The printer is slow, paper gets constantly jammed in the drum, and some bright pink lines appears from time to time in random parts of the pages. Highly non recommended, it's a waste of money.

Poor customer service help.

Claims live chat is open if available on the screen. They will only direct you to their customer service phone number and not help via the chat. They have this chat available after hours but they will not pick up after hours on their number. Poor customer service.

The biggest waste of money

The biggest waste of money. Kyocera ecosys printer only has problems. Hardware seems fine but software doesn’t work. Just doesn’t work. Straight up. Had to install and try out seven different softwares from other companies. Finally got one of them to work but one day later just stopped working. When there is an error there is no error code to look up. There is no manual. No tech support. Biggest printer scam they should make a Netflix documentary on this bs.

Kyocera Printers poor quality

I have used Kyocera Printers for 20 years. We have 23 laser printers mostly P2040DN but the quality has deteriorated substantially. We are getting only 20K light pages and the fusers go bad. The cost of repair is as great as a new printer. The last two we purchased were faulty new out of the box. We threw out 4 printers last week with about 20K on the clock. The cost to the business is unjustified. Repair agents tend to agree that we are wasting our time with these. The lack of Kyocera involvement in responding to the adverse comments is consistent with their general disinterest in their customers.

Just bought a new Kyocera ECOSYS…

Just bought a new Kyocera ECOSYS MA2100cwfx.
It seemed to have good online ratings, but 3 hours later after multiple set up issues it eventually printed out three pages and now has a persistent error telling me to use the Multi Purpose tray and not the proper A4 cassette they supply that is loaded correctly with paper.
It seems they have been having these issues with MP tray alerts for years with other models.

Their website refers you to a 'manual' but there is none - only a 'Quick start guide' that has no narrative and just images that are no help at all.

Very poor customer support from the manufacturer available and its definitely going back in the box - should have stuck with HP or Xerox!!!

kyocera laser printer rubbish

I have bought a kycorea laser printer. (ecosys p5021cdw) I have printed out 600 pages out of with I only wanted 50 pages. I cannot print more than one page at a time as it jams then reprints all the documents so if you are printing 25 pages it jams then reprints all the pages again and again this unit is absolutely junk . avoid
