I received an email from "Claire" at …

I received an email from "Claire" at Evri regarding my parcel because the status on the Evri website hasn't updated since July 31st when it said Evri had collected it
Claire promised to contact me by 10am today if it hadn't arrived. Guess what?? It hasn't and she hasn't! So I have NO idea if or when I will receive it! Why do they lie to customers??
UPDATE8/4/25 I've just received the EXACT SAME EMAIL from "Claire" again- promising to contact me again!!Evri obviously just rinse and repeat! They don't care about the customers.

I bought a perfume with discount from…

I bought a perfume with discount from this company but after I placed the order, I realised that I was £2.40 short of the threshold for Buy Now Pay Later so I contacted them within a few hours to cancel it. The advisor said it couldn't be cancelled because it wouldn't show on their system until the following day, so I requested that they cancelled the order when it appeared on their screen and also said I'd send an email to that effect ,which I did immediately. However the following day when I checked my account it had already been dispatched! Most distance selling companies have a cancellation option when you place the order but not Freemans! It's a very sneaky way to treat customers so I won't shop with them again. My order no is 179420.

VERY POOR service

I regularly ( around every eight weeks )get crackling on the line, meaning VERY slow internet as well as a bad line.It happens so frequently I'm sick of contacting a "guide" at BT because there is NEVER a lasting resolution of the problem! Every time I have to go through the same tired old pantomime - stay off the line while they run "checks" on it, but IT ALWAYS returns. They keep asking me to upgrade to VOIP but you need a good fast and reliable internet connection for it to work properly- which I don't have! Paying a lot for a very poor service isn't good but the CEO Allison Kirkby rakes in £288 grand a year! How they keep attracting new customers I cannot imagine!

Great selection and good quality.

I really like Peacocks clothes. I've shopped with them for a long time, but I wish we still had a local store. The quality is usually excellent- designs are innovative and they wash well. I'm still wearing tops from them which I've had for years and the prices are competitive. I've just bought a gorgeous burgundy polkadot tea dress- I sized up and it fits well.

The clothes are now only designed for skinny teens and 20 somethings. Loads of sleeveless dresses, very slim fitting, questionable quality and they've become VERY expensive.I use two other stores now; good quality fashionable clothing at realistic prices and they cater for everyone.

YET AGAIN the No 1 service in…

YET AGAIN the No 1 service in Shrewsbury hasn't turned up!
Why do (non) Arriva lie and say it runs every twenty minutes from Mon - FrI? It DOESN'T.I waited for it from 11. 40 opposite Home Bargains in Monkmoor.
It was due at 1145, then the next one was due 20 minutes later at 12.05. By 12.20 NOTHING had turned up so yet again I had to walk with FOUR bags of heavy shopping for more than half an hour!
Arriva have also had the utter CHEEK to increase the prices! It's now 40 pence extra! £6. 20 for a local return is extortionate for a 10 minute journey! Why?? They are not providing a "service"!
I don't understand why they haven't been closed down for not doing what they're paid to.
UPDATE 22/7/25 SAME OLD COPY AND PASTE REPLY FROM ARRIVA AND THE "CONTACT US" LINK DOESN'T EVEN WORK!

Horrible female assistant in their…

There is a horrible miserable female assistant in their pharmacy in Shrewsbury Town Centre. My toe started bleeding quite badly today, and it was a really hot day so I bought some antiseptic wipes and plasters from Boots. I explained the problem to her and politely asked if I could use the consulting room to attend to it but she refused. She shouldn't be allowed a customer facing role with her appalling attitude!

What a great company My Origines is

What a great company My Origines is! This was my first order, on June 22nd and the parcel arrived today just 8 days after ordering from Spain- which is quicker than many UK companies . I was kept fully informed from the point of order until delivery AND there were no import taxes! The parcel was really well packed ,with lots of protective tissue! Also the prices were the best on the internet .I'm VERY impressed! Thank you very much! I will definitely use My Origines again and recommend them highly! My order number was 200002840509. They put many UK companies to shame!

Scammers!…

BEWARE- this company are SCAMMERS!! I completed their online test and paid £1.00 in two amounts of 50 pence each,which I assumed was a one off fee, only to find , once I'd paid it that payments of 29.99 would be taken from my account monthly unless I cancelled. NOTHING was mentioned about this when I pay the £1.00! , I attempted to cancel immediately, but I was directed to a 404 error page.!
I have had to contact my card company's fraud department, cut up my card and request a new one to stop these scammers stealing from me !!
NOT informing people that they are signing up to a monthly subscription service, OR giving them a way to cancel is FRAUD!
UPDATE They have replied with their stock universal answer but I will not respond to their request for MORE information. I have contacted my card company , cut up my card and requested they block ANY transaction on my account from these scammers !

Trying to ensure a company is blocked…

Trying to ensure a company is blocked from putting any payments on my Capital One card was a nightmare. The company concerned is MY IQ. I paid £1.00 which I thought was a one off fee, only to find out after I'd paid it that they would take a recurring monthly payment of £29.99 ! I was unable to cancel because I was directed to a 404 error page when I tried, so had to contact Capital One. How difficult is it to block a company when a customer requests it?? It took me nearly an hour on the phone today! Not informing people that they are signing up to a monthly subscription and then not giving them a way to cancel is FRAUDULENT!

Trying to block any transactions from a…

Trying to block any transactions from a certain company on my Capital One account today is a nightmare. I asked for any subsequent transactions or subscriptions on my account FROM THAT COMPANY to be BLOCKED! How difficult is that to understand?? It took me almost an hour to (hopefully) resolve it on the phone!!

Excellent customer service!

They took a while to arrive but the owner was very apologetic and included an extra sample together with a gift voucher AND A FULL REFUND! Fantastic service! The perfumes are gorgeous. Thanks very much indeed!
UPDATE Their website seems to have suddenly disappeared.

I ordered a book from this bookshop via Abe books and paid over £12.
What I received today- TWELVE DAYS LATER- although it only travelled from Southport to Shropshire- was a pamphlet with less than 12 pages of actual information!
A complete ripoff, basically!

Peacocks is my favourite clothes store

Peacocks is my favourite clothes store! Items arrived packed beautifully- laid flat with tissue inside, on a hanger and covered with polythene- as if you were buying designer items! I've just bought a gorgeous jumper in the sale for £6! I have lots of really nice items from them and the prices and quality are excellent. The clothes wash and last really well!
