I went into harvey norman yesterday with my 23 year old son to buy headphones as he is going travelling - no sooner did we start looking than a staff member came over to offer help - i said no thanks we are just looking - he remained and started telling us about the various headphones - I said we are good thanks and he continued to talk. I walked away and and the man continued to push until my son said OK ill get these ones. We already knew the ones he was likely buying when we arrived. He then escorted my son to the til. I asked did they sell adapters for austrailia- he immediately grabbed an adaptor - gave us no time to look or decide or see the price and he wrote a 4 digit number on the box of the adapter and the headphones and walked away. I am assuming this is some code that ensures he gets credit for the sale. I felt rushed, pushed and frazzled by the time we left. It was a really unpleasant shopping experience. I can understand wanting commission to boost your sales but genuinely I wanted him to back off. I wish I had left the items behind but we just wanted to get out. And the adapter was 35 euro when I have now seen similar for 10 euro in other shops. I take the blame for allowing the sales person to be so pushy but I won't go in here again. This was the Kinsale Road Harvey Norman in Cork.

I did contactless click and collect as my baby was napping in car and was delighted with the idea. However I waited over half an hour and no one came. There wa no contact number. I eventually googled and rang the bedding area. The man was very helpful and professional and sorted someone to come out which I really appreciated. But overall the experience of the contactless click and collect was very poor.

My delivery arrived early during the morning by two very polite , friendly men. They were fast and efficient. They removed my old washing machine, plumbed in my new one, took my old one away with all the packaging.
I'm very happy with everything.

Very vast delivery and helpful personnel

Ordered a couple of items online for collection at Kinsale Road.
Went to the counter with the huge big red neon click and collect sign.
The two guys sitting under it told me not to take any notice of that sign and go find somebody in the tv department to help me .
I did and he found my order .
Maybe take the sign down or at least switch it off to save people queuing.
Price was right and goods are good quality

I had ordered a laptop from the clearance section online thinking I’d got a great deal. A day later I got an email saying the laptop was actually gone and I’ll get a refund.

Can understand if the item got snapped up but it wasn’t updated on the website so I’ve just wasted a bunch of time. Needed a new laptop urgently too for college. At least I was notified quickly.

If you’re buying clearance online and need the item fairly soon you might have to call to check I guess

I’m absolutely stunned at how quick the delivery was. My partner broke his headphones on the train at 7am and that hour I ordered the same ones off the website for delivery and literally the next day there it was.. wow!! Fast!

Still waiting for my dishwasher 3 weeks later. We had to cancel our initial installation, dishwasher was scheduled to come the following week, spoke to advisor on phone and there was no problem for us to change date to later week, however it did not come, rang HN, they said they work send the out next week, took day off work for installation, got text saying it was due to arrive but it did not, rang numerous times, their response is that there are no more of that model in the country- why sell it to us then ???

I had to do a return for a gas hob, ive had this onboxed for weeks, and fitted to kitchen waiting for plumber to hook it up. Turns out it was LPG and not natural gas. The apliances team took the unit back no questions for a re-stocking fee. I felt trusted and it was nice to have this go so smoothly, the manager Raymond did everything I wanted no questions. Will continue my relationship with HN.

Bought tv on line 55inch was very happy with it..

Ordered click and collect and after money was taken and I got email to collect, I was told online orders were not working when I was at the counter to collect. Staff could not find the online guy.... had to wait until someone else could help me... harvey norman once again never fails to disappoint.

I collected my purchase last Friday. The staff were very helpful and took my purchase to my car. Couldn't have asked for more.

Headphones were delivered in a timely efficient manner. Packaging was very safe and secure. Overall great experience

Myself and my husband were in Harvey Norman’s tonight at the Kinsale Road Roundabout in Cork looking to buy a 2 seater and 4 seater couch and I have to commend the sales assistant who I believe was called Renato. He was so lovely and helpful and patient. My husband doesn’t finish work until late and the store closes at 8 and we felt terrible we were delaying him and he was just so patient and didn’t rush us or push us either. We came away after having bought the couches and were really so happy with their service. Thank you Renato 😊

Purchased a Dyson hairdryer just a week ago and was told if needed a refund is possible. I was very unhappy with the hairdryer as it truly is noting special, just a glorified hairdryer. Upon returning to Harvey Norman expecting to get a refund I was told this is not possible as the box has been opened. I packaged everything back perfectly as it was and only used it once. I was told there where still a hair in it but when I asked to see the “hair” they weren’t able to show me. If you open the box you won’t get a refund. If you order from online you’ll get a refund even when opened. Bizarre behaviour because if you get a product you are going to use it. Extremely rude staff and just arrogant behaviour. Will never return and actively tell people to avoid going here.
