Written by the company

We’ve served over 10,000 satisfied customers worldwide, yet Trustpilot only reflects the 1–2% who usually write when they’re unhappy. Trustpilot isn’t an independent review platform — it’s a paid system that rewards those who pay. Here’s what they charge: 🔸 Free plan (€0/month) → 50 review invites, 1 widget, no customization. 🔸 Plus plan (€169/month) → 200 invites, 8 widgets, limited customization. 🔸 Premium plan (€329/month) → 500 invites, 18 widgets, ability to highlight only positive reviews. 🔸 Advanced plan (€539/month) → 5,000 invites, 20 widgets, API integration, “market insights,” and boosted visibility. In short — the more you pay, the better you look. Companies with “perfect” 5-star ratings are usually those on Premium or Advanced plans, not the ones that stay independent and honest. We don’t pay Trustpilot and we don’t authorize them to represent our brand. Our genuine feedback is visible through Instagram, our website, and direct customer emails, where real people share real experiences every day. And if you still have doubts? Pay with PayPal. You’re fully protected — you can open a dispute and get your money back if something isn’t right. You don’t need Trustpilot to feel safe — just transparent brands and secure payment methods. Trustpilot doesn’t build trust — it sells it.

Only about 1–2% of people leave reviews — usually when something goes wrong.
Trustpilot isn’t truly independent: it’s a paid platform where visibility depends on how much a company pays.

Here’s what they charge:
🔸 Free plan (€0 / per month) → only 50 review invites.
🔸 Plus (€189 / per month) → 200 invites, 8 widgets, basic customization.
🔸 Premium (€369 / per month) → 500 invites, 18 widgets, ability to highlight positive reviews.
🔸 Advanced (€599 / per month) → 5,000 invites, API access, “market insights,” and boosted visibility.

That means companies with “perfect” 5-star profiles are usually on paid plans — not independent ones.
We don’t pay Trustpilot, and we don’t authorize them to represent our brand.
Our genuine feedback lives on Instagram, our website, and through direct customer emails.

If you ever have doubts, just pay with PayPal — you’re fully protected and can open a dispute anytime.
If you don’t trust us, pay with PayPal: you’re protected and guaranteed a refund if scammed.

And by the way — have you noticed that big brands like ZARA, Massimo Dutti, or UNIQLO have around 1.5 stars on Trustpilot? Are they scammers too? Of course not — they just don’t care about paying Trustpilot.

Poor quality, unlawful refund practices, ignoring EU consumer authorities

I placed an order with Marini Clothing (Order #4652) in April. Unfortunately, the items were of very poor quality – the fabric felt cheap, the cuts were irregular, and the sizing did not match what was shown on their website. For this reason, I exercised my legal right of withdrawal and returned the entire order in good condition, within the legal timeframe.

From that point onward, the experience was extremely disappointing:
1. Initial refusal of refund
Marini claimed that discounted or bundled items cannot be refunded. This is not permitted under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, which protects consumers’ right of withdrawal for online purchases.
2. Unlawful €25 deduction
They then offered a refund minus €25 for so-called “free shipping”. EU law (Article 13(1)) clearly requires traders to reimburse all payments, including delivery costs. If shipping is advertised as free, no retroactive deduction can be made.
3. Contradictory excuses
Later, Marini claimed that one pair of trousers was missing its tag and that the items were wrinkled. They offered either:

• Option A: refund all items minus €25, or
• Option B: exclude one item completely.

These two positions directly contradict each other. If all items are refundable, the “missing tag” argument is irrelevant. If one item is allegedly not eligible, then the €25 deduction has no legal basis. Both options are unfair and unlawful.
4. Ignoring consumer authorities
I escalated the matter to the European Consumer Centre (ECC). Even after official involvement, Marini has ignored the authorities’ communication and still refuses to process the full refund.

Conclusion:
The products I received were poor in quality, and the company’s handling of returns is in breach of EU consumer law. Even official consumer protection bodies have been disregarded.

Until Marini changes its practices and respects both consumers and EU law, I strongly advise against ordering from them.

Edit 1:
I must correct your statement: the return was not sent in a “fruit bag.” Each garment was placed back into its original plastic sleeve, then additionally protected with a regular shopping bag, and finally packed into a new, sturdy DHL cardboard box — which I had to purchase myself, since you did not provide a return label or suitable packaging for the return.

The items were shipped safely and with care. As for the alleged “wrinkling”: this is an inevitable effect of international transport and does not indicate misuse or neglect. Any retailer handling returns knows that garments may need steaming before resale — this is normal business practice and not a valid reason to deny or reduce a refund.

What matters most: although you repeatedly claim to be “ready to refund,” the fact is that almost six months have now passed since the return and no refund has actually been issued. Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, refunds must be processed within 14 days of withdrawal. Failing to do so is not only unfair but also a clear violation of EU consumer protection law.

Instead of focusing on misleading descriptions of the packaging or minor, inevitable wrinkles, I would expect Marini to respect its legal obligations and finally process the full refund without unlawful deductions.

Edit 2:
After posting this review publicly, Marini finally processed a refund — but only with an unlawful €25 deduction.

It is telling that this refund came only after nearly six months of delay and public pressure, and not because of respect for consumer rights. Under EU law, refunds must be issued within 14 days of withdrawal, not half a year later.

For €25 I will not start a formal lawsuit — and I suspect Marini is counting on exactly this: that customers won’t pursue legal action over a relatively small amount. This, however, highlights the real problem: a business strategy that relies on discouraging consumers from enforcing their rights.

Edit 3:
Marini has now attempted to report my review as “defamatory content” in order to have it removed from Trustpilot. Fortunately, Trustpilot reviewed the case and very quickly rejected this claim, confirming that my review complies with their guidelines.

This attempt to silence legitimate customer feedback only reinforces my negative experience: instead of taking responsibility and improving their practices, Marini invests energy in trying to suppress criticism.

Please stay away from this „business“.

Thank you for sharing your story — though you left out some rather important chapters.

You asked for a refund, and we clearly said we are ready to process it.

The items, however, were returned to us wrinkled, one without its original tag, and all packed inside… a fruit bag. Not exactly how professional returns are usually handled.

We’re a small business, not a giant corporation, and while we respect EU law, we also need to protect ourselves. If every return means losing money and working for free, we simply couldn’t exist.

Still, we offered you a refund with only a modest €25 deduction to cover the costs of cleaning and preparing the items again. The consumer authorities contacted us, we explained the situation, and after that… silence.

So yes, we’re always ready to refund you — but let’s be honest, when garments come back in the condition of “fresh from the fruit market,” you can’t really expect us to shoulder every cost with a smile.

Update:

Everything you wrote is simply not true. We have photos and videos of the return exactly as we received it — wrinkled, missing a tag, and packed inside a fruit bag. These have already been shared with you and with the competent authorities.

Half a year later, after going back and forth with the consumer authorities, we still processed your refund, deducting only €25. Considering the condition of the return, you actually got off lightly.

Hi Johann,

We’ve seen your review and we’re sorry for the misunderstanding.
We would like to clarify that your order was actually refunded twice:

First refund – when you requested to cancel a few items before shipment.

Second refund – after you returned the remaining items.

This means there is no missing amount, and your order was handled correctly according to our policy.

We kindly ask you to update or remove your review, as it does not reflect the actual situation and may create confusion for other customers.

Bad experience

I ordered clothing worth over 300 euros and unfortunately, none of the items fit. I carefully used the size tables provided on their website and ordered accordingly, but the sizing turned out to be completely off.

I reached out to the supplier via the email address listed on their website, but I never received any response. This lack of customer service is very disappointing and shows a level of ignorance toward customers.

The clothes themselves are not terrible, but they are definitely not the quality the brand advertises. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience, and I cannot recommend this brand based on my experience.

Don’t buy here

Don’t buy here. Bad Quality and weird sizes. If you want to return anything be ready to pay for everything even repackaging. They won’t even have an adress you can send it too. So just don’t buy here, it’s just Dropshipping bullshit.

It seems Trustpilot has become the perfect place for the frustrated ones to come and cry, throwing around cheap insults and trying to damage the work we put in every day. Just to clarify: having two warehouses—one in Italy and one in China—does not make us ‘dropshipping,’ it means we actually manage our own logistics. What’s really ironic is disappearing for two weeks, ignoring our reply, and then coming back here to complain about policies you never even read. Responsibility works both ways.

Impressed by the Quality and Fit

I’m truly impressed by these jeans. They arrived a week after shipping and fit me perfectly. The fabric feels premium and the tailoring is spot-on. Even though they’re made in China the quality is clearly from top-tier factories

Marini clothing.

Marini clothing.
Where unbelievable. I ordered the wrong sized jeans and when I realised it I contacted them Absolutely fantastic communication No problem they said. I can either return the jeans or keep them and give them away to someone who they would fit . My jeans where sold out in my size but if I ordered another pair of trousers I wouldn't have to pay anything for the delivery and my jeans would be sent together with the new order. Just over a week later I received my new trousers and Jeans which fit perfectly ...like I said the communication was very friendly and professional I can recommend Marini with 5Stars from 5 ...

Better Than Expected...

These trousers were my first order just to try something new — and I was genuinely impressed. The fabric is excellent and the fit is outstanding. I've never had such a great experience with clothing. Since then I've ordered several more items and have been completely satisfied with every single one
