On the whole, very good.

Communications were good, price very competetive, and item was shipped immediately, but packaging was poor - very flimsy, and battered by the time it arrived. It would have been 5* otherwise. Would use them again.

Happy Customer

Despite reading local complaints, I have never had a problem with Hermes deliveries. My parcels always arrive when expected, and have never gone missing, so I am very happy. My only negative comment would be that the courier these days, just deposits the parcel in the centre of the doorstep, in full view of passers by, without waiting to see if anyone is in. I would prefer it to be placed in the corner of the porch, where I would still find it without a problem.

DOSF6920P1/G 60Cm `Victoria` Double Oven

We have had this oven now for about 6 months, and unfortunately have been somewhat disappointed - mainly because it is so user unfriendly. All the programmes for the main oven are operated by two knobs, including time, light, child lock, delayed cooking etc. etc. and to get the correct sequence of turns and pushes of both knobs is for us a nightmare. We actually had to request a training course at headquarters. A stranger could not come into our kitchen and start to cook, without assistance or reference to the handbook. We usually do a lot of research before purchasing any appliance, but in this case, we did not want a black or stainless steel oven, and that is all that's available from other manufacturers, so we were delighted to come across this cream one. The negative was that not one retailer in our area of Reading stocked this model, so we could not even see what we were buying. We don't use the oven much, as being only two people, we can manage with the oven in our microwave, but already two bulbs have blown, and we have been sent replacements. We wish we hadn't been so hasty with this expensive purchase, and no, we would not recommend this oven.

Disappointing!

My Mothers' Day flowers were somewhat disappointing, and not good value for money. When they arrived, petals were already falling off one of the gerberas, and by yesterday, Wednesday, one of the roses had completely wilted and had to be removed, despite the flowers being guaranteed for 7 days. When I changed the water, added the spare food, and trimmed all the stems, I counted 9 stems of quite bushy greenery. Unfortunately, there was no identification at all of the florist who prepared the flowers, and no information on the included flowers - just a general care leaflet. I would not choose Interflora myself, if sending flowers, as some florists are better than others, and it can be very much 'pot luck'. I also received flowers from Bloom & Wild, and there really is no comparison. Alright, you have to arrange them yourself, but I have received them on three occasions now, and they are stunning, last for ages, a greater variety of flowers is included, and every one is identified with a colour photo, and care instructions.

Disappointed.

I had done my research, knew what I wanted, and was purchasing a Ruark R1 Mk3 radio. It was to be a surprise Christmas present for my husband, and as the price was the same online and from retailers, I decided to go to Richer Sounds, where I could take it home in preference to having it delivered. Unfortunately, the radio was out of stock, but Kieren, whom I found efficient but somewhat cold and unfriendly, told me I could have it delivered, which I agreed to. He offered me next day delivery for £4.99, which I refused, and said I was happy to wait a few days for free delivery - as it happened it was delivered the next day! What really upset and annoyed me, is that I asked Kieren if the radio would be wrapped, and not identifiable, as obviously I didn't want my husband to see it, and he seemed unsure, but thought it would be wrapped. Why didn't he say "I will ensure that it is wrapped"? As it happened, the courier handed it to me exactly as it had been picked from the shelf - apart from the Ruark box, there was no protective wrapping whatsoever, so thank goodness my husband just happened to be in the garage at that time, or he would have answered the door himself, and seen his surprise present!!! Never, ever, have I had anything delivered without some protective covering. The radio, by the way, is excellent, and I would highly recommend it, but I wasn't impressed by the service I received at Richer Sounds.

Just O.K.

Excellent, fast delivery from Laithwaites, but the special offer box of New Zealand sauvignon blanc wines was rather disappointing. Very ordinary, and like a run of the mill cheap supermarket white. Quite acceptable, but not smooth and distinctive, as I expect from New Zealand - it had quite an edge. I think if I had paid full price, I might be returning it.

The wines in question were Company Bay, and Mt. Richmond

Purchased my previous 2yr contract with Smartphonecompany, and was very satisfied, so had no qualms about updating with them, recently. Phone arrived next day, and I am very happy with it. Not quite as good a deal as I got 2yrs ago, as a new customer, but as good as anywhere else.

Very impressed with the service, and would use again. Communication was good, and delivery was very speedy, and even the one item which was out of stock was delivered sooner than I expected. Good choice of games and toys to choose from, too - some not available elsewhere.

Unsatisfactory Delivery Time

I ordered frames only, which could have been put in the post the next day, but they took 2 weeks to arrive, and I received no communication explaining why. Although nothing wrong with the frames, they did not suit me, so I needed to return them, and this took 2 e-mails and a phone call before they provided the necessary authorisation and label for me to do this. The refund was done promptly, but no, I wouldn't use SelectSpecs again.

Your order placed on the 5th June was completed and dispatched on the 16th June. We do state that orders are completed and dispatched within 7-10 working days and your order was completed within this time, this allows for frames to be ordered in from suppliers if we do not hold that particular option in stock. Had the order have been delayed we would have contacted you.

With regards to your emails, we offered you an exchange initially as this is sometimes a preferred option from customers.

A Satisfied Customer

I ordered two different frames, which were delivered within a couple of days.
Disappointingly, neither one suited me, so I needed to return both. Upon request, I was provided with a Freepost label, and the return process was quite straightforward. I was notified when the package had been received, and within days my credit card was fully refunded. Thank you Pretavoir - I would not hesitate to use you again.

ONE UNHAPPY CUSTOMER!

I have no complaints about the item I ordered, but before ordering, I phoned Wickens to check if the delivery could be delayed, as we were going on holiday, and there would be nobody available to receive the large and heavy picnic/sand table. The one thing I did not want to happen was for my very elderly next door neighbour to be disturbed, and asked to take it in - firstly, it was a very heavy item, and secondly, it would appear rather irresponsible of me to order something, knowing I would not be available to receive it, and expect him to take it in. After ordering the item, I also e-mailed Wickens to confirm my request for delivery on a date following our return from holiday. On our return, I found an e-mail, informing me that the picnic table had been dispatched almost straight away, and yes, delivered a day or so later - to my next door neighbour, who, very fortunately, was in, as there are no other neightbours! Needless to say I was very disappointed and annoyed, as I used a family business thinking I would receive a better and more flexible service, even though I could have bought cheaper elsewhere. They are probably very good, providing you have no special requests - if you do, then try elsewhere.

I am sorry that you are unhappy with the service that you received and that we did not do as requested, we had intended to.

I have looked into the details and the only thing that I can put the error down to is a member of staff got the wrong column on the calendar in regards to it arriving a week earlier than intended.

We received the order on Monday 11th August and an email shortly after asking for delivery on Thursday 28th August. We normally get items delivered with 4 working days so I know that we did hold the item as it was held until Tuesday 19th August. It was sent on a 48hr delivery service so delivery was for Thursday 21st which was exactly a week before it should have been.

We do try to do the best by our customers all the time and special request are always accommodated where possible. As I have said I am putting this down to human error in regards to the columns on the calendar, it was not a case of not trying to help. I apologise for any inconvenience that this caused.

The product that you purchased looks like it can purchased elsewhere as other sellers (some national retailers) call it a very similar name but it is not until you look at the pictures very closely that you will notice you picnic bench has two pieces of timer down both sides for the seats. Other very similar priced seats from the same manufacturer only have one piece of timber for the seats down both sides. That is annoying!

I AM A VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!

Just bought a new BEKO WMB71642W washing machine - very impressed! At £239, it was less than half the cost of my Siemens, which lasted 5 - 6 years, and was too expensive to repair. I am delighted with the Beko, which does everything I need and more. Bought it because of other positive reviews, and would thoroughly recommend it to others. Appliancesonline were brilliant - ordered at 9pm last Tuesday, and was washing by midday on Wednesday. They had the best price too, including next day delivery.

This was my first purchase, and I am very impressed with my long-vee cardigan - just as described, nice quality, and accurate sizing. I have already ordered another top for myself - the one with a collar and small pearl buttons, and two different cardigans for my husband. Unfortunately, one of his is out of stock, and is taking rather a while, but Woolovers is keeping me informed, and I am sure it will be worth waiting for.

If possible, I wouldn't even give them 1 star. Have received no communication whatsoever from them, since placing my order on 4th November. They took my money, have been ignoring e-mails, and their website has been down now for several days. Unfortunately for me, the amount of money is less than £100, so I doubt if my credit card company will refund me.
