Now it's official
Now it's official, they have decided to filter down even more now since I'm not making them as much money as I used to (no fault of my own or other artists). I have been selling my art on the platform since 2015. Today they removed my artist shop. Society6 lacks ethical or moral standards. We all deserve better!
Pillow covers were undersized
Pillow covers were undersized. Inserts were correct. What a mismatch. Even though they were sold as a set. And no way to get a response. Seems like a scam.
Sent me wrong insert & cover packaged as a SET the wrong…
Sent me packaged as a SET the wrong sized inserts for all FOUR of the pillows I ordered. And then all I could do was try to submit a claim that did not go through. Reading these reviews I don’t know how this company is still in business. DO NOT USE THEM!!! Learn from the rest of us.
Poor customer service
They shipped a mug to me without a box that I was giving as a gift. When I emailed them about that, they said they "didn't offer gift wrapping," which was a deliberate misunderstanding of my question. I've never ordered a mug from anywhere that didn't come in a box. The 2nd mug was for me, and when it was about a year old, the handle simply fell off. I picked it up and it fell off. I couldn't get a replacement from them or a refund because they only do that within 30 days.
Careless shipping (broken items) and useless customer service
I ordered a coffee mug with a printed design. It arrived in a cardboard box and I could hear broken glass rattling around inside as soon as I picked it up. Sure enough, I opened the package and found they didn't even pack the mug in any kind of protective wrapping at all, not even paper or bubble wrap, just a plastic topper on both ends that did nothing. I received a coffee mug broken into dozens of pieces. Then, their website doesn't even let you upload pictures or submit a request. The offer is a 'return" where they deduct 7.95 from the total refund amount. Ludicrous. Very shady operating if they are going to ship breakable products with zero chance of them arriving in one piece. Do not waste your money or time.
Customer service does not help or try…
Customer service does not help or try to help after an order is placed. Cynthia is dismissive & never got back to answer my questions and just shipped the order. As pretty as some of the items are once customer service brushes me off abd now makes me have to return to reorder the same product left me with a bad taste. It is a real pain and time consuming for something that coukd easily been resolved. If the customer service continues like this I don't see this company success continuing. Etsy baby
Horrible in every way
I ordered a framed Klimt print for a gift. It was absolutely horrible. The print was of very poor quality, blurred lines, colors awful. The print was in the frame, sort of. The frame was bent and the print was half in, half out. Never again! I had ordered it 6 months in advance and made the mistake of not opening the box immediately.
Artists Deserve Better
I’ve been selling on Society6 for a while, and it’s sad to see how the platform has changed. They keep calling it an artist community, but lately it feels more like a mini Amazon — driven by algorithms, not art.
Commissions are already low, and now they’re removing artists with “low engagement,” even though visibility has become nearly impossible.
Instead of supporting creativity, they’re cutting off the very people who made this platform what it was.
Society6 used to be about art — now it’s just about profit.
I order a shower curtain
I order a shower curtain. It came and the print was blurry like a bad copy. Looks nothing like the photo and terrible quality for the price. To add insult, I have to pay $7.95 just to return this turd. I feel scammed and deceived. So disappointed, please do NOT order from this company.
DON'T ORDER - can't return purchased items
I ordered an item and tried returning it, but continuously kept receiving an automatic reply saying someone would contact me in 48 hours but never did. DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I really wanted to support artists but this isn't the way to do that. I called and every extension has the same message saying to send an email and then hangs up. Very disappointed. The item I ordered was expensive. I will now chase the payment through my credit card.
They are so incompetent
They are so incompetent. It takes close to 2 weeks to get something you order. Shipping is expensive and I ordered two posters. They were both super thin and just crap you could print from a computer. Do not deal with them. And there is no customer service you can call. Send an email and hope for a response.
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE HELP AT ALL!!
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE HELP AT ALL!!! WEEKS OF UNANSWERED EMAILS! THEY SENT ME THE WONG ITEMS!
Platform that begins for artist for the…
Platform that begins for artist for the good and helping of the artist selling art! Now is only a banner of the creators! That only want elite! We never sell nothing! And the quality is terrible!
The product was wet and damaged
The product was wet and damaged. No phone number listed only contact my email.
Buyer Beward! They take your money, then silence!
I ordered glitter and sequin pillows, and received cotton spotted pillows. Attempts to reach customer service go unanswered. Attempts to reach the artist directly go unanswered.
The products are expensive, and the customer service is nonexistent. Spend your money elsewhere, it's not worth the risk at Society 6.
Ghost company
Ghost company. Can't even unsubscribe from spamming email marketing nor delete my personal details from account. Surely this is illegal nowadays. I have written 3 emails to no avail.
it's just weird
it's just weird; i've tried to contact them several times but no joy, and, it seems that they do NOT deliver overseas: checkout keeps coming up with a problem with my address - doesn't inspire confidence, does it.
Do Not Business Here
Do not do business with this company! I tried to contact customer service to cancel my order. I tried “live chat”, I answered the their many questions & then they ended the chat. This happened 4 times. I call the contact number it goes to a different company, their email to me is a no-reply email. I contacted my bank, filed a dispute & they reversed the charges. (Chase Manhattan)
Wrong item
Wrong item. Wrong shape and size. Wrong pattern. Just wrong. No customer support. I already know this company will not do right by its customers. Now I have to return this huge dog bed that I never ordered just to get my money back. Complaining to BBB. Ridiculous scam artists. Is that constructive enough? How about just do better.
BEWARE
BEWARE! I paid $55.90 for a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle. When it arrived, I was thrilled with the quality of the puzzle pieces and the vibrancy of the puzzles’s colors. I intended to frame the puzzle as a housewarming gift for my newly married grandson’s new home and was so excited at the prospect. I received the puzzle on March 20. I finished the puzzle the first week in June only to discover that there was a piece missing. I live alone, worked on the puzzle in a designated area, and I did not vacuum until finishing. When I finally figured out how to email Society 6, they replied by email refusing to replace the jigsaw puzzle based on their 30-day return policy. So I am left with a useless product and a waste of many hours of my time while they have my $55.90.
