Review of Liftrecruitment

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Waste of time

Completely misled and lied to through out after applying for a job advertised by Lift recruitment on Total jobs website. After a successful interview- I started last week.
Just a few days later I was notified by the manager that the company are not in fact taking on any new employees and I was no longer needed.
So why is the job posting still live on Total Jobs? (expires 23 October) , the company still accepting applications and interviewing for the advertised role? and why was I actually employed in the first place if this wasn’t true.
I was also informed the role was a permanent, long term contract and full time position- when it clearly was not either. Lift recruitment also did not even contact me at all to inform me my employment was ending so soon- I’ve had to repeatedly chase them for explanations. I find it impossible to believe the recruiter was unaware of the company’s position at the time of posting the role, or when I applied .
The way I’ve been treated is actually appalling, against the law, no contract was signed, no notice given and I haven’t been paid yet by this agency for the time I worked either.
Remove the job posting from Total jobs website now as the company actually isn’t seeking new employees at all.
Also given very poor excuses from the recruiter when he eventually replied to my messages and simply couldn’t care less.Probably just harvesting my personal data all along.
Avoid Lift recruitment. Just a complete waste of time and a huge con.

Completely misled

Completely misled after applying for a job advertised via a recruitment agency (Lift recruitment) on Total jobs website. After applying, a successful interview- I started last week.
Today I was notified by the manager I would no longer be needed as the company are not taking on new workers at the moment.
So why is the job posting still on Total Jobs? (expires 23 October) , the company is still interviewing ? and why was I even taken on?
I was also told the role was a permanent full time position.
The recruitment agency is now ignoring my calls too when I asked for an explanation.
I find it impossible to believe the situation changed that quickly for the company, the recruitment agency also should have contacted me.
Was the recruiter aware of the company’s position even when posting the role. I have been completely misled since applying.
The way I’ve been treated is actually against the law, no contract was signed, no notice given and I haven’t been paid yet for the time I worked either.
Remove the job posting if the company isn’t actively seeking new workers.
I will be seeking advice and contacting ACAS.

Avoid Total jobs and Lift recruitment.

Update, I have contacted customer support with all the details- the role on Total jobs has not been removed.

Hidden prices and extra add ons …

Hidden prices and extra add ons not explained anywhere.
I recently had an eye test at your store, was given extra scans with no explanation why these were needed as I didn’t have these last time. I had a new prescription then chose frames, with the lenses and other costs added on the total cost was £300.
Nowhere (in store)did it state costs of various lenses or coatings, nor was I told. (varifocals & anti reflective), I completed payment and read the receipt shocked.
Absolutely ridiculous price for 1 pair of glasses, also pressured by assistant to buy expensive designer brands until I insisted no and then more hassle to get me to buy another pair and sunglasses too . Not likely !
Too pushy sales techniques and unclear pricing. Seem to be under the impression that I’d be willing to spend any amount.
Also told my new glasses would take up to 3 weeks to be ready. Hardly express!!.
Now being bombarded with emails asking me to leave feedback and a review, I already have and it’s a negative review.
Absolutely ridiculous.

Dear Me,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m very sorry to hear about your recent experience — this certainly isn’t the level of transparency or service we aim to provide.

We completely understand your frustration regarding the lack of explanation for the additional scans and the pricing of lenses and coatings. All optional extras should always be clearly discussed before proceeding, so you can make an informed decision.

It’s also disappointing to hear you felt pressured to purchase designer brands and additional pairs. Our teams are encouraged to provide options, but this should never feel pushy — your comfort and choice come first.

We will be looking into this further, we’ve sent you a private request for more information. Once we receive your details, we’ll begin looking into the matter right away.

Once again, we sincerely apologize and will make sure to thoroughly look into this matter for you.

Very poor service

Very poor service, over a week since placing my order and it still hasn’t been reviewed or processed. Far too slow. It also doesn’t offer next day delivery.
Too many irrelevant questions for the consultation assessment just to gain more personal data. Pharmacy tried to add on extra items that are unnecessary.
items and delivery costs are too expensive too. Payment shouldn’t be taken until the order is approved and dispatched.
There are other online pharmacies that give a much faster service with next day delivery guaranteed. This company just couldn’t care less.
I want my order cancelled and a full refund.
Update; still not received a full refund

All my orders have been rejected

All my orders have been rejected. Complete waste of time and money, consultations are just useless. Payment was taken then they rejected my orders. Why advertise that you can buy medication online if you have no intention of fulfilling it.
Also far too expensive.
Numerous issues logging into my account - PIN codes are never received or invalid and passwords not recognised , despite entering all correct details.
Scam company just harvesting personal data also. Complete con. AVOID

negative reviews are removed

If a negative review is left for a business or company then trust pilot will email and insist it is removed as it breaches their terms and conditions. Despite editing my review and providing evidence it is genuine it is still not published. Trust pilot is supposed to be impartial and act in fairness but it definitely doesn’t do that, it always sides with the business and probably gets payment for it too. The negative reviews I leave are genuine, honest and I believe I’m being helpful to inform other customers but trust pilot doesn’t like that.
This negative review will probably be removed too.

Paid for next day delivery

Paid for next day delivery. Had email confirmation and a time slot 7am-9pm.
Waited in all day and it never came. Timeslots should be more precise. Tracking on yodel website was useless it never updated throughout the day, no notifications about delays. Waited all day then it was obvious it definitely wasn’t going to be delivered today.
Still waiting for my item to be delivered, no update or new expected delivery date.
Very poor service, not good enough.

Unreliable and misleading

Bought an item online and continued to checkout and payment only to discover an extra item had been added on and included in the total cost and charged on my card. I only noticed it after I received an email with order confirmation. I didn’t want this extra item and there was no way to remove it from my order. I also paid for next day home delivery and this did not happen either. Delivery time slot said 7.30am-9pm. So I stayed in all day waiting, time slots should be more precise, tracking was not updated throughout the day at all by yodel website with no notifications of delays either and by the end of day I realised it wasn’t actually going to be delivered next day at all.
I want a refund for this extra unwanted item and next day delivery that I paid for.
Still waiting for it to be delivered- had no further updates on expected delivery date now.
Completely misleading website.

What a complete con

What a complete shambles this event in Market Harborough was;
poor ‘tribute’ singers, no hot air balloons or parachutes, bike and monster truck ‘stunt performances’ was pathetic also told monster truck rides had to be prebooked online before arrival (it never mentioned this anywhere). very expensive poor quality food stalls and funfair rides. Overcrowded stage areas with poor viewing for any acts, a ‘foam party’ reduced to a muddy health hazard with no child safety.
Huge long queues to get in with inadequate parking, toilets and disabled facilities, bag search and food items confiscated at the entrance but we saw lots of other families with picnics, own food and dogs being allowed in unchecked even though event posters and social media stated no food or dogs allowed onsite. No checks on paid entry/parking tickets either with loads just wandering in for free causing more overcrowding.
Definitely not as advertised on the posters or social media - much of the attractions missing. Schedule times constantly changed, many of the main events cancelled just minutes before with no announcements causing huge disappointment. Very poor event organisation, most of the event staff looked clueless. Event organisers are just money grabbers that disregarded any safety regulations. They must make thousands over these events while acting dishonestly and avoiding regulations.
This event was originally advertised as a three day festival but that suddenly changed last minute with no refunds for those who had already paid for the lost day with online ticket booking.
Complete waste of money and just a huge con, should be reported and banned

Very poor packaging, several items received have been burst open and spilling contents or damaged contents . Boxes arrive open as tape wasn’t adequate. The Evri courier has difficulty carrying them and always comments that the packaging is poor.
Use more tape on your packaging- simple.

Fake job postings and scams

Fake job postings and scams. Pointless entering a location for job alerts as it will send posting for anywhere else in the uk but never your specified area.
Details leaked and scammers constantly calling and messaging via what’s app since creating an account on indeed. Never had a response to any applications and never been contacted by genuine recruiters either . Avoid
Update: pathetic response below from indeed- I’ve reported numerous fake job postings and scams, indeed do nothing about it and they are never removed. They also don’t admit to the security breaches only refer you to useless links and pages on the website.
Boolean searches (as you suggested) are not possible on indeed, on entering a desired job title you can only the choose from the drop down options, any other role or keyword is not recognised. Got loads worse when they started to use AI and bots in searches as it doesn’t recognise simple phrases or keywords at all. Also now unable to browse more than one page of job postings without having to log in- again another attempt to harvest more personal data.

Hi AN, to explain, our search engine will always show results based on relevance. If a certain job title has very limited availability in a location, our search engine will automatically show other jobs beyond your initial search query.

To get the most relevant results, we recommend using a Boolean search, you can also manage and reset your Job Alerts in your account.

Site full of scammers

Orders are never marked as dispatched on my account, no notification or update on my orders and no tracking information on either the website and app. No expected delivery date either. After purchasing it’s just a guessing game when I will receive it as nothing shows. 1 week later still no information about my items despite payment being cleared.
Completely useless and misleading. No communication from seller either to say it’s been dispatched. No response to messages either.
Site full of scammers also and selling fake items or items that arrive nothing like the photo or description and receiving a completely different size to what was ordered. Poor quality items and dirty disgusting clothing.
Poor customer service from vinted when making a query or complaint.

Account and cv suddenly disappeared

As of today I can no longer access my account or log in to this website- all my previous saved details and cv have just suddenly disappeared. I’ve tried several different devices and browsers to try and access it again with no success .
This is totally unacceptable as I now cannot apply for any jobs. I have contacted your support page and left several messages but got no response at all. What has happened to all my data - is it still secure???
Update 1;
Finally got response to my messages after several days, useless response and no actual date when it will finally be resolved.

Update 2; it’s well over 6 weeks now and still having major issues accessing my account. Nothing has been fixed at all despite reporting it several times now, it’s ridiculous.

This latest upgrade has caused numerous problems and unnecessary issues and is taking far too long to resolve. should revert back to the previous system as this had no issues whatsoever and worked perfectly fine for many years.
I will be deleting my account if this issue is not resolved soon, CV Library website is now impossible to use. Issues are still NOT fixed

Difficult to hold the device and press the top button simultaneously, especially in hard to reach areas like on my back. Only used my device twice and now it doesn’t work at all (overheated with burning smell in battery)

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are very sorry to hear about the issues you've encountered with your Paingone device and that you could not use the device as hoped.

If you are seeing a spark when using the device this suggests that it is not being held correctly. The device must be held firmly with fingers making contact with the metal band that encircles the device. Not doing so will cause the device to operate incorrectly.

Those who have especially sensitive skin may see red marking. This is addressed in the device user manual and in such cases it is advised to cease use of the device. We will always offer a refund in such cases where a customer finds they are unable to use their Paingone device.

Please do make contact with our customer service team at help@paingone.com so that we can assist you with a return and refund.

Again we are very sorry that Paingone did not meet your expectations but thank you for sharing your feedback.

Scammers

Completely misleading- Claims to be a small husband and wife run rustic uk company - yeh right, it’s really a Chinese company selling cheap tat using a uk web address.
Quality of items is very poor - fabric is very thin and completely transparent, Sizing is completely wrong too - not uk sizes. Poor finishing with stitching coming undone and fabric causing severe skin irritation .
Don’t fall for all their social media posts and hype its quality of products is complete rubbish. Advertisement and description is completely misleading- the garment I received looks nothing like what the model is wearing. Looks like a completely different garment.
Gone straight in bin - not fit for purpose. This company refuses returns or refunds.
Complete scammers, please read all the other negative reviews for this company before making purchases, they are all genuine & true. avoid this company.
Update; 2 weeks after it was delivered by Evri and I’m still receiving emails with tracking information, stating it’s in transit in the United States. Absolutely useless.

Not worth all the hype

Not worth all the hype, far too expensive.
Poor stitching and finishing on the product, sharp uneven edges causing discomfort and skin irritation from the fabric fibres. under band rolls up when wearing - constantly have to tug it back down to lie flat, doesn’t provide smooth outline under t-shirts because of this. Loses shape after only one wear with outer fabric becoming loose and baggy. Also too hot to wear for long periods especially in summer and definitely not breathable fabric as they claim . Offers no support at all just pushes everything together into an huge unflattering droop and large gaping in the centre gore front area and definitely doesn’t uplift either. Have to constantly tighten straps throughout the day - they work loose as the elasticity loosens. Cheap nasty quality. Very misleading advertising - don’t fall for all the social media marketing & Facebook hype it’s definitely not worth buying. Not even worth one star.
