Vile company
Vile company. I paid for a ticket, but I used my registration, not my girlfriends' car that I was driving. I appealed IMMEDIATELY. Then NOTHING. Then a final reminder. And a claim they denied my appeal. I received NO email. They're basically criminals.
Despicable company
Despicable company. This type of parking fine should be banned. Look at their companies house records. Huge profits for people’s misfortune. I was 5 minutes over my stay and charged £60. There was a huge queue in the toy shop so had to wait. Criminal behaviour that should be stopped. How do the owners sleep at night? Total scumbags.
Car park robber
Their machines should always be fully functional, they should never offer the option to pay by card, as what appears to be a fully legitimate means of payment, results in non payment and a subsequent fine. Added to the painstaking aggravation, they reject any form of appeal.

Unfortunately I can not give a zero for this company. There machine did not work in Travelodge hotel in Romford. I was advised by Travelodge to press the customer service button to get a discount but nobody responded so I had to pay the full charge. I was going to appeal but they make the process as difficult as possible with no email address just a phone number with answerphone message saying I had to appeal this by post. I have decided not to appeal as would cost me even more money. I will be avoiding their car parks in the future and staying at hotels with these car parks attached.
Tried appeal a fine
Tried appeal a fine. They didn’t reply so long close (few days) to the pay early reduction. I paid the fine. Then they replied to saying, as I paid I excepted I was liable. The closest the appeal. Company are totally trash make peoples lives a misery.
Absolute garbage.
Absolute garbage.
10 minutes late for parking after a walk and some lunch out.
£100 for being 10 minutes late back to a car park that was almost empty and not like people were waiting to park up.
You can absolutely not get through to a person to talk to them about the fine, you are passed around a circus of options to press and not one of them puts you through to someone to speak to. You can appeal by email eventually and they do look at it for you. The lack of personal interaction is garbage. This is purely to make money from people as the condition of the car park was very poor...pot holes and half a large rocky/ gravel area.
Be very careful with this company indeed.
Unbelievable- someone needs to report to watchdog!
Unbelievable- someone needs to go watchdog or report this private car parking company - who are so difficult to contact can only via appeal and after one appeal that’s it they say it’s ended and threaten you will pay more if go ombudsman or pass to debt collectors. A bullish and ruthless approach and no consideration of poor signage or markings. I have photos of unclear marking and they only photo they show is a zoomed in photo of one particular where u can just a bout see line. Unbelievable!

Change the parking regulations at west quay without putting up big signs on entry, if you're going to make changes then you have to advertise that on entry for people to see. All you've done is change the signs by the pay machines.
I used that car park with my disabled son and used his badge so was free parking before the new rule. It's only because we heard other people moaning about having to pay that we checked the signs, now ended up with 2 parking charges because you can't notify people properly.
Absolute joke of a company
They are scammers
I went to west wittering beach, i was told by the stewards that i can pay online at westwitteringbeach.co.uk and theres no parking machines since its ANPR, enter my reg and pay for parking there. i go onto the website and my reg doesnt appear, done it every single day and still nothing. I then get a PCN through the post saying i didnt pay for parking... well durr i wasnt able to
i made an appeal exactly from what i was told and they tell me i should of paid on a parking machine on exit... my dash cam does not show any parking machine
turns out the website they send people to pay for parking doesnt even work, and as a parking company they have their own legit website that they dont want customers to see, so they have been doing this for a while and trapping people into paying PCN charges when its clearly Britannia the scammers

Hi hope this company goes bust and they go under never make a a penny again sad disgusting company
Falsely accused of parking violations
I received a parking fine for a violation of Ts and Cs for parking on level 1 (max stay 90mins). My car never parked on level 1 but you have to pass through level 1 to get to the other levels. The ANPR system clearly hasn't worked properly. Yet despite providing evidence of payment and providing confirmation of parking on a different level it still implies with the letter received that I was at fault and breached the Ts and Cs. The funny thing is I actually paid for two parking tickets during this visit as I'd paid for one under the incorrect number plate! I'm very disappointed with the poor level of service I have received
Oh my goodness
Oh my goodness! On reading all these reviews I have no chance of getting my parking ticket overturned. Usual scenario, the payment machine was out of order and I looked for alternative ways to pay but didn't see any. Britannia said I could have paid via the internet and dismissed my appeal. That's fine I will pay the £60 but will never use the carpark again which is owned by a charity who are always desperate for donations! They should ask Britannia who are raking it in £££.
Appeal your case!
Terms not clearly displayed in contravention of BPA practices. Successfully appealed my case - eat it Britannia!
Appeal your case and don't pay them. Even if you lose your appeal, push it to court - worst case is you'll end up paying slightly more than the £100. The most likely outcome is they won't show up anyway or the judge rules in your favour.
I don't really know how the owners of these companies sleep at night - many people cannot afford such punitive fines.
In any case, I win - you lose Britannia!
Rip off company
Always pay my parking, however on this occasion the machine was out of order and I did not have a phone so could not pay via phone either. I was on a job for 2 hours then left. On appeL they clearly did not read my appeal as informed me I could have paid via phone. Total rip off company who clearly have no interest in their own appeal process and dont care what you have to say
Company fine was excessive
Company fine was excessive. 13 minutes over for a 6 hour ticket (£8,50)
No warning issued until I was away on Holiday. Hence reduced fine not available.
No way to contact them to speak.
Resultant fine £100
I rented a flat in the property where…
I rented a flat in the property where britannia parking is managing the private parking for. My nr plate was registered with them by the landlord but they issued me a ticket. Will they want me to pay for every day I lived in here even if this is the car park dedicated exclusively for tenants of this property? They even sent me the ticket to the address I live in so they know I am qualified to park here.
Britannia has responded with a positive…
Britannia has responded with a positive outcome to the issue I had so well done and 4 Stars well-earned.
One mark deducted as their letter did imply that I was "continuing to breach terms and conditions" which isn't true and is perhaps just not worded very well.

Parked in Spires car park Barnet
Parked in Spires car park in Barnet. Paid correct parking charge when I left. Two weeks later received a penalty notice saying I hadn't paid the parking charge. Fortunately I had my credit card statement with the transaction showing that I had in fact paid. Be warned. Take a photo of the machine when you pay showing the payment. How many people just pay up to these crooks?
If I could leave zero stars I would
If I could leave zero stars I would. Absolutely appalling company. Stayed in one of their car parks for 2 hours and went to multiple of their payment machines of which none were working although we tried many times. Then get a fine for £100 which I contested and explained both me and my daughter tried multiple times to which I got a response "dont believe you" and the next thing I know the fine is £170! Disgusting company
Britannia Parking
Britannia Parking, DCBL & DCB Legal — a predatory conveyor belt
All it takes is a quick stop, confusing terms or a disputed notice and you’re in the system. Britannia fires off the “charge”, then you’re passed to DCBL (yes, the Can’t Pay? We’ll Take It Away! TV outfit) and on to DCB Legal—same machine, different letterheads—engineered (in my view) to confuse, intimidate and grind people down. My credit score fell 176 points the day a CCJ landed. Channel 5 has even been found by the courts to have breached privacy over the show—turning hardship into entertainment speaks volumes.
Practical tip: use TrustOnline to see the CCJ date/court/case no. If you discover a CCJ, pay in full within one calendar month and submit Form N443 with proof to the issuing court (often the Civil National Business Centre) to have it removed; pay later and you can mark it Satisfied.
