Literally the worst place to buy electrics. Please go ANYWHERE ELSE! Currys for example. The staff are horrible and incredibly unhelpful.

Bought a Samsung Galaxy S22 mobile phone from Harvey Norman Kinsale Road Cork, The micrphone stopped working while the phone was still under warranty.
I returned to the store but was told because there was light scratching on the phone that the warranty was void, I tried to explain that this had nothing to do with a faulty microphone but the store employee wasn't interested.
Different story when you are purchasing, they are all over you being nice.
Have spent housands over the years in Harvey Normans but this is one customer that won't be back

We just want to thank the manager Dave in Kinsale Road. Had to bring back something to return as there was an issue with it. Dave was very helpful and accommodating. Explained what happened and was given an exchange even though it had been a few months since we had bought it. He was very pleasant, courteous and respectful. We appreciated his kindness and help. On June 18th we handed in our Panasonic camcorder for repair as it would not turn on. The man on the desk informed us and I quote "if it can't be repaired within 2 weeks you will have a replacement or credit note for the store". We were happy with this as we use it regularly and didn't want to be without it for long. I had to phone the store 2 weeks later for an update. We were told it's still in getting repaired and someone will call us with an update. No one did.
Week 4 (15/7/25), we phoned again. Spoke with a manager who informed us that what we were told day 1 about the replacement or credit note wasn't in fact true and we would have to wait for the repair team to come back with a response, I asked could the repair team be contacted for an update. We were told yes and someone would come back to us. Again, this didn't happen.
Week 7 (August 7th), I phoned again and spoke to another manager, he agreed that this whole process was appalling and he was going straight down to ring the repair team and he would phone us back the same day. I explained my disappointment as we had been told this before. He promised we would hear back from him. And we did. He informed us that repair team have admitted it can't be fixed and a replacement would be issued.
Week 8, (August 16th),I have had to phone the store again as we still do not have a replacement or any idea as to when we will have one. We were told the replacement is coming from Panasonic and they haven't issued it yet.
I want to be very clear. I am absolutely outraged at the service you are offering. We will never be purchasing from your store again. If this were Amazon we would have had a replacement within the week. 8 weeks we are without our product now and none the wiser as to when we will have a replacement. The communication from the staff, aside from the one manager who came to me, has been shocking.

Uninformed shop workers, listening section complete mess, stuff advertised on website not available at shop... And they told me they are closing when I tried to setup other stuff to listen to it.
Also absolute spiderweb of cables behind, nothing organised... They can't even connect speakers to amplifier cortectly

Great value... online showed as in stock at Kinsale Road store, so ordered two tv's to collect same day. Paid online, then waited two hours but heard nothing about collection so called the store only to be told not in stock, and had to go to Little Island Store, 20 minutes extra drive after first 30 minute drive. Arrived at next store and told at click and collect desk to go to tv desk, where there was no-one on duty. Eventually trached someone down who told me I had to drive to back of industrial area and ring the bell. After that finally found someone and collected about 15 minutes later. Whole afternoon gone. Staff were v helpful but chaotic management and organisation !
