What an absolute joke.

What an absolute joke.

I placed an order with this lot who also sell on Ebay. Over a week passed and the item hadn't been dispatched. They just held on to the money. Its not the first time they have done this to me, but will definitely be the last.

Steer clear of this shower.

Money taken, goods never arrived.

I purchased 4 ornate shelf brackets on 11 February from Ironmongery world. I received a “shipping notification” and no tracking number on 13 February.

On 23rd March I followed up via email to the company as the goods had not arrived and requested the tracking details as it had not arrived. They did not respond.

I again contacted the company today via email to follow up (30th April), as I have received no goods, and no reply to my requests for tracking/proof of shipment.

I am really disappointed, I had hoped this company would be better but this service is terrible, and feels like a scam.

Just awful

Items ordered on line late December’24. No email confirmation but card payment processed successfully. Concerned by lack of confirmatory email called them as soon as business resumed after New Year, was told they could see my order and confirmed everything was being processed.
A week passed, no goods. Called again, told that there had been a few issues with Royal Mail and they would send the order again.
24 January, still no goods. Called again, told ‘out of stock’ and would be delivered at the beginning of February.
Mid February still nothing.
Email sent detailing everything asking for them to either send goods or refund, and to contact me either way - no response.
Will now pursue Section 75 claim through credit card company.

They owe me a refund still. Incorrect goods returned, my order never sent,

I ordered leaf hooks from Ironmongery world through Etsy. They sent fish hooks. After much chasing return label was sent. I returned incorrect hooks. Was told leaf hooks would be sent out. They never arrived. I am pursuing through PayPal. I was told they had asked Etsy to refund me. Still absolutely nothing. This has all taken over 3 months. Appalling service and they still owe me a refund for non deliverance of goods.

Utter rubbish service.

Utter rubbish service.
Having ordered 3 items that all showed in stock and paid for next day delivery way before the 4pm cut off, surprise surprise, i didn't receive the order next day. In fact, it is the evening of the next day and have had NO dispatch notification.
Just an absolute shower.

Finally received my hardware after waiting and reviewing

EDIT: After I posted my review (below), the company contacted me! After a few messages back and forth, I received the handles today. I'm still not sure why I hadn't received them earlier or gotten a receipt. But they are of nice quality, and I am grateful to TrustPilot for giving me this platform for a good outcome!

FIRST REVIEW: I purchased five drawer pulls almost two weeks ago and have still not received an acknowledgement, receipt, or the items. I've tried all the numbers I can find for them (including Victorian Hardware, which was the site I ordered from), but to no avail—none of the numbers are connecting! I am giving three stars for now in hopes that writing this review will prompt a response to my email, and hopefully, I will be able to come back and upgrade my rating!

ordered and paid for 5" D handles

ordered and paid for 5" D handles. waited for almost 2 months with a variety of excuses on a weekly basis. when i got the handles they were not as advertised. cant get in touch with them to get a refund. i would not be using this company again. dreadful service and an extremely frustrating after service.

If I could give this company a negative…

If I could give this company a negative review I would. I ordered over a dozen sets of handles for the house (so they would match), the same style and sku# I had ordered a few of in previous months. What came was a changed version of the handles (tho same sku#) so the handles in the house will not match. 5 months later, at least 3 promises to send correct handles and then told they don't have the old style anymore. I have accepted the handles will not match (some are already installed) but I am still waiting for them to correct the portion of the order where the handles in one set were facing the same direction and a missing locking mechanism knob for a bathroom handle set. I have had to reschedule the contractor multiple times, poor man, and am STILL waiting to at least get the last working set and missing part.

Don't touch this company with a 50 -- no, a 100 foot pole. I guess I am at fault for assuming that if I keep trying to get my order corrected, I will get a different outcome each time I try.

Bought in Spain

We've bought an iron butterfly doorknocker for our house in Spain. It took some time before the local post gave us a sign that it could be collected at the local postoffice. The thing is beautiful! Thanks.

I should have bought else where, you should do the same

Placed an order for nearly 180.00 on Friday for next day delivery. still hadn't arrived by wed , phoned customer service , the lady really didn't, care kept me holding on, when returned back to me she said she couldn't track my order with royal mail tracking down. yea yea.( what she should have said it not bean sent yet) I said what happened to next day delivery that it is clearly says on web site, if you spend over 55.00 = free delivery and free returns!!, she said we don't do that, i said well why have it in clear black and white stating it so on their delivery info.
I should have gone to another company! You should do the same. also i should have read other people reviews before i spent £180.00 for next day delivery.
to top it all my client thinks is me that messing them around!! its not my company's though!!

Well thank for replying , but i wont be back never will many others ,bad feedback get around quicker that good.

Refund agreed but not made

I ordered a lock and received confirmation that it had been dispatched. However it did not arrive in the time specified. I called the company and they said they did not in fact have the lock in stock and it had not been dispatched. We agreed the order would be cancelled and that I would be refunded. This all took place around 16-17 July. I have still not received my refund although the company has confirmed in writing that it has been made. They have not sent any proof of payment despite my having requested this multiple times. I have now raised a dispute via my credit card company.

terrible customer service

where do i start ! tried to place order on the website but wouldnt work after 4 attempts then the site wouldnt let me back in! called the company and they said they would send a paypal invoice within a couple of minutes... 2 hours later nothing not even in spam folder, called them again left 3 messages with a poor english spoken woman. no call back phoned 4th time asked to speak to manager and was told she was on a lunchbreak at 2;45... i said dont bother will take my business elsewhere-would have ended up over a £1000 worth of goods would have left minus 5 stars if i could-how this company does business is one of lifes mysteries!!

re your reply-we both know you didnt ring me back else it would have come up on my phone-very sad trying to justify your poor customer service...

Absolutely awful experience with this…

Absolutely awful experience with this company. Placed an order and some parts were missing and I'd been sent a few different knobs to what I had ordered (I ordered 11 and 6 of them were the ones I wanted!). After a few emails and weeks back and forth with customer service I decided to just return all items and get a refund as they told me they couldn't send out the items that were missing and I needed to re-order. Still waiting on my refund for the items I returned. I stupidly thought it wouldn't happen a second time and that perhaps it was just a one off...placed a second order and received half of the items I had ordered. I have emailed customer service a few times and they haven't done anything to sort this issue. I recommend never ordering from here. I'm £80+ out of pocket because of this useless company

Not what I thought

I disliked the fact that the white door handles I bought was not actually white. They were more like chrome handles dipped in white paint on Which the paint did not adhere to. An absolute diabolical attempt to Palm off £150 of door handles as being white.

Order not received

I placed an order on Friday, June 7th. By Monday, June 10th, I received an email stating that my order had been shipped, but there were no tracking details provided. Now, it's Monday, June 17th, and I still haven't received my order. There's been no tracking information, and customer service is unresponsive to emails and phone calls. Sending shipping notifications without tracking details is poor customer service. If I don't hear back by today, I will contact PayPal to dispute the charge.

This is unacceptable. DO NOT SHOP HERE.

AVOID! Worst experience EVER!

This company is awful and have the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I ordered a letter plate on May 1st, 1 week later it hadn't arrived so I emailed customer support to check what the issue was. They said it would definitely be with me before the end of the week...alas...no letter plate! Emailed customer service again and was fobbed off with a tale that they are moving warehouse and to bear with them. I did "bear" with them, to no avail. Three weeks later still no letter plate! I emailed again to ask where it was, the person on the other end told me it was still out of stock?! Even though I had a "shipped" email notification on May 2nd! Lies upon lies upon lies! Avoid and do not give them your money. Still no refund which was apparently processed on May 23rd! I've never written a bad review before but this has warranted one. Disappointed is an understatement.

I often wonder how hard can it be these days to answer an email or at least acknowledge them.

Ive been asking Ironmongery World the simplest of questions in relation to an item (8" Surface Door Bolt Polished Chrome (UD030CP08) for the last 10 days.

Cant anyone furnish me with the details Ive requested, it seems not! How very Disappointing
