About Crosstown
Written by the company

Crosstown is an award-winning scratch bakery. We roll our dough by hand.
We make all of our jams, compotes, fillings, glazes and toppings in-house, fresh every day, using the finest ingredients we can find to deliver real, honest flavour.
It’s a lot of extra work, but we believe the results speak for themselves.
Quality should never be compromised no matter the quantity, although both can exist at the same time.
We think our doughnuts pair perfectly to specialty coffee, which is why we serve them together where we can.

Aggressive and rude team at Battersea Power Station
I am disappointed with the staff at the Battersea Power Station branch. They spent most of their time on their phones, and the seating area was messy. When my friend and I approached one of the staff members to order doughnuts, she initially ignored us. We greeted her, but she did not respond. When I suggested to my friend that she might not have heard us, the staff member responded with an attitude, repeatedly asking, "What did you say?" in an aggressive tone, as if she were trying to start a conflict. She refused to make eye contact and answered us curtly, turning her back as she finished her sentences. Meanwhile, her colleague was on her phone the entire time.
I really enjoy Crosstown, and at other locations like King's Cross and Spitalfields, the employees are friendly, welcoming, and engaging. I understand that long days can be tough, but it shouldn't be too much to ask for staff to avoid being aggressive towards customers, to refrain from being on their phones, and to keep the seating area tidy so customers don't have to sit at tables piled with trash. At least the barista did a decent job (there were three of them, 2 girls and 1 guy). I do not recommend visiting Crosstown at Battersea Power Station. This unfolded yesterday (Sat 23/11/24) around 7 pm.
I'm done with Crosstown
I'm done with Crosstown. They used to be great, but now £6 for a donut that has shrunk in size, and flavours that bear no resemblance to the name. And stopping the PB&J??? Why?? Only to offer a mini version for £3.25, which is about 1/3 of the original size. You guys are taking the P1$$.
Poor customer service, not what we expected
We got married in August 2024 and purchased a doughnut tower for 80 guests with delivery, set-up and bags for our guests. The ordering process was straightforward but we believed the menu design was very basic and for the price we paid, they should've been the ones to print. However, this wasn't our major issue, there were many to follow...
1. on the day of the wedding the delivery driver tried to deliver before the arranged time
2. The driver then said he was not setting up, though this was stated on all communications and most importantly our invoice.
3. Upon arrival we showed the driver our invoice, he agreed to set-up as if he were doing us a favour but then realised the items had not been given to him, so he was unable to do so.
4. We made contact with customer service and all social media channels on the day, as we still had time for someone to deliver the stand and other materials but nobody helped us, we even told them we were willing to collect.
5. we had a response from customer service stating that someone will be in touch but nobody ever was.
I did not expect such awful behaviour from a company that is meant to be reputable. Even after our wedding, nobody had been in touch to check if the issue had been resolved. We were meant to have an amazing doughnut tower display and it was abysmal. This was our wedding day, our tower was meant to be a stunning showcase but it was far from that. I will never buy another Crosstown doughnut, the poorest customer service we have ever received. This caused us such a stressful start to our BIG day and our wedding ended up starting late as we were trying to troubleshoot. This was meant to be such a straightforward process but it was awful.

Putrid and stale !!!
My son ordered a box of vegan doughnuts for my birthday. I was immediately disappointed to find that 2 of the 6 were not vegan at all. I was even more disappointed to realise that the remaining doughnuts were stale and the fillings were rancid. The strawberry puree in the matcha and strawberry was actually fermenting. The filling in the peanut and banana tasted like solvents and the whole box went in the bin. I have asked for a full refund. Absolutely horrendous!

Doughnut wedding tower
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Daisie and team for the doughnuts at our wedding! They were a huge success as people quite literally stormed to them after we had the first one and opened it up for everyone to have some. We then took off for a few sunset photos and when we came back there were literally only a handful left, with people raving about them.

RUINED OUR WEDDING
We ordered doughnuts for wedding on the 29th of May and everything was paid by 1st July.
Today, the day of our wedding, the doughnuts never showed up.
After spending hours back and forth on email, as crosstown isn’t bothered to provide a real phone number, they sent the below - heartless message. Now we have no doughnuts with 2 hours to go to the reception.
Darcie has since left and it seems that this order was not processed.
I have spoken to Daisy and I am sorry to say that we are unable to fulfil this request now.
Daisy will contact you Monday and arrange a full refund.
Again, I sincerely apologise for this error and understand that this is not the outcome you would expect today.
DO NOT USE Crosstown - Doughnuts, Ice Cream, Cookies & Coffee. STAY AWAY

Great doughnuts no tower
Great, tasty doughnuts but service is poor.
We wanted a doughnut tower for our wedding because they look amazing! We needed 60 so I contacted about a quote. It took a while to get responses and at times was hard to get through but was told because of software problems.
Eventually we were happy with the quote and decided to go ahead with the order but when we started confirming the order we were quoted nearly double the amount of the original quote!? I cancelled it and decided to see if I could get it for the original quote. So instead I ordered a 5 tier tower with additional doughnuts to collect from a store nearest to me. This came in at the cost of the original quote. I arranged for a friend to collect on our wedding day. Our friend collected and received the doughnuts but no tower!
Thankfully the wedding venue was able to create a beautiful display without the tower. But it was disappointing as I had paid and ordered a 5 tier tower and not just boxes of doughnuts. But everyone enjoyed eating the delicious doughnuts!

Error upon error and still no donuts
Ran out of stock of the beer in the order, informed me 3 days before delivery, arranged a replacement for the same day, said they couldn’t send that order now and then arranged for the next day to be delivered even though I wanted it for an anniversary present and they never even arrived!! Paid nearly £60 for something that didn’t even bother turning up after all of the errors made. Still trying to get a refund. Do not order from these cowboys.

Crosstown provided the doughnuts for our wedding
Crosstown provided the doughnuts for our wedding and I can't recommend them highly enough. The communication was excellent from start to finish and the event tracking system was really easy to use and very helpful.
But most importantly the doughnuts were amazing and everyone loved them, even though, as the groom and groom, we never got to try them....but that's the way weddings go so I've been told haha :)
So we just want to say thank you so much x

Excellent Wedding Desert Option
We had a crosstown tower for our wedding desert and we've not stopped getting compliments about it. It's the only thing we ran out of on the day. Even more popular than the champagne!
It's an especially good option to get a variety of options for people and can be vegan/allergy friendly for some people.
