Hats off to Halfords

First time for a mot and full service. Though I didn’t know I could get Halfords to collect and drop back. I’ve always found the team in Halfords Stafford really helpful. For advice too. There was an issue at completing the service but they sorted this out in super quick time and reassured us it was fine. It’s been good. I have ramen my Land Rover to the main dealers during the warranty period - Halfords had better customer care and update than the dealer did.

I’d use again

Only reason for not 5* was the car was dropped at 8.30am and not ready till 4.30pm

Lady Bailey fob off on Warranty

Of your a novice and never had a caravan think twice and do your own research before using this outlet .. they provide the sales pitch and happy to take 24k and them fail to tell you the documents they have are not what you will need to transfer warranty. They tell you we have our warranty but fail to inform the buyer the Previous owner doesn’t appear to have stuck to the guidelines for a service and the warranty useless unless I can can locate the update the claim would be worthless . If your not bothered about being conned enjoy your experience and Bailey vans are great ..

The next stage for me is now seeking legal advice, as with any purchase make sure you use a credit card should you have to use the section 75 of the credit card

I’ve never met such nice people who wave you in and wave you off and then are (it’s not my job when you have to check something. It’s a shame there a few places who let the side down)

Despite the nice calls telling me what I need to do there is no acknowledgment that they have responsibly in provided a butter with factual information and to proved them with the correct documents and supply them at the time of the sale - a year on I’m provided with documents I’ve never had abs knowledge that the van wanst sold new it was sold to a few people before arriving with Lady Bailey

I don’t often give such low stars the star I’ve given is for the older lady who works in the sales area on the till .. she’s lovely and was very helpful ..

Regards a proud owner of a Baily van (which I’m glad I have but wouldn’t use this company at all). Take someone with you. I wish I had done ✅

I found this insurance company and as…

I found this insurance company and as its underwritten by Aviva I was amazed with the cost of the policy for a caravan. I thought it was too good to be true but it’s real so purchased the policy.

The second attempt I found a static lodge in wales on a farm based on the side of all about 300 ft above sea level while the post code maybe road side the site isn’t.

That’s a Shame they don’t consider location and factors but seek to base risk on postcode only.

Insurance elsewhere has been offered and it’s likely my caravan insurance will be moved too

Not the best nav

Has to be the worst sat nav I’ve ever had. Have a Land Rover car. And caravan and thought I’d buy this to help navigate the roads.

The sat nav locked out so the screen froze. Then traveled the car was upside down. Then we ended up being plotted against nearby roads and not the motorway we were on. Missed the turning for where we should have been (it plotted us in an estate ). 6 mile detour we spun about and used google mobile

Not sure I can recommend for the issues we’ve had. I’ll see if the tracking gets better the more it’s used. But I doubt it will

Thank you for the review. Have you contacted our tech department? All the issues you describe point towards a GPS problem. Either a problem with the GPS antenna itself or something interfering with the GPS. That won't rectify itself or improve with further use, and the sat nav will not work without an accurate GPS signal. Great product great service

After 10 long yrs for the right house we bought our 375. I didn’t have a clue and nee build with limited access the whole process was really faultless. The only issue lost covid was a slight delay but we got there. Crane ordered, electric sorted. Ground sorted snd even the installers have OCD.. 100 % set up .. had a couple of after care questions which were sorted quickly.

Great company.

I did visit a couple but one couldn’t be bothered to come and advise on access and the other didn’t know who to advise for electrics

All this and no pressure

Miller nightmare poor customer service

The experience continues 15month on

(If you look at my picture this is how ‘snagging is done’

Gas leak sorted
Main bedroom ripped up and bodged back down - still creaks

Second bedroom confirmed more Moro I cracking so the whole floor needs lifting again

Mould behind units in kitchen

Broken kitchen units sill outstanding

Utility flooded and no fixed but told the units will need replacing (we will hear nothing as usual)


Cracks appearing in the feminine of the main bedroom (so wish I could add photos). I bought a new house to relax. Had we wanted a renovation o could have got far better property and dealt h with the impact of trades

Miller are really really poor at following up on issues. They send a trade. They report back and it’s all quiet. Your told you’ll hear from miller and nothing

My experience of buying from a really nice agent was all great. We’re all best friends when spending 400k and you get your keys. Then that’s it..

You only need to look at the 50% 37% neg comments to show how bad this company is .. the houses are really nice. The follow up is what massively let’s this company down … you have to put someone on charge of customer care who understands what customer care is.. not an ex builder with their own views on how to build a house. Someone who understands how to go above an beyond and get work done. Someone who keeps in touch with clients to inform them. Miller are totally usually useless

And all this will say is please let us know and we’re sorry to her your views. If we can help we will rar rar.. well.. when I’ve spoke to two directors and get no where who else is left?

The building regularly body are the only ones who understands and even then it’s lip service

0% customer service

Miller homes 5* Builders with 0 care for its clients. If you are looking to buy a Miller home. Beware. The amount of issues from water leaks. I’ll fitted boilers.

Central heating plumbed wrong ..

a gas leak…. Micro cracking.

Mould growth.

Bathroom sinks moving. ..

shrunk carpets. Ill fitted floors. Doors locks to outer doors

And the list continues. Be aware. Over a year in the works are not done. We have been left with a bomb site. Had j wanted a renovation project I would have bought one

And no one at Miller takes responsibility. I’ve had two directors saying I’ll sort it and here we are still loads of issues not done

Inform the glamorous online insta account and all they say it's it’s not our issue. Go to the customer care. Which needs changing to we don’t care

I’ve never come across a company who shouts 5star as a huge selling point and can’t meet any… I’ll show you some of my issues if I could. See the picture. This is light remedial work!!! Now I have uneven floors and carpets that show where the boards have been removed.. not what I paid for ..

Beware. I’ve been told that 80% of customers in the estate have had the same issues. And there are. It’s to come

I So wish I could upload my pictures one year one. I’d have given Miller 4* at first they were all over us like a rash.. why wouldn’t it be good?? Wait till things go wrong and I don’t mean minor… if anyone wants pics more than happy to share.

See above pic upstairs floors are ripped up in a 4 bed detached house .. for starter. … it’s not good. More to come ..

Scraping the barrel .

Scraping the barrel .. millets blacks associated companies seem to be scraping the barrel… owned by JD sports they take your money abs your items arrive in dribs and drabs…. Or not at all… then you have half the order and expected to fill out paper iv not revised Thai item before they will accept it’s not sent or missing…

Ordered several items .. online seems really badly set up.. steer clear from that as an experience again

I have a credit score of 999 out of 999 with a savings account of over 106k biy I don’t meet their criteria after living to a new house house that cost me 400k

So maybe unless you live in Knightsbridge I’m not worthy

Pure neglect

Hi all I want to share an email from the secure centre in Stafford. (Original email I have)

I had an issue which wasn’t booed back in however after a conversation with warranty to the claim was granted..

At the same time there was another issue with a Hulex pump which had shown a warning light. I informed the garage who cleared the fault made good the seals (£943) and handed the caR back. As far as I was concerned all sorted

A week or two later the same fault appeared and I was told the Hulex pump was faulty. The Emil below is from the service manager saying the seals which were covered in warranty is different from the pump which is now going to cost £740 approx

My complaint is at the Time the car went back in they cleared the warning light and failed to inform me this was nothing to do with the seals. They now comment that in their email.

I’ve since asked why if you can prove from your diagnostics did you fail to inform me of this. This car has been back twice ..

This is pure incompetence of a dealer who clearly is out to rip off people.

Please see below diagrams, for transparancy please let me show you the failed items on your vehicle.

The rear Haldex oil pump has failed, this is not related in any way to the front transfer box oil seals that were replaced in August, I have records to show that the vehicle had faulted on the 14th of Septeber less than 200 miles before the vehicle came into Stafford Land Rover, The componant is part electrical so stored this information in its memery.

I completley understand that any fault that occurs on a vehicle is a dissapointment but I hope this diagram explains that the faults are completely un related therefore we are unable to proceed under the lapsed Warranty.

They knew the car had a fault which I’d already told them off. And failed to inform me this was the issue. All they did was remove shh fault light give me the cat back. This is dangerous practice. It was only after a second return I was told there was a new issue and new cost. They knew about this when the seals were changed and did NOTHING

It’s not what I’d expect from any dealer let alone one who so called prides it’s self

The dealership don’t care and the customer service don’t care..

I’m not expecting the car to be fixed I’d it’s not under warranty but when it goes in with a fault and I’m given the car back. That incompetence.. neglectful and shoddy workmanship.

Don’t do what they say

Quick to take your money and I’m sure the products area great but trying to contact someone or cancel an order is really poor

The website says change your order date after purchase. And when I did I couldn’t change the date. Tried to cancel three times. Then said cancelled and received DPD notification to say item being delivered ???

Used Discovery

I bought a discovery from Stafford Land Rover after calling ok one weekend. Loved the test drives. Nothing was too much trouble. Decided to pay cash and didn’t take much notice of the car at that point.. had the usual you you want finance? Do you want PCP can I sell you insurance. Damage sctach policy the usual with a service plan.

A week later I notice tyres are cut into, windows sticking, boots dropping. It takes 3 weeks to get into the garage. Are there that many cars with faults?

Boots sorted, tyres I’m told are ok and legal? And window fault is in order. Drive away try the windows. Seems clear to me they have done the wrong window 🤣🤣🤣🤣 the one that’s faulty is still faulty and the window is covered in WD40...

The tyres are only £145 per tyre bargain I’ll have 4 please.. the light cluster needs to be checked as it’s allre my not under warrenty? Not sure how part of a car can’t be when a sealed unit has some foreign body in it.

So emailed again so let’s see what he next phase is. And? I’ve never had to pay for insurance on a curtesy car but with Land Rover you do!! I’ve always had a complementary wash and clean at Jaguar and Honda but not with Land Rover ...

Staffors tanning shop

I’ve Been going to the Tanning shop I’m Stafford for a few months. The staff are really helpful. The sun beds are really good with loads of controls to adjust to your own requirements.

The staff will always try and get you booked in and if there is a short wait it’s bit long until there is a refreshed cleaned bed waiting
