Going round and round the roundabouts

After 15 minutes study of the pick up options for Terminal 1, I still ended up doing several circles on the airport roundabouts with 2 other cars. Website information for pick-up fails to mention that there are 2 (TWO) multistory carparks at T1. At least they do offer the (rip-off) pricing at the roundabout exits, which is why people keep driving in circles. Really unpleasant experience. Easiest for pick up is T1&station parking which gives you 30 minutes for £6. What happens after 30 minutes is not clear and may include a hefty increase similar to the drop off £25?

Exceeds in-shop / disappointing online support

Fantastic service from the advisor in the blinds and curtains section in the Leeds store. Very helpful, knowledgeable and generous, taking time to allow me to make a decision. Good stock of blinds at competitive prices. Pity they are made in China but made from natural (non plastic) materials where possible: 2 out of 4 roller blinds were incomplete and required dealing with JL online, which is a bad experience and costs the customer money as JL charge for cust service phone calls. I expected better from JL in aftersales.

Poor order management

Ordered 2 boards 10 days ago. First the order was lost, then it was confirmed after several days via email query. Osprey clearly did not anticipate the covid pingdemic and could not handle comms or timely order delivery. On the upside, the order did arrive 12 days after paying, so only 2 days over their stated max delivery time.

Tardy, but redeemed by great customer service in shop

Very tardy response to order of tent, claiming up to 10 days for delivery. Call centre staff cannot deal with this and talk in very vague terms. Blacks' computer system doesn't provide call handlers with clear information as was evident from the call we made. Having said that, once things did start to move, the order was complete and a visit to Blacks for something else was a success. This edited note is therefore a positive update of an initial poor online service.

Great customer support

Great performance is where a company turns a problem into an opportunity to shine. Topstiles Shipley branch sold me a poor epoxy grout (not to their knowledge), came to the house to inspect the problem and reported back to the best of their ability, and refunded the purchase. Uncertainty reigns.

Fedex were unable to offer a clear date of delivery, causing me to first reserve one day and then another. Equally frustrating, at no point as a delivery time offered to narrow my presence at the delivery point down to a reasonable period of the day. Delivery was made without verifying I was even there: just left in the porch and van was off. At least they delivered. This 'service' is way behind the entire competition.

Post Office - forgotten their service agreement?

The Post Office is using Covid as a scapegoat, making a lot of elderly people queue for the limited opening hours. The reason provided is that this local branch is not profitable enough to provide a full service. Is the taxpayer paying for furloughed PO staff at the same time?

I am sorry that you encountered an issue with this product, we do train all our staff on the products that we sell. However sadly the item that you purchased is from a manufacturer that we stopped dealing with some time ago. As a result our knowledge was not quite as good as we would normally expect.
However I can see that we have asked for images / videos to fully understand the problem as the brief description you gave wasn't quite enough for us to seek further technical advice.
if you can get those to us we will certainly do our best to get the information required.

Ridiculously fizzy punk AF

I love a good UK company providing staple foods, and the taste is not bad. My main beef is that the 4th can of Punk AF opened in the same way as I saw my family open the first 3: beer everywhere and a quick reaction to guide most of it into a glass. The can had been sitting still for weeks and was not shaken before opening. Must do better, Brewdog.

Better delivered by bicycle?

Parcel picked up from seller in Neu-Elm (DE) and after 3 days it's still in Aschaffenburg (DE) 167 miles down the road. We admire the clarity on the website which shows the lack of progress in minute detail, but that's 56 miles per day: we can cycle faster. On a more entertaining note, it did remind me of Tom Hanks in the Moscow scene of Castaway.

3 purchases, all OK

I puchased 1 MS operating system, 1 MS office student version and 1 MS office. I'm pretty poor at software and frankly hate the stuff, so every purchase was a separate gamble. I did have 2 new computers so started from nothing. Fairsoft provides you immediately with the license key, which is the only thing that matters really. For the low price compared to new software you have to expect a little work. Upload doesn't always work, but I got 2 out of 3 to work with a little very basic trial and error. The 3rd I managed to upload by going onto the MS website and upload the software from MS after confirming my license key. Fairsoft also responds quickly when I emailed a query, so I felt supported. Overall I can't fault the product or the price.

No refund, not honest!
We booked a car with Goldcar via Rental Cars. We paid a large fuel deposit at the Goldcar desk. Contract with full insurance and zero excess. Returned the car after 4 days with less than 300km on the clock, and a full tank nxt to airport at Torrelano. We will refund they said... Nothing, nada returned. Our economy rental cost us an extra €105... Gracias Goldcar.

No refund - not honest!

We booked a car through rental cars, who set up an agreement with Goldcar. Full insurance: zero excess and returned the car with very few miles on the clock and filled up nxt to airport in Torrelano. All OK they said.. we'll return the deposit they said... Nothing coming back. People in the phone speak only Spanish suddenly...

Don't believe what you read.

I ordered a tray which appeared to be in stock; a week later it turned out it wasn't, and I could cancel my order or wait 3 more weeks. It did arrive after 3 weeks. The website shows very exact measurements for the shower tray (JT), to 0.5mm. The drain point on the tray has variations up to 3mm, so the drain doesn't fit. No real aftercare by Tapsempire.
