Spotify has a very bad taste

The choice Spotify gives you based on your playlist is extremely miserable. Every time I listen to my music and suddenly some generic stuff starts spilling into my ears, I know — choice is "carefully" made for me.
It’s also missing some good musicians, and the search tools are TOO primitive to discover anything new or worthy.
So, for searching I have to find music through my own channels and then primitively type it in and add it to my playlist. 8)
Communication doesn’t exist on Spotify. We end up sharing music through WhatsApp, for example.
The only reason I pay those whatever 10 euros is just not to hear the disgusting screams of German advertising during my outdoor runs.

Cesspool of ads, every song is traded off with 3 ads if you don't let it autoplay but search by yourself you'll be listening to more ads than music. Absolutely pathetic

Tried to get in touch with someone

Wanted to find out how to revert the DJ back to how it used to be (if possible).

Nothing on app. Went to feedback page, their AI was useless. It sent me to community help and found nothing there.

If there is an email address to send for help it is well hidden. Unless toyr question is something very specific there is no help.

Best Digital Streaming Platform

I've been using Spotify for a year now, and I can say that it is the best music streaming platform ever. The student-friendly discount is very nice because it allows students to avail themselves of a much cheaper price. The premium version is very awesome, especially the feature that lets you download and stream music offline.

I was surprised to see all the negative reviews here about spotify. My family absolutely enjoys their service. Spotify is easily the best streaming platform out of all of them. Not to mention they're the cheapest.

Disgraceful non existent customer…

Disgraceful non existent customer service. Service reps that are as useful as an umbrella on a sinking ship! My card was scammed so payment would come out, as soon as my new card came I updated it but the family accounts were deleted and despite the main account saying it had premium….it didn’t and for some reason the so called “ customer service advisor” continually ignored my question then eventually, cut me off, for the second time. Despite my address being recognised on all search software….Spotifys software didn’t! The rep told me to just make one up, maybe a neighbours !!! Do yourself a favor, use Apple Music or another alternative that actually has a customer service and doesn’t just take your money and ignore you!

Pay or You'll just have ADs

If you are not paying for it, it is basically an AD farm; just played a song and it played an AD before ht 3min song and then played the same AD right after the 3min song. It use to be alright to use the free verison but anymore, you should just use YT, there are less ADs on it even without an AD blocker. Paid for this for 15years, stop to try it without for a bit, makes me not want to ever sign back up for it they are just so bad. ADs shouldn't out do songs in an hour of play.

Spotify dumb algorithms

Spotify, your algorithms are a joke. I’m an artist with 245 monthly listeners, uploading real music, never paid for promotion, never pushed into playlists—and yet my tracks are deleted because of 'suspicious activity'. Is this how you 'support' new talent? By suffocating us before we even get a chance?

Your platform pretends to help artists, but in reality, it only serves the already popular. Fix your broken, soul-crushing algorithms, or admit that Spotify is just a playground for big names while small creators starve in silence.

Very disappointed with Spotify lately. The app keeps crashing and sometimes doesn’t even load songs properly. Too many ads on the free version, and even with Premium I’ve had songs skip or stop for no reason. The recommendations used to be great but now they repeat the same tracks over and over.

Customer support isn’t very helpful either — I tried to fix my issue but got no proper response. Honestly, the app has gone downhill and needs serious improvement.

Appalled.

I signed up for a 3 month free trial. I found an audio book that I wanted to listen to. 1/2 way through the book they said my reading time had run out. I had two choices…either pay $12.99 to upgrade or wait 25 days to listen to the rest of the book. This is totally unacceptable to me, Im canceling and will never use Spotify again. Your tactics to get people to spend money has backfired…you just lost me as a customer.

Advertising in increased volume!

My only complain regarding Spotify:
I understand that they place ads on Spotify when it's freely used—without any subscription. However, I don't understand why they double up the volume of certain ads—Advertising in increased volume, causing discrepancies in the overall volume!
