Ok - the reason I've given 2 stars is the delivery costs were absolutely exorbitant. Basically each item (2 doors and some hinges and handles) were charged separate delivery charges (which I missed) so on a £360 order I was charged and additional £95 in delivery charges which was then charged VAT so came to £108 or so! I live 60 miles south of London so not exactly Maldives. Quality all good though.
The delivery arrived in 2 separate consignments. When I realised that a box of handles locks and hinges had been left, I became concerned that I received an email saying my order had been delivered. I contacted the courier to say that 2 doors were still missing. I believed that the courier had made the mistake of not reading the consignment correctly, they returned hours later with the doors. However that was not the end of it. On opening the box of accessories I was aware that a door lock was missing from the order. I have tried to contact door superstore on several occasions, but they do not answer the telephone. I was in a queue for 10-20 minutes more than once. So I left a message on the email / contact us section. They say they will contact you in this section, but days later I still haven’t been contacted.
Great product - a brass replacement barrel lock - very easy to fit in the old escutcheon plate on our front door. Delivered promptly.
Beautiful doors & handles. Came very well packed on a pallet. We had a problem with the door kits, but soon sorted. Excellent customer service. Would highly recommend.
You had the doors I needed in stock, the company that manufacture them is in receivership and I might not be able to get them in the future ( final two doors to finish the house). They were delivered promptly and the delivery men were great, checked the doors and they were spot on. Thank you and the delivery company.
Nobody can actually tell us when doors are being delivered as its all bought and delivered by 3rd party companies
Also our doors were damaged and after nearly 10days of complaint atill asking questions when all is on delivery note and email sent.
Very very poor customer service.
Door arrived when opened a couple of days later found it was damaged think this happened in transit. Hope it can be disqised to much hassle to return, other doors ordered in past just fine.
Mixed feelings for me, I ordered 8 doors, which arrived on a flat pallet, perfectly wrapped and transported, no complaints. I then needed another single door, this arrived on a carrier truck dumped on a pile of random parcels and other stuff in the back, not packed flat, not stacked at all, I dread to think what I'll find when I unwrap it from it's cardboard on site. Doors should be marked and treated as flat/ upright only in transit to avoid warping/damage.
Stunning doors So helpful everything ran smooth start to finish
Disappointing Experience – Poor Communication and Failed Deliveries
I placed an order for doors on 13th July, advertised as in stock. A delivery was arranged for 16th July, but nothing arrived. When I followed up the next day, I was told the doors were not actually in stock when they attempted to dispatch them. I was reassured they had landed in the UK and would be with me shortly.
A new delivery was scheduled for 7th August — again, nothing turned up. When I called, I was told they were out of stock with no confirmed restock date. At this point, I asked for a refund.
Initially, the refund was refused based on the stated 22–24 day lead time in their terms and conditions. However, I pushed back due to the breakdown in trust and repeated inconvenience. They eventually agreed to process a refund if their supplier confirmed cancellation — again shifting the issue onto the supplier rather than taking ownership as the retailer.
As of writing this, the refund hasn’t been confirmed, though they’ve said I’ll receive an email. I’ve given them 24 hours before escalating to Trading Standards.
While the staff are polite and friendly on the phone, don’t let that mask what has been, in my opinion, unacceptable business practice. They lean heavily on the lead-time clause in the T&Cs, but in the end, trust is everything when buying online from companies you don’t know.
Sadly, my experience suggests serious issues with their order handling and communication — and I would advise others to proceed with caution or avoid.

Door better than expected and delivered quickly
Made an order online, went through as normal, but because I live on IOW they won't deliver. This wouldn't have been a problem had they made it plain on their website that they only deliver to UK mainland, but they advertise nationwide delivery. Now it'll likely take a couple weeks if not more to receive a refund. Not happy as the size of door and style was hard to find and not available off the shelf for an external wooden door.
Always reliable and great to deal with, good range and prompt deliveries.
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!>>>brilliant website to draw you in. ordered 2 matching glass doors, waited 2 months, no delivery, kept calling, loads of broken promises, the first door arrived 3 months later, had to chase second door only to find out of stock. all this after 5 months.
AVOID THIS FIRM AS THEY ARE THE WORST DOOR SUPPLIER EVER........
