Do not buy from this company

The Hotter boots arrived but not what I wanted so I returned them. This was acknowledged . I was also told a refund had been issued to PayPal. It has now been over a week and PayPal have not received any cash. DBZ say PayPal are being slow. This is nonsense as they are quick to refund.
I wish I had read these reviews before making my purchase.
Having read the reply no acknowledgment that PayPal still haven’t received the money.,In fact totally bland.

Waiting for refund. Now paid

The suitcase came in perfect order but was too big. I contacted the company and they arranged a very efficient pick up by another company maybe Yodel who arrived with a labelbut I have since heard nothing about a refund. There is no phone number to speak to anyone and I can’t find my order number. I am not sure about the order date as info has vanished from my I pad.
I am pleased to say that after exchanging a few emails I have now been fully refunded.

Cancelled membership

I didn’t like all the wines so cancelled my membership which they have acknowledged but this morning they have taken £25 from my bank account. I am glad to say it has now been refunded.

Two lots of wasted postage…

The trainers were a bit slow in coming and sadly were too narrow.
I must stop buying on line for Cotton Traders as I am now two amounts of postage out of pocket. Thank you Caroline . I am trying to find a store near me as I do like your clothes.

A covert to coach travel.

After a totally disastrous long tedious journey on Avanti to Coventry from Euston due to a derailment . It took three and a half hours instead of one, I kept checking my return journey on the Sunday. The website appeared to say there would be disruption until 4.00. As my train was at 12.00 . I decided to get a National Express coach to Heathrow. I live near there. The journey was faultless . The driver was really pleasant and thoughtful. In future I will catch the coach when I visit my son.

Let the buyer beware

I have enjoyed having this app but believed I had only signed up for a year. To my horror , without telling me it was due. they took over £60 from my account today.,They say I should have known. !!!
National Trust and RHS are on a rolling membership but they let me know in advance so I have a chance to cancel. I found out because I happened to look in my account. I don’t want to renew but they are refusing to reimburse me . I have been offered a voucher which I do not want. There is a 20 day offer to cancel but they are not allowing me to have this. My opinion has gone from very good to zero.
Just seen the reply !!! As I didn’t know when the renewal date was I didn’t have a chance to cancel. They are absolutely ruthless.
I am pleased to say they know now how unreasonable they have been and my £65 has been refunded. I hope they will follow my advice and warn in advance that payment is due.

Having made several very satisfactory purchases from this company I was distressed to receive a plant in poor condition amongst a group of healthy plants. I wrote and told them and included a photograph only to be told it was fine . It patently isn’t They are refusing me a refund.

First time buying and definitely the last.

I ordered 3 plants with an average of £9each.They arrived and are so tiny they hardly exist. They are all pot with a tiny bit of green on the top of each. If I had seen them at a garden centre I wouldn’t have looked at them twice. I dare not put them in the ground as they will be eaten/or die straight away.
I had bought on line as I have two fractured bones in my spine and haven’t been able to get to my local garden centres.I have someone coming to garden for me this week. .,Disappointed is too small a word.
Reply to Emily . Then you should say they are dormant on your website and how you can justify the cost of about £9 each I do not know.
I have been told to return them gift refund but as I can’t get to the shops due to my broken back bones problems that doesn’t work. I have asked for a partial refund but that has been refused.

Horrified by charges.

Just before we were to pay we were informed our trip to Lake Como had been cancelled. It was for a legitimate reason, we were offered the previous week and after much thought accepted it.
However while I was on holiday in February a chair gave way with me on it and I have broken a bone in my back. It will take up to four months to heal.
We then decided to ask if we could transfer the booking to the following year. We have used Newmarket several times.
The person I spoke to was very understanding but rang today to say there would be costs of over £300:each PLUS we would lose 50% each of what we had already paid, That brings it up to £1000 each.
I have appealed but kept our present booking in the hope my back heals. At the moment I am in great pain and can hardly walk.
I don.t understand how this amount can be justified.
This afternoon I was rung again and an offer of cancelling the payments but still losing the £650. I have asked if that can be reversed. The £340 is not unreasonable. I have to say Sian who is dealing with us has done more than. She is truly lovely.
Update we have now been offered a booking for next year but will have to pay £700 each more. So that is a no. Sian has done more than and has been a 🌟.,
Response to Jill below. You are already giving the dates for next year with an almost identical week. So there shouldn’t be a difficulty booking us.
I will only use the insurance now if I can.t go and I have no wish to book with you again after this intransigence.
I am disappointed ,as your holidays in the past have been amazing.

In accordance with our Booking Conditions, it is a fee of 50% to cancel your booking at this stage. Unfortunately it's quite difficult to try to transfer to next year as the flights are not available to book at this time and your current flights are booked on a non refundable basis, which means that we cannot simply transfer payment from one season to the next.

You may wish to consider making an insurance claim to mitigate your losses and then you can re-book for next year at a time when you know you will be fit and well.
