Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Customers appreciate the platform's user-friendly interface and the potential for the AI to match them with suitable job opportunities when profiles are up-to-date. People find the resume and cover letter tips helpful, as well as the skills tests that help them create a strong profile. The daily job postings and updates are useful for getting an idea of the job market. Some reviewers report a quick and easy job search experience. However, some consumers report that the job search function doesn't always provide a huge list of local employers. Some users express frustration with the relevance of job suggestions, noting that the filters are ineffective and they receive postings unrelated to their experience or desired job type. Others mention issues with the website and app, such as difficulties uploading resumes or problems with the search engine. Some reviewers report that they keep seeing the same jobs even after marking them as not interested.

Filters, Distance, Titles — All useless in this apps

Whatever filters you put in, it won’t matter. So, if you key in “Registered Nurse” or “RN” in your own city and limit the results to a 50-mile radius, the Monster app will still give you results for cities 100 miles away (and for every LPN and Nurse Practitioner job as well). However, if you cut down on the distance radius — say to 20 miles — you’ll significantly cut down on the number of posted jobs, and they’ll still be irrelevant. In one recent search, I literally got only 7 listed jobs, but all were Nurse Practitioner vacancies instead of RN… and there’s a big difference.

Used to be good…

I hadn’t been looking for a job in years, so when I found myself in that position, I went to Monster years ago. Well, I would say at least 75% of the jobs were fake posting unrealistic salaries for only part time hours. Too disappointing. I go to Rat Race Rebellion now. They screen every single job and only present the true work from home jobs from stellar companies! Monster used to be a delight, now it’s just scary.

Just the same as all other job search…

Just the same as all other job search sites. job postings taken from other sites, old listings, roles expired and fake.
Sign up, create an account, upload cv … and then be contacted by hundreds of scammers and fake job offers. All personal details leaked.
Deleted my account and the scam emails and caller’s stopped instantly. Coincidence??

Too overloaded

Got my first admin job through Monster years ago—still grateful. These days the feed’s noisy: lots of recruiter spam, postings that don’t exist, and the “easy apply” button feels like shouting into a fog. That said, two callbacks this month, so it’s not dead-just rougher around the edges.
