Review of SAP Concur

Feel the matrix..

I spent 8 hours on my first expenses so far, plus an hour from an accountant and it's still not ready for submission. I can accept that IT bods are smart but can't communicate, but I am baffled why my company wants to waste time like this (if I need more than a basic tutorial, you failed in your software: we are talking about a receipt, a date, a number and a reason).

IT not brilliant, support good

System works once you are up and running, although any mistake on booking driving-days results in the pin being blamed for the issue. Software behind it is a bit ropey but actual people support has tended to be good.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service and convenient location of outlets. On occasion a product can be too cheaply made and therefore break quickly or perform badly: you get what you pay for. Overall, after more than 20 years of custom, they provide good value and a wide range of materials and tools. Keeping all purchases on the database means that Screwfix can advise what you bought before and helps the salespeople to extend good service for regular clients.

Review of UPS UK

Be the last to know about a delivery!

Customer service seems to be the last thing on the mind of UPS. Timing of delivery is absent, delivery options ignored, and at some point, it seems to have been delivered. 'Proof' of delivery lacks any form of evidence. How can an American company completely ignore customer service? Complete lack of satisfaction due to badly designed interactions with the receiver.

Review of Microsoft Support

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Unavailable customer service

I have two outlook accounts and switching between them shows serious security errors in MS programming. The outlook accounts are owned by separate, independent, organisations. Trying to raise the issue with Microsoft Support, but this is just a fancy front page to redirect you to the company IT department who signed up for MS Joke. The problem here is that this exceptionally low level of support infects the rest of the service industry. It's what you get with a monopoly I guess.

Review of NCP National Car Parks

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Around the bend

Outdated website that starts your search off in the Southern uplands of Scotland (!??). Legitimate car parks (Like Cambridge Station Car Park) "can not be found" when prebooking: it could be that the car park is full, but that's not what the website responds with. Akin to IT experience from the late '90s.

A game of 2 halves

It's hard to fault Google search, maps or translate, which are very helpful. However, searches lead to information being combined in a way that prevents any form of trust, and the Chat function on my android has prevented me from effectively texting for over a year, not being clear why my texts were not being delivered. Now I know, I have removed all Chat functionality and regard it as the pits. Top tip for the IT department: if you change or add something to simple systems, why don't you alert and educate your customers?

Made in Cheap, landfilled in the UK

Nice looking LED floodlights but PIR very small and breaks easily. Warranty 12 months, but only lasts avg 14 months on multiple units (4). Socially Responsible Production means not aiming for the lowest price and having to produce substandard equipment.

Review of Caffè Nero

Meeting the customer's needs in Leeds

Good coffee, a familiar set of baristas serving at various locations with a smile and great service. This company does a decent coffee. Corporate tax structure still seems to be unethical, as virtually no UK corporation tax on UK profits appears to be paid: 2 stars removed for that aspect. I wonder if they applied for furlough...

Talk to your customers!!

DX are expensive and do not have a decent app to communicate with their customers on delivery. Weekend delivery is not available, so that creates problems for people with a day job. Falls in the category "you only had one job..."

Review of Virgin Media

Push unwanted advertising down your throat!

Virgin Media have my mobile number to let me know what's happening to my broadband service. Unfortunately they do this retrospective, so my meetings get interrupted first and later I learn why. Thanks, Virgin. Next Virgin decides to text me about coffee from Greggs. Unwanted advertising and if I want that to stop I have to pay to send a 'NO' text! Unacceptable, Virgin.

Review of Xero

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Shocking lack of customer support

Software must be reasonable given the rating (I wouldn't know), but when things don't work, Xero 'help'desk seems to have been employed to just send self-help sheets. Since my credentials have been mismatched, none of this helps, which exposes the shocking lack of personal support by Xero. 16 months of pay to Xero, more than 16 emails and requests from me and the accountant and I have seen 1 business related screen once. Thank you and good bye.

Review of Who Gives A Crap

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Unusable paper

Manufacturing & recycling process results in paper that disintegrates upon use, due to the short fibres. Nice and soft, but poo-fingers result unless you fold the paper and fold it again before use, so you will use a lot of it. Also, short fibres will detach from the paper and stick to any moist surface, so you'll end up with little fibre pellets instead. I like the idea, but it needs to be manufactured in the country of use, and it must meet basic specifications.

Sorry to hear your experience with our TP has been less than delightful, Paul.

If you're new to sustainable TP, there is definitely a difference in "feel" compared to a brand that uses virgin fibres. The recycled paper we use has been recycled multiple times before its revived into its final life as recycled toilet paper. This means that the fibres we're working with are worn and not as strong as a brand new fibre you'd get from a tree. With this being said, we do our best to make our recycled TP still very soft and strong.

We have tried to reach out to you for further information about your order. If you prefer, can you please email us at wedo@whogivesacrap.org as we do offer 100% money back on all our products.

Substandard tracking

Parcel delivery tracking seems limited to "by the end of the day" which compares poorly with DPD,DHL's offering of BOTH giving a 1 hour timeslot and real time tracking of the delivery driver.

Physical delivery is professional, but it seems that the company has forgotten about the recipients of the parcels. By the way, there is some sort of app, which requires registering with quite a bit of admin. Maybe more detail is hidden in available, consuming more time than should be needed for a delivery.

Review of Continental Tires

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Good product, bad support

I recently bought bicycle inner tubes, packaged in a small box. Neither the tire nor the box indicated the pressure range that Continental recommend. Given that tire and pressure generally go together, Continental had one job to ensure customer satisfaction....
Other than that, Continental provided a QR code to watch fitting instructions, which take the user to the corporate website for continental: no instruction in sight. Keine vorsprung hier, leiter...

Review of mailbox

Good and clunky

Good: The mail service is good on the computer, and intuitive with folder set up and handy extra multiple email addresses you can send from.
Clunky: Using the same on my mobile feels like using a computer in 1995: I often get a reset while writing an email, or it decides to throw me out altogether back to login page (swiping seems to do that!).
Overall: I trust it, and can work around the weaknesses, and the cost is just about acceptable. If they could figure out how to make work a bit smoother, they could have a fabulous product.

Review of Blackwells.co.uk

My favourite bookshop

Warm, friendly atmosphere in the shops. Helpful staff in store. I did have a problem with a purchase, and it did take some time to find an aftersales service person to look into it properly. Once that happened, all went smoothly and Blackwells made every effort to create a satisfactory outcome. Many thanks!

Review of NatWest

How long?

Business account needed an extra signatory. Several staff at Natwest confirmed that it can take longer than 3 weeks 'because of things like complications'.
Unfortunately, Natwest have mastered the customer distancing techniques online and for call centres, so unless you know the exact word for the department you need to speak with, you could be given the run around.
