Pure neglect
Hi all I want to share an email from the secure centre in Stafford. (Original email I have)
I had an issue which wasn’t booed back in however after a conversation with warranty to the claim was granted..
At the same time there was another issue with a Hulex pump which had shown a warning light. I informed the garage who cleared the fault made good the seals (£943) and handed the caR back. As far as I was concerned all sorted
A week or two later the same fault appeared and I was told the Hulex pump was faulty. The Emil below is from the service manager saying the seals which were covered in warranty is different from the pump which is now going to cost £740 approx
My complaint is at the Time the car went back in they cleared the warning light and failed to inform me this was nothing to do with the seals. They now comment that in their email.
I’ve since asked why if you can prove from your diagnostics did you fail to inform me of this. This car has been back twice ..
This is pure incompetence of a dealer who clearly is out to rip off people.

Please see below diagrams, for transparancy please let me show you the failed items on your vehicle.
The rear Haldex oil pump has failed, this is not related in any way to the front transfer box oil seals that were replaced in August, I have records to show that the vehicle had faulted on the 14th of Septeber less than 200 miles before the vehicle came into Stafford Land Rover, The componant is part electrical so stored this information in its memery.
I completley understand that any fault that occurs on a vehicle is a dissapointment but I hope this diagram explains that the faults are completely un related therefore we are unable to proceed under the lapsed Warranty.

They knew the car had a fault which I’d already told them off. And failed to inform me this was the issue. All they did was remove shh fault light give me the cat back. This is dangerous practice. It was only after a second return I was told there was a new issue and new cost. They knew about this when the seals were changed and did NOTHING
It’s not what I’d expect from any dealer let alone one who so called prides it’s self
The dealership don’t care and the customer service don’t care..
I’m not expecting the car to be fixed I’d it’s not under warranty but when it goes in with a fault and I’m given the car back. That incompetence.. neglectful and shoddy workmanship.
